Bachelorette 10: Edit-Storyline - *SPOILERS* - should we bother? Oooohhhh... why not?

You know, JBF, I'm a little worried that if Chris is, indeed, the invisible F1, then all we're going to see in the ATFR show are the Santa Anita date highlights from their journey. This could be a serious - YAAAWN! - problem for me.  

ETA: I was concerned I was being too harsh so I asked people in my family to watch the date. I captured their reactions...

 Litta, too funny and this has been me the whole season though. I can't get into this season at all and I'm not sure if it is the lead or the guys. Even my dear JBF's analysis can't even draw me in this season. I'm still going to keep watching though.

See, we have to remember that the producers decide what we do see or not see, so anything is possible at this point. Wouldn't that be a shocker if JJ is F1? just saying, this  edit is very crazy.


JJ as F1 would be the best shocker ever!

If he is, he's apparently not the most sentimental guy.  He just tweeted that he was cleaning up and found his date card amidst a bunch of other stuff.  Certainly doesn't seem to be regarding it as one of his treasures to cherish for all eternity!

And now the relationship is over.  Too bad, I like him too much to see him with Andi anyway!  Maybe this is our real shocker, Andi picks JJ, post filming they have broken up and she is now in love with Chris Harrison!

And what is it that makes Andi such an evil person? Sure she is spoiled, but that doesn't make her the worst person. Doesn't she deserve a great guy like Josh, Marcus or Chris if she sees them as the one for her. I have seen worse people meet someone who complete and gets them. So, let's give the girl a chance for love.JMO

I don't think I have ever called Andi evil. I would go with self centered and not interested in really learning from other people.  Plus, this part was a joke, I don't think there is any chance that Andi picks JJ, do you?

You are fine Stuck! I really enjoy your comments. My response on Andi being evil is a general comment, not addressed to you specifically. But, I noticed that many seem to really dislike her, and to me it seems unfair because everyone of us have a flaw of some kind. also, I am old, so I prefer "O" before "P". I almost tend to root for the underdog.

As far as JJ', I was kidding and I know you were too, we know that 's not gona happen when she 's already has 3 or 4 contenders that she has eyes on.JMO

And for a different perspective:

I'm bummed as it's pretty clear Chris can't be next Bachelor given his invisibility. I suspect the Eric tragedy changed their whole editing focus.

But talk about boring?  Andi and Josh are the sublime pinnacle of boring to me. So predicatable.  Blech.  I was so excited when she was chosen as Bette, a whip smart highly educated woman... and now it seems she can't look beyond her little hometown sphere and her "Daddy knows best" easy choice. Please surprise us, Andi!

  Oh Litta, you made my day! This is exactly how I felt on their one on one date. How can such a gorgeous looking guy come off so boring? It can't be him nor her, so, it 's both together, beautiful together, but, really boring couple.

Four possible reasons why:

4.) The editors feel they showed more than enough on their b-o-r-i-n-g "friend zone" Santa Anita date (which Litta here claims to have slept through while gathering screencaps)

I dunno... I tried to make comparisons to past 'ette seasons. Not much of  a match, I guess. Didn't include Emily here.:

    To the bolded.  He's becoming more visible - saw a far amount of Chris shots at the cocktail party plus an ITM.  At the party Chris was almost always with Dylan (picking up steam date card).  In fact, Dylan wearing rose had his arm behind Chris' ,on the couch, most of the time - bromance  
I also noticed that at the rose ceremony there was a shot of her picking up the final rose then a shot of the guys standing in their line up. If someone could SC them.  It looks like none of them have roses yet.  If that's true, it means she chose her final guy in epi 4 and what follows is all smokescreen.

This is why they had to show the cocktail party and rose ceremony. It was pivotal.

Everybody here is teasing. Those who can't see "IT" now may later... if "IT" is definitely there. (I think "IT" is, but don't go my me since I am easily fooled.) Same situation a year ago when the other Chris was labeled "boring" and his poems were a constant source of ridicule.

Also we are coming off a season when the F2 was "let's not kiss"-ing with the lead in Panama while his F1 simply got to see his kid first, but otherwise was EDITED as just another "I'm not here to make friends" contestant. (Like the male Nick this season.) There really wasn't much of a "story" with F1 but there was one, loaded with "obstacles", for F2.

This brings me to that ol' assumption that every F1 must have an "obstacle" to overcome. It isn't written in stone. However one obstacle every F1 must face is "All Of America" staying focused on the F2, F3 or Bentley and feeling, at least until there's a happily-ever-after marriage on TV, that the F1 is a "default" the lead only chose on account of "the one that got away". Many here still think Des would have chosen Brooks today had he not left and it is pointless to argue over it. We weren't there and we don't know Desiree personally to know if her dry crocodile tears in Antigua were a result of the extreme humidity or acting.

Josh and Nick are both highly entertaining to me when by themselves, less interesting WITH her. I mean... in-your-face kissing and I've-never-felt-like-this-with-anyone-before talk only sustains my interest so far. Technically Josh doesn't belong here; he needs his own show since he clearly has "star power" as a comedian. Intriguingly, Nick was shown in an unfavorable light with the deceased star, Eric... interrupting (if "indirectly") his sitdown with his flower-invasion and later simply "comforting" her without any real interest in what actually happened between her and Eric.

(Regarding Eric: I still think much of their argument was a set-up: to get her to confess on screen, lawyer fashion, that she doesn't like looking in guys' faces when eliminating them... and making sure the guys all have the option to leave if they don't think she is "real" enough for them. In other words: Don't complain to me for "leading you on" this season. I gave you the option to leave. That includes you, Nick.)

After their first date I was really looking forward to watching Chris this season and then ... nothing. But they still have 3 eps before hometowns to up his presence. I really hope the tides turn this week and we start getting more Chris and that he's still in there for Bachelor, but I am starting to doubt it. But Andi didn't get a lot of screen time last year until the second half of the season, Ben F, Juan Pablo are other examples I can think of. So it's not the kiss of death for being the Bachelor, but does give me pause how they are not at all trying to highlight him to viewers right now.

And I for one loved his date with Andi - I don't see what JBF does and think there's no way he's her pick. No real chemistry of attraction there from Andi. But I loved Chris and what he had to say and his manner. And I love that he seems mature and separate from the silly boy drama and macho attitudes that seem to keep coming up.

Again, if he truly is a mole, one of his picks for Andi was Eric. I say this because of the fields shown while Andi & Eric were driving to the beach.
Aside from that , I believe Eric & Chris did become close. Chris would only choose men he personally admires.
