Apology in advance if this has been discussed…
Brussels group date is Montaigle Castle ruins, an hour south of Brussels. If this is after Venice, it's right before HTDs, so there should only be 5 (or 6 max) guys there at all. Looks like Dylan gets SQT, because he's wearing the same hoodie in the pics of them alone. My thoughts on the castle ruin photo: Josh, Marcus, Dylan, and… Chris or Nick, outside shot Brian. That means that Andrew, Patrick, Marquel, JJ and Cody all leave between Marseilles and Venice? That's a lot of man-tears.

I finally had a chance to go back, re-watch the episode and gather some of my thoughts re: Episode 3 and 4
When the night started and thee camera showed the guys, I’ve started softening on my thoughts of them. Don’t know if it is the way they dress them on the first night but especially for Andi’s season, I was only attracted to a couple of the guys. However, I was saddened when I thought to myself-- who is the guy in the blue shirt….oh that is Eric. I feel so bad for his parents. It must by so bittersweet for them to watch this season.
:hidingchair I’m sorry, I know this isn’t a popular statement but I’m not digging Nick— for some reason, on the surface, he seems like a very sweet guy but, I get a vibe that he is “putting” on a little. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but that is how I feel, at least right now. However, I DID like their date. I think it was the kind of activity that Andi would definitely do in real life. During the dinner portion all I could think of was what’s up with the popped collar?!? Andi seemed to be into him though—she was definitely ok with his kisses.
Group date: The opera guy definitely gets on my nerves! At least Sharlene was classy and was humble (shy) about her singing. This guy is just a show off. And by the way…I didn’t really think he did all that good. I would think that a professional singer wouldn’t show nerves and more than once I could hear him go pitchy. Loved Josh making fun of Bradley! While Andi was telling them that they were going to be singing—he was back in the corner practicing! How full of it is he?!?! And how painful was it for B2M hearing their song butchered!
Not sure who I read that made the comment that TPTB are trying to do a SHA: Jeremiah with Chris. I can totally see them trying this but when will they learn just because someone is from the same place or has the same “job” as someone else it doesn’t mean they are a perfect substitute for that person! I don’t know that I see Chris having the personality to be the next bachelor. I’m only speculating on the vibe I’ve gotten from others—not sure if he’s really being considered or not; it feels to me that is what TPTB are trying to do. I felt Dylan’s confiding with Chris and “practicing” his back story was done to give Chris more screen time and show him in a supportive light having nothing to do with his journey with Andi.
The cocktail party: I can’t believe TPTB had the timing of the flower delivery be during the cocktail party—she should have waiting to read the letter. I was glad that she took them outside to talk with Nick instead of leaving them in the house. Even if I don’t understand it, it seems like she really likes Nick. She pulled him in for kisses and seemed very comfortable.
I’m not sure why JJ felt he needed to get something off his chest—with JOSH?!? I really hate that Josh is right in the middle of this. I guess it kind of takes some of the pressure off of Josh since Nick jumps in it too. Andrew is definitely being kept in by TPTB….not a surprise for me.
I wish TPTB would have shown a little of the build up with Andi’s 1:1 time with Marcus. In fact, as backlit as the scene was, I thought she was still on her 1:1 time with Nick until the camera panned to his ITM. I thought it was sweet for him to give Andi a note for “later”. I’ve read a lot of posters saying something about it being too early for Marcus to say ILY—I didn’t read the situation this way. I heard him say that he believed in love at first sight and he could see himself moving toward love. As fast paced as this show is, I would want a guy to at least be able to see that love is a possibility at this time in the process.
Not a surprise at all that Bradley and Brett (I don’t even remember seeing any time on screen with him!!) went home.

On the evening portion: I don’t know how I felt about Andi’s “joke” on Cody. Also, all Eric was asking for was a little confirmation—if they had such a great time on their 1:1, she should have given him a wink or something to let him know that she was happy to see him or something! I understand what he was asking for. I thought her 1:1 time with Marcus was very sweet. It seems like she does a lot of cuddling with Josh. She pulls him in a lot and it seems as though they connect a little differently than some of the others.
The date with JJ, UGH!! Why on earth would they have this be a date and why did they have to have names; Judith and Herb-- those voices, really?!?! And did anyone notice the way she had her legs when she was riding on the carousel? (Straight down, like she was standing with a horse between her legs; not in the stirrups!) Everything about the first part of the date was very strange! I was hopeful that the dinner portion was going to be normal and then all of the talk was about how quirky and not normal JJ is. It was so over the top that it makes me wonder if TPTB had decided that JJ would be the “quirky” one of this season.
Ron’s departure seemed very strange and abrupt. I wonder if they would have edited it differently if Eric hadn’t passed away. It seems like death is very prominent this season.

Episode 4:
Dylan—glad he got a date but, in my opinion MOT, he just has too much baggage weighing him down and not letting him have a good time. I hate that TPTB are so manipulative: having him have the date in an area that has emotional memories for him, having him recalling family tragedies, long contemplative looks out the window, etc…I wonder if Andi was starting to feel the manipulations from TPTB especially when she said she wondered if this was the best time to give him this date; might help her understand the position that Juan Pablo was in just a little. Also, a good friend should help him work with that hair!! It’s not even the length that I mind; it is more the amount of product that he uses that makes it appear greasy and heavy…yuck! He’s an attractive guy-- if he’d only do something with his hair and be happy!
Basketball: Why on earth did the Rosebuds have “professional” shirts when the 5 of Hearts had to draw their names and numbers on with an old dried out Sharpie?!?! I mean really, that’s what they had to cut from the budget?
I agree with Eric re: the “formality” of the 1:1’s but I think that as Andi pointed out, it is more that “they” don’t click. Look at how she is with Nick, Josh and Marcus—they are all able to be less formal in their 1:1’s. I think that Eric is used to not having to work too hard to get girls to like him. I think this is one of the challenges he had being on the show.
Special time for Brian and Nick—they definitely had different vibes and came out the winners of the group date. Nick’s special time especially; I can see Andi putting in the time and effort in their relationship.
Marcus’ date: First off—that WIND; no WAY I could have done that!!! What a great guy! He focused totally on Andi and ignored his own fear to help support her. Getting Andi to talk about her mom was hysterical! Funny that Marcus was nervous about the fact that they might have seen them kiss! On the dinner portion of their date, I felt it was very natural and casual. I see that Andi likes the way that their relationship is developing. He even made it look like Andi was a good dancer!! (Sorry, OT-- I’ve got to point out the dress Andi has on in her ITM—with huge red pinafore ruffles?!? It looks like my Jr. high band uniform -only it was blue with the white ruffle; I now see that it is a top with just the ruffle on the sleeve.)
Andi gets a 3rd love note! Ok—Nick has written Andi a note that was delivered with her flowers, Marcus gave her a note to read “later” and now a Secret Admirer writes a note. My guess is that it is either Josh (based on his reaction when she mentioned the note) or possibly Brian (he was bad at reading her signals maybe this is his way to share how he feels in a way that is a little less scary).
I felt very bad for Eric and now his parents having to watch his argument with Andi. I think the point he was trying to make was that everyone in this situation tends to hold back a little for the camera and he was trying to express that she did too. One thing that he was spot on about—she does have a poker face—if you cover her mouth you would never know if she was happy or sad. Her eyes and her forehead don’t show expression! She definitely did not like being called a TV actress! I see he was trying to get it back once she started getting upset—I felt really bad for both of them.
I felt the sit down with Chris and Andi fell a little flat…. I think a montage of clips or outtakes would have been a better way to highlight his time and would have ended it on a better note. What a sad ending for him!

My first thoughts on the season - when all is said and done, I think it'll come down to Josh, Marcus, and Nick (put in no particular order).
She seems to have both the mental and physical (her words, not mine) connection with Nick. In the very beginning, he seemed skeptical but that seems to have turned around now. He's def not my type but she's very obviously into him.
That said, her chemistry with both Josh & Marcus is off the charts. At this point, though, she's much more skeptical of Josh and whether he is there for her or to 'win' (words she spoke to her basketball team while watching the men play). This, obviously, is his conflict to overcome. Is he, as he says, really more than just a dumb jock (my words) or will he be the guy Andi seems to have dated in the past, which will keep her away.
Now Marcus...he could be the guy who is falling too hard too fast. But the question is - does she mind or does she like it? My impression so far is that she loves his note(s) (I'm guessing he's her secret admirer) and that he told her he was falling in love with her. We'll have to wait and see if she pulls back or keeps him close.
So at this point, IMO, Nick = perfect on paper but does she completely feel 'it' with him; Marcus = has great chemistry with Andi and has fallen hard and fast. Does she like and appreciate this or is it a turn off; and Josh = also has great chemistry with Andi and says he has likes her a lot and wants to see her and kiss her everyday but do we (or more importantly Andi) believe him??
As for the other guys - Dylan reminds me of a Baldwin and my heart broke to hear he lost two siblings to drug use. JJ is quirky and fun and I absolutely adore him. I think Pantsapreneur is so much cooler than insurance rep or account rep or all the other boring, fake job descriptions TPTB usually come up with. Marquel - hot, funny, and he loves cookies - what's not to love!! Patrick - def a hottie but we know nothing about him; Cody is the FF (funny friend) guy; Brian is the cool teacher who will have the women lined up; Chris is the cute, down-home, guy (great for some but boring to me); and Andrew - blech - a little too high of an opinion of himself. I really liked Tasos and, Eric, boy, what a life he lived while he was here. I'm just sorry with how he left. I can see Andi beating herself up about that...

RS has sprouted new wings like he has never before in any season. For real. Obviously that comes with a whole bunch of questioning from those who don't buy what he is selling.
And then we have some posters wondering why those findings are not taken as gospel truth and are being questioned. LOL its a regular war zone but I have to add very respectfully done.
The mods are really great. Kudos guys.
Yup the fan threads are meant for out and out fangirling but the other threads are all there to question everything else for those who so wish to. Great stuff.

Let me just say this, if you like peace and positive, don't go there. I had to move to the fans thread, what a relief that was. Actually, I noticed many of us moved to the fans thread, a much more peaceful city, we couldn't take that heat.

Thanks ND for the lessons! Wth all the threads available, it is really good to know the boundaries, so I know where to spend my quality time. So far, I love the Fan threads, the non spoiled, and the story line. JBF is hilarious.

We'll have to wait and see if she pulls back or keeps him close.
So at this point, IMO, Nick = perfect on paper but does she completely feel 'it' with him; Marcus = has great chemistry with Andi and has fallen hard and fast. Does she like and appreciate this or is it a turn off; and Josh = also has great chemistry with Andi and says he has likes her a lot and wants to see her and kiss her everyday but do we (or more importantly Andi) believe him??
As for the other guys - Dylan reminds me of a Baldwin and my heart broke to hear he lost two siblings to drug use. JJ is quirky and fun and I absolutely adore him. I think Pantsapreneur is so much cooler than insurance rep or account rep or all the other boring, fake job descriptions TPTB usually come up with. Marquel - hot, funny, and he loves cookies - what's not to love!! Patrick - def a hottie but we know nothing about him; Cody is the FF (funny friend) guy; Brian is the cool teacher who will have the women lined up; Chris is the cute, down-home, guy (great for some but boring to me); and Andrew - blech - a little too high of an opinion of himself. I really liked Tasos and, Eric, boy, what a life he lived while he was here. I'm just sorry with how he left. I can see Andi beating herself up about that...
