Jamie is pretty frank and so is Doug, so I expect we will know a lot after the season is over.  I saved a picture I liked of Doug/Jamie, but don't want to make an avi until I know they are together!  LOL

Yes for a lot of the new reality shows, that's how it is. It wasn't like that for LITW though, they had two great seasons with successful couples.

What I liked about Doug is that he didn't take Jamie's hesitations personally. He must have a strong sense of self in order to hang in there. He was very wise not to press her and to give her space. He deserves so much credit. I'm impressed.

Jason and Courtney seem to be smitten with one another. Each person seems to have a deep capacity to give and to love. I'm really rooting for them.

Vaughn and Monet seem to be very focused on themselves individually...and both seem to be very defensive.  Hopefully, with the experts' help they can get back on track. It's pretty tough, though, to learn the communications skills they need in such a short amount of time.

Who knows, they just might make it work.

I wish they would do 2 hour episodes. We'd get a chance to see more each week.

I think I read the show is actually 10 weeks long. They are filming the the reunion show in two weeks but I don't think it is live or will be shown in 2 weeks

Jamie tweeted that they will be filming a reunion/disunion show in 2 weeks.  figuring they will show it at the end of the season.

I am still rooting for all 3 couples to make it.  Also, as far as the original MAFS, 2 couples stayed married and at least 1 couple are still together per a tweet from Jamie earlier this week.  I will try to find the tweet she did in answer to a question about the danish couples.

This is the first time I heard of this show , is it on regular channel > And what night of the week is it on .?

rc49ers it's on FYI (used to be Biography) on Tuesdays at 9pm.  they normally have a mini marathon at 7pm before the show at 9, (the last two episodes then new one).  also on the weekends there is a marathon of all episodes so far, at least here where I am there is.  if you go to FYI they have previous episodes, but I not sure how many you can see.  also my understanding that Hulu has the series as well as Amazon.com.  good luck and get ready to get addicted  

Thanks Latergater , I just checked and I do not have that channel , I went to a lower package last month ,
as my monthly bill was $ 96.00 dollars a month now its 74.00 but lost 3 of my favorite channels .

I do have hula will check it out .

I actually work with a few guys that live in Howell NJ. I wish they were females as they might get a scoop on Doug. I really like Doug's personality. What a sweet guy. I'm rooting for him and Jamie to work and also for the other two couples.

Wow, I was just telling my female coworker about this show and I told her about Doug and she said that she knows him and his family and that they actually hung out together. He was really good at baseball and good enough to be in the major leagues. He's a great guy although a bit cocky in High School and also good looking when he was younger.  She couldn't believe he's on that show.

I also didn't know that Jamie Otis were a contestant in previous reality shows.

I thought it was not a good move for Monet and Vaughn to get their own place,  both seem to be too set in their ways and do not want to give up anything.. well I say both but I mean mostly Vaughn.  As much as their arguing last night was annoying, it was understandable.  They are both in their 30's, a little "settled", and they haven't had the opportunity to date to hash their communication differences out.. they just got married!  They both seem committed and want this, so I wouldn't be surprised if they end up staying married.  Wouldn't that be something 3 for 3?!!!  

This show is fascinating and much better/more heartwarming/more rootable than TB.

I agree that Monet and Vaughn seem to be at a disadvantage with this format because of their ages/situations in life. I think (as in the case with real life arranged marriages) they work out better, and thus are usually undertaken, when both or at least one party is younger and/or less "settled" into their own routine, and in a better position to make immediate compromises/sacrifices (because they have less to walk away from). To be fair to M/V, both seemed to have very nice living situations already established. Contrast that with the other 4; only Jamie seemed to have a really nice apartment, Doug was living with his parents, and Jason and Cortney had small places (with roommates? I can't remember). I strongly suspect that the show is funding the new places, since it's only for a couple months at most until filming ends and the couples decide if they're in it for the long haul. That's most likely why Jamie was able to keep her original apartment. And yes, if that's the case, then M/V really should have taken the show up on the offer of a free apartment if they really wanted to have a better chance of this working out, but again, they're both pretty stubborn/set in their ways, unlike the other couples.

Nobody commented, and I'm sure it's partly the editing, but I didn't think Doug's mother should have been so hard on Jamie for not attending the baseball game. She should be happy her DIL has a responsible job, considering Doug isn't in a position to fully financially support a wife right now. And I get that she wants to spend time getting to know Jamie, but she has to realize that this isn't a normal marital situation and needs to step back and be patient. It's interesting that out of all 6 people, Doug seems to be the only one who has a very involved extended family complicating things.
