Curious, do we know Marcus' date ended early? If so, might it have been Meandi, herself who let Tptb know she wanted more time with Nick? 
It wouldn't have taken much persuasion from crew or Nick to work this out. Season of shenanigans.

IMO, in the video where he is going to Andis room, everything seems contrived, from Nick leaving the guys, his ITM, asking for the key in the front desk, it seems ALL bad acting to me, you can tell he is uncomfortable with this whole scene. Compare that with the plane video, in the plane video his demeanor is looser, it doesn't feel like he is following a script, that plane video seems completely believable to me. The sneaky Nick video does not.

In the sneak over video Nick says his heart is racing, this is the most nervous he's been since meeting Andi for the first time.  IMO that's why he seems uncomfortable.

No reason for Nick to be nervous once filming has ended.  The airplane video was recorded a couple of days after the FRC so he had some time to process what ever happened.

Someone pointed out that this season's "elephant in the room" was the rose.  
This was very obviously restated by Marcus in his first 1-1 when he literally covered the rose with his cloth napkin and referred to it as "the elephant".  He hid what was in plain sight and even told us so.

The "spoilers" this season have been so many and so huge:
- airplane vid, lots of HTD pics from inside Nick's house with camera crew, the bar Nick & Andi were to be filmed in his hometown tweeting in advance,
- RS being "told" where Marcus' HTD would be filmed so RS could lurk,
- a shot of Josh And Andi outside his parents' house

Could it be because that is what is required to cover an elephant? By that I mean an ending that is such a massive surprise that it will leave us saying "I'm blown away"?

yes to the weird Nicks' HTD pics, which conveniently zoom-in his parent's house when Andi talking with Mom and Sis with clear resolution (RS)  :shocked!:

1. Nick when he received FIR from Andi  2. Nick when he found out he got the Venice date  (the fact that i can recall this is sadz to me )

to me, this season in a nutshell : the ROSE is the elephant. where the ROSE means the same guy who receives both FIR and FR. Its been only about him (yes, including the silly drama, the ups and downs) throughout the season.  Well done Fleiss!

They have been going with this "Nick is the frontrunner" storyline from the beginning. Over in Josh's thread, someone posted the mini clips of the guys intro's and Hy's interacting with the guys. I had never seen any of those so I scrolled through, looking for Nick and noticed the title of his clip is "the front runner is established". They have definitely been hammering it into our minds that he's the frontrunner. Why? Does anyone remember when it was so blatantly presented, for someone in the f2? Not what fans of a certain person see (ie. the real love story) , but the actual edit naming someone as such?
