Just some additional thoughts about this letter we talked about. I believe that by now we've both read posts and seen previews and know that the letter that CH gave to Andi at the MTA was described two ways in different previews. One time CH said it was from one of her final two (either F1 or F2) and the other time the announcer said it was from the one she didn't pick (= F2). I believe this letter is actually from F2, which is exactly what US Weekly said in their article (and I believe this year US Weekly was the tabloid picked to get inside information to write their story about the finale).

US Weekly also said that Andi doesn't read the letter and I believe that's how this will be shown as the finale and ATFR unfolds. This is really a recycled story line and matches the journal that Arie kept on Emily's season, where Arie dropped the journal off at Emily's house without seeing her and Emily returned the journal - unread - on the ATFR; I believe we'll see that same storyline used again this season. The only way this whole thing about the letter makes sense is if it plays out on the ATFR after her final choice has been revealed.


Two more related reasons why I think Andi will not read the letter:

- it would suggest a lack of committment to F1 and the show doesn't want the publicity tour to start on a sour note with a dark shadow cast on the happy couple

- we know that Josh took offense to the lie detector test results and Andi didn't look at them out of respect for Josh' and she will again respect Josh and their relationship and not read the letter

So - the show doesn't really want her to read it and Josh doesn't want her to read it - and she won't read it. But they'll still play it up for maximum drama getting to that end, just as they tried to do with Arie's journal.

I suspect that the reason a film crew was in Milwaukee filming Nick (which everyone spoiled seems to know happened, but not why they were filming) is related to this letter and some of that footage will be shown during the ATFR to build up to drama. At the end of the day I don't expect this will be any more significant than it was on Emily's season, and by the end of the ATFR the happy couple will head off into a rosy sunset to do Kimmel and GMA and the typical publicity tour.

No - I'm not sure of it. I won't be sure if she does or if she doesn't until Monday night, but I don't think she will.

The US Weekly article was written shortly after the MTA filming and I think they were given information by the show to write an article hyping the finale.

No - I'm not sure of it. I won't be sure if she does or if she doesn't until Monday night, but I don't think she will.

The US Weekly article was written shortly after the MTA filming and I think they were given information by the show to write an article hyping the finale.

i just meant are you sure this was in the US Weekly article as i hadn't heard anyone mention that before.

I just read the Us article again.  It actually does not discuss the letter at all.  It does mention that the F2 "continued to beg Dorfman for a second chance - even trying to engineer a face-to-face visit in order to plead his case."  And then adds that the source reported that "he thinks there's no way she can be happy with her choice."  Also reports that "before stepping into the rejection limo in Punta Cana, the runner-up told Dorfman he didn't think she was fully confident in her decision."  He was so confident about that, says a pal, that" he even hatched a plan to deliver the proposal he never got to give in the DR."  Says the friend, "he was thinking about getting a ring and everything."  But when Dorfman heard her "also-ran wanted to meet up she made it clear that she didn't want to see him" reports the show insider.  "She never learned he was planning to propose."  "Rebuffed for the second time, he transferred from heartbroken dumpee to bitter ex.""He really thought she was going to pick him."

thanks doc. it's still hard to believe it might have gone down like this but US is usually quite accurate. hopefully, it won't be too terrible for the F2 on monday. i think he's going to need some therapy to get over all this.
