i happened to read one of your posts about Andi's media round compilation where you were laying out all of Andi's 'facts'  from media interview that seem pointing to Nick...could you please bring it again over here?...

Here are some of Andi's answers to a conference call she participated in after she had completed filming. I thought they may give some clues to who is the F1.

IMO based on what we've seen in episodes 1 - 4 the answers describe Nick more than Josh.

I wanted casting to pick people that I might not ordinarily meet in everyday life, or I might not ordinarily date, you know, as far as the types of guys I've dated in the past.

I'm looking for a guy that's strong and confident but he's also able to be vulnerable and to share his emotions with me.

I think communication is something I was definitely looking for in a guy coming into this.

I'm really just looking for somebody that's kind and that I get along with and somebody that kind of completes me.

I am definitely looking for intellectual chemistry. I want that physical chemistry, that mental connection.

I think traditionally, we are used to a man approaching a woman, but you know, this is a new era.  This is a day in dating, and I think the woman can step up to the guy too.  You know, it works both ways, and I think ultimately, whether or not the woman approaches the guy or the guy goes after the girl, if there is that love, if there is that connection, then it's going to work

I came here to go on this journey to find love, and if love means going somewhere else and that's the only way to do it, then I'm open to that.

I knew I wanted to show Nick this special place to watch the sunset...we had to climb through a narrow hole in a rock wall to get there.

"Once we got through that and were enjoying the sunset, that's when Nick went in for our first kiss and it was so passionate and romantic."

And why didn't they show it?!?!?!  There was perceiveable difference in their body language from when he didn't even touch her to help her on the hike -to- his arms wrapped around her and her leaning into him. I rem thinking we missed something.   :Nod:

I   watching Andi and Nick interact as a couple.  I'm glad this is the last week the men are together.  The drama is getting to be too much. Looking forward to HTD, FD, MTP, and LCD to focus more on their incredible connection.

Episode 1

When it came time to hand out my first impression rose, I had a lot of great options – Chris, JJ and Marcus to name a few – but my instinct to give it to Nick V. was definitely reaffirmed when I had some time to talk to him. I saw a lot of his personality in myself. I remember how skeptical I was that first night and I saw it in him. I wanted to give him the rose to let him know to have a little faith in me and in this process as well. I wanted him to get over some of his fears.

Episode 3

It was my first time in Santa Barbara, and we stayed at the beautiful Bacara – right on the beach. My first date was with Nick. Obviously, he had made a great impression on me the very first night, and I wanted to get to know him more. Nick had voiced his skepticism about this whole process, so I thought he would enjoy a simple and very realistic date like bike riding and hiking.  

During our picnic, I could tell Nick was nervous, but I found it endearing. While we were hiking, I knew I wanted to show Nick this special place to watch the sunset, but what you didn't get to see was that we actually had to climb through a narrow hole in a rock wall to get there. Once we got through that and were enjoying the sunset, that's when Nick went in for our first kiss and it was so passionate and romantic. Later that night, we met at the beautiful Santa Barbara courthouse for dinner.

Throughout dinner I found myself relating to Nick in so many ways. On a mental level, we were definitely connected, and for many reasons, it was an easy decision to give Nick the rose on the date.

The rose ceremony involved a lot more drama then I knew about! But there were some really sweet and romantic moments during the cocktail party too. Nick sending flowers was romantic, unexpected and yet so simple. I think it showed how realistic Nick was in this process. What I mean by that is, Nick made an effort to make this process feel more like we were dating back in Chicago. I really appreciated that, and as a woman, that's definitely how I want to be treated.

Episode 4

The Rosebuds and I had a cocktail party that evening, and I really enjoyed my time with them. Nick and I had great chemistry that night and was a perfect follow up to our one-on-one date.

Just like in Santa Barbara, I felt like Nick and I continued to have this intense mental and physical connection. The kisses were amazing and he definitely knows how to make me feel like a woman, and I loved how passionate he was.

Episode 5

Nevertheless, the guys were great sports as usual – except Nick. I know Nick and I had a great connection from our date in Santa Barbara, and I know it’s hard to adjust back to group dates, but I remember really not liking Nick’s standoffish behavior. Little did I know that that would follow through the evening as well.

As soon as I walked back into the cocktail party I could feel that something was off with the guys. I started talking to then individually and I got the sense that there was some tension between the guys and Nick – specifically that Nick had suggested to some effect that he was the "frontrunner." Obviously I don’t like this term, because it made me feel like this was a competition and that I’m a prize, and like Olivia Pope has said, "I am not a prize at the state fair. You cannot win me!" Needless to say, I was not happy at the turn of events that night.

Episode 6

I had a tough decision to make for the first one-on-one date. I knew Cody was the only guy who hadn't had a one-on-one date yet, but after last week's confusing group date, I knew I had some things I needed to talk to Nick about. Plus, I knew I had a perfect date that fit Cody's personality coming up later that week. So, I made what was probably an unpopular decision – to bring Nick on that first date. I just held onto hope that Cody would have faith and understand.

My date with Nick started off with a walk around Venice and a beautiful gondola ride. We were swarmed by pigeons in Piazza San Marco and had the best gelato I've ever tasted. I remember thinking how natural it felt between Nick and me that day. It really just felt like we were boyfriend and girlfriend in this amazingly beautiful city. Seeing the city by gondola made the whole day so much more romantic. Nick brought the passion and made me feel so special. My favorite kiss of the day was when we were floating underneath the famous Bridge of Sighs. According to local legend, if you kiss under the Bridge of Sighs, you're supposed to have eternal love. I had always felt a mental and physical connection with Nick and today was no different. This was the Nick that I have loved getting to know.

Later that night, Nick and I got all dressed up for a special dinner in a stunning masquerade hall. I'll never forget riding up on a gondola and seeing Nick standing there in his Italian tuxedo – He looked so handsome! He joked that night that he felt like he was James Bond!

I had my concerns with Nick from the previous week because he seemed to not be getting along with some of the guys, which was a major turnoff. Nick actually owned up to his part of the drama. He explained that he's confident, not arrogant, in the relationship that we had been building and that's probably what had rubbed the other guys the wrong way. I liked that Nick was honest about the situation and I decided to trust him knowing that there was bound to be drama, but it was definitely something I knew I had to keep my eye on.

As if the night couldn't have gone any better, Nick got all nervous and started mumbling his words and I knew something big was coming. When he finally found his courage, he told me that he was falling in love. I was so happy that Nick was allowing himself to have those feelings for me – especially considering how skeptical he had been in the beginning of this journey. At the end of the night, I felt that although taking Nick for the first date was unconventional, I felt so much better about where he and I stood with each other and was so happy to kick off the week with such an unbelievable date!

Nick stealing me first was a bold move to make. I really loved seeing him take the initiative and I wished all the guys could step up like that.

Just reread Andi's blog and was struck by her description of deciding to take Nick out in Venice - So, I made what was probably an unpopular decision – to bring Nick on that first date... and I thought that Andi's decision to take care of herself regardless of whether it was popular mirrors Nick's decisions to take care of himself regardless of whether it is popular.... Peas in a pod I tell you! :-)

I loved talking to Josh M. I could not believe he was from Atlanta, too. It was just so crazy to meet someone all the way on the other side of the country. I don't know what it was about Josh M. but I immediately called him out for not being as shy as he claimed. He's obviously handsome and has a great smile, but there was something there I needed to figure out.

The cocktail party was great. I loved my first kiss with Josh. He was so nervous, and I found it so adorable! I like a man who just goes in for the kiss, and in front of the mansion, dancing, that was the perfect moment. So romantic!

I decided to give the group date rose to Josh because I felt like he really made an effort to tell me how he felt about me during our one-on-one time and I wanted to encourage him to continue to open up.

My first one-on-one date in Marseille was with Josh. It was a date that I was looking forward to because our physical chemistry had always been strong, but I needed to see if there was more to it. I’m not gonna lie, I was extremely nervous going into this date because I always had my guard up with Josh. I didn’t quite know why I got so nervous around him, but I was hoping to conquer those nerves on this date.


After we left the hotel, Josh and I shopped for picnic supplies where I attempted to use my terrible French. We bought sandwiches and a liquor that Marseille is known for, pastis. It tasted like licorice and I bought an extra one to bring home to my mom. We sailed along the Mediterranean coast to the southernmost tip of Marseille, called the Calanques. The Calanques are these beautiful rock formations, and it was the most beautiful place to have a picnic and, most important of all, to talk. On our picnic, I learned about Josh's past, especially about his baseball career.

I decided to get all dressed up and have dinner with Josh at a magnificent palace. It was incredible to say the least. I enjoyed the fact that both Josh and I were willing to open up about our past relationships, especially when it came to our insecurities regarding faithfulness. I think it was something that Josh and I bonded over.

I remember taking a deep breath and telling Josh that for the first time, I felt like I was letting my guard down with him and was allowing myself to enjoy our great connection. I gave the rose to Josh because not only was the physical connection there, but we were getting to know each other on a whole new level. I had one last surprise for Josh – you guessed it – a private concert. We ended the night by dancing to Ben Fields, which was incredibly romantic. From start to finish, the date was perfect and one I would never forget.

The nighttime portion of the date was really going great, until I talked to Josh. Uh oh! He clearly was not happy about the test.

There's a big part of me that understood why he didn't like the lie detector test but it wasn't as if I had even read his results. I wanted it to be fun, but it clearly frustrated Josh, which in turn frustrated me because I had just come off a great date with him in Marseille. I really wanted to pick up where we left off, but clearly we were both frustrated that night. I will say that there were still some good parts of the conversation that you didn't get to see, but I still walked away from my conversation with Josh feeling defeated and confused.

That night [Cocktail Party] with Josh, we both had a lot to talk about after the group date. Hearing Josh talk about how he didn't feel great about our last conversation made me feel like we were both on the same page again. I remember feeling better after talking with him.
