I would be amazed if anyone who reads message boards and even sort of knows about producer manipulation would think that it was Nick's idea to go to Andi's room. And the whole key thing….ridiculous. I would venture a guess that not Josh, Chris nor Marcus would have said no to that scenario if they were asked (or told) to do it.

They have been going with this "Nick is the frontrunner" storyline from the beginning. Over in Josh's thread, someone posted the mini clips of the guys intro's and Hy's interacting with the guys. I had never seen any of those so I scrolled through, looking for Nick and noticed the title of his clip is "the front runner is established". They have definitely been hammering it into our minds that he's the frontrunner. Why? Does anyone remember when it was so blatantly presented, for someone in the f2? Not what fans of a certain person see (ie. the real love story) , but the actual edit naming someone as such?

i think comparing to des' season is helpful. RS spoiled Brooks and the show pushed brooks as F1 with des saying she was in love with him at her big sitdown with CH. i know some will contest this but i do think most people thought it was brooks. so, spoiler & edit were the same and then we got bamboozled.

with andi's season RS has spoiled josh, & has the infamous plane video, and the show is pushing nick as frontrunner. why? probably because the spoiler is right. the show doesn't want the ending known as people won't tune it nearly as much. they want surprise! surprise! surprise! to keep people guessing and tuning in. also, nick may be "the frontrunner" but he's getting a cr*ppy edit most likely because he blew it with that plane video. jmo.

what i learned from Des's season :

in the season full of foilers...they will show us the full, comprehensive, scripted in detail Wuv Story....i have 'proved' it on Des's season, and i see the same thing with this season. No one will buy the wuv story, since they buy the spoilers. In this season, TPTB even going more gung-ho with :
1. like you have never seen before foilers 2. The creepiest edit as possible for the F1. 3.The F1 is the 'elephant the room'...with obvious connection
4. Josh has already huge fan base, its safer for TPTB to showcase him as the spoiled F1 to attract more viewers. Not to mention, it serves as a good platform as he is possibly in the running for the next lead.

in the Bach series, where Fleiss could care less about the spoilers, they tend to hide the F1 since the spoilers are correct: Catherine and Nikki for example.

we may need to respectfully agree to disagree till July 28th.

I don't know why the ABC website clip refers to Nick as "the front runner is established" however I do know that all that matters is who Andi feels is her top guy. There is no audience vote or participation involved. In her first 1-1 with Nick she says "I can see the connection with Nick even if no one else can" - ITM during their dinner. I found that comment interesting in combination with her blog segments about him.

Also, the use of the word "established" is even more interesting. It has connotations of longevity, strength, endurance, and solid reputation.

As used in Law - "To settle, make, or fix firmly; place on a permanent footing; found; create; put beyond doubt or dispute; prove;convince. To enact permanently. To bring about or into existence."

i personally think this is one important nugget of this season's dedication to Eric. How Eric's tragedy may affect Andi's decision and her relationship with Nick. Actually, Nick is my favourite. I am undecided whether it's a "win", though, to be F1. It's hard to get a good read as to what Andi is really like because of her edit. l saw glimpses of a snarky humour on JPG's season and I think that's why she was friends with Nikki, Sharleen and Kelli. THAT Andi I can see with Nick and think they would mesh well.

My question was really why are they so blatantly trying to make us dislike one of the F2, albeit there is no proof he's in the F2 outside of RS. I just always thought they wanted a sympathetic F2, so you don't know who will be picked. Who wants the girl to get the jerk? My gut feeling is what are they trying to hide? Are we being distracted by the "edited" Nick that most are discounting the fact that Andi is loving what Nick is doing so when she chooses him in the end, one can go back and see that she did? The fact that in spite of his edit, and all the Tricky Nicky previews, CH and Andi talk positively about him in their blogs is what gets me thinking there's more. There usually isn't an opportunity to back the bus over someone that is missed by CH, so why haven't we seen that? If they were mad about the video, he would be getting skewered by CH.

So, maybe we don't disagree at all
