I thought the smoking thing was symbolic of a bigger problem, but not in the way Jamie did. Yes, he felt ashamed to get caught so he lied and weirdly took it way too far swearing on his mom's life. But I think it was more than being ashamed to have a slip up. I think he feels a lot of pressure to be perfect for Jamie, while Jamie can use her past for an excuse at every turn. There's a huge imbalance created by the match makers that should be addressed imo.

Interesting about Jason 2observe. I was just thinking it was issues with his father leaving but it may be more. I can certainly understand why his mom would not want to be on camera with cancer. Someone here said they thought she may have passed away? Whatever is troubling Jason, I hope he tells Cortney in private. I'm curious, but I don't need to know. Its too much for me when these reality shows exploit such deep hurt. I keep waiting for another side of Cortney. She's been the most unexpected for an experiment like this imo. If she truly is who we are being shown, Jason should count his lucky stars.

I questioned why Monet, Vaughn and Jason signed up for this experiment.  I am really having a hard time figuring out why Jason agreed to do this knowing his mother's condition.  My first thought was that he wanted to get exposure for his wrestling.  Plus, the only reason that I could think of for Jason not introducing Cortney to his mom  was because he doesn't see a forever with her.

Or it could be Jason's mother doesn't want to be filmed in her condition.  I'm not sure if it was me I'd want to deal with it especially not knowing if this is going to work for her son.  Since we haven't seen/heard her we have no idea what's going on.  She might have really disapproved him even doing this show.  What I can't figure out with him is why is he doing it now with everything else stressful in his life.
