Bachelorette 10: Edit-Storyline - *SPOILERS* - should we bother? Oooohhhh... why not?

Hmmm... hard call. They look the same to me. Yet I am open to it being anybody she is blushing for. Heck, half the guys in that episode looked like production provide them with matching suits.

Also, she could be "blushing" as frequently as she tells guys to "stop it"... LOL!

I've been thinking about the "why" of Chris being so hidden. Even F4 dumpees get more screen time than he does.

One reason...

Obviously "something" is going on between him and Andi regardless of the outcome. Otherwise, their scenes would simply be shown like all of the others. We have even seen her with Tasos more times than Chris.

Another reason...

The editors are saving him for later.

Two key scenes in episode #3, one of two episodes with NO footage of Chris WITH Andi.
1.) Although Josh commented on Ron leaving for his dead friend, it was Chris who was talking the most and voicing the most concern.
2.) Dylan had no sitdown with Andi before his solo date. Instead his sitdown was with Chris. It was with Chris that we first learned his backstory, one Mister Harrison considers very important to this season (i.e. Dylan is "one to watch" on his list).

Conclusion: Chris is the guy who is there to deal with "tragedy".

Next up...

Andi has a nasty argument with Eric before he leaves and goes ballistic with the other guys. Their final words were not good ones and he even tells her that he will be thinking about them after he leaves.

One huge criticism I was reading over on the motherboard (abc.com) was that, during the interview with Harrison, she seemed too calm discussing Eric. It was read as "indifference". Yet I don't think she was as calm back at the post-hometown rose ceremony when she first learned about it. My guess is that she literally collapses... and spirals into a lot of guilt and remorse.

Although any of the remaining guys can be there to put-Andi-back-together, the way the EDIT is progressing is this...

1.) Marcus is a possible candidate since he got over a fear with her when climbing down a building. Yet it seems that his role is more about getting Andi over her fear of commitment than dealing with tragedy.

2.) Josh has shown his sensitive side on screen. Examples: "She should not be crying now" and the promo line "She's hurting right now. She's emotionally spent". We still have to see, however, if he is getting her through her struggles in upcoming episodes. Already Chris put her "back on track" after Craig disrupting the previous date.

3.) Maybe we will see a side like this with Nick later? Nothing in the edit fits yet... but I will be open to the possibility.

As it stands, Chris is the one most fitting the post-Eric situation. Maybe this just gets him the Bachelor role instead of HER? That is something everybody can debate.

Marcus entire storyline is overcoming fear. Not sure if that has anything to do with Andi but thats his journey.

There really wasn't a story with Drew. So, there doesn't need to be a story for Chris. All they need is that 'secret admirer' thing going, him being dumped and sympathy at the MTA to get the support for him to be the next Bachelor.

JBF, are you saying that the men in F4 are getting a "story" setup just in case they are picked for "the Bachelor"?

^^^Interesting theory regarding Chris, JBF. I still think he is way too absent from the screen to be F1.

Anyway, I have no idea where to post this question so I'll do it here. It's really bothering me why Andi would have a meltdown in Italy. What could possibly have happened to get her this upset? Her sending Cody home should hardly create that reaction. It's the episode that they do the lie detector test, but really...what could they have found out? Did Josh or Marcus lie about not having a relationship for that last 5/3 years respectively? Was she upset, sensing Nick was pulling back and still questioning the process. I don't recall his exact words from the preview from episode one, but it struck me that he was still being cautious (it's his comments when he wears the tux).

I'm just perplexed and wonder if this is a turning point for Andi. She might have been tempted to pick Nick, but this episode is what pulls her back to what's familiar. I don't mean that as a slam against Josh...or am I implying that he is a default pick. It's just that I wonder if Andi was leaning towards giving up control, going against the comfortable, but then gets spooked/hurt.

Perhaps this has already been discussed elsewhere, but this is really bugging me. Could this be why we have so few caps of the final dates? Does something weird go down? I'd love to hear anyone's theory on what's going on.

I think her sobbing in Italy has to do with eliminating somebody high on her pecking order.

No. But so many are convinced here that Chris is the next Bachelor. Figured I would throw in the possibility.

I am NOT going to try to convince the masses here that Chris is F1. Simply provide suggestions why I think he MAY be and let everybody simply laugh at me and go about their business as usual.

Actually, we do have ONE previous male F1 matching Marcus. Although Ed had a skyline date, I won't count him. Yet Roberto had that... and helped Ali overcome her fears performing in The Lion King... and feeding hungry skates.

Someone brought up that Andi doesn't look at the lie detector results so it isn't that.

I cannot see Chris as F1 at this point. I think he will start getting more screen time from ep 5 and beyond but I just don't see it happening. I really can't see anyone other that Josh or Nick being F1 IMO. I agree with Nd about the video, real or not, pointing to these two either way.

Before the season I was so disappointed at the thought of Chris being the next bachelor. Seeing what little we have, I like him much more on screen. I like the quiet confident guys. I thought I would like Josh before the season started an now he is my least favorite after seeing his personality. It's weird how our judgments change once we see them on screen. I would love to see Nick or Marcus as the next lead.. But I agree with others that neither fit the bill. I still feel Chris will get the job, if he wants it.

My guess with the Italy thing is she finds about that guy who got some girls phone number thing.  She seems to go nuts every time a guy isn't that into her. Trying to make sense of Andi's reaction is a head scratcher for me.
