Not sure that Chris can meet up to Sean level, but I am hoping he will be great. I too see similarities to Sean, but no one ever exactly the same.

No one is ever the same, true, but if he can be respectful of the women, be self-deprecating, and be sincere he'll go far into the hearts of the viewers.

Oh i have no doubt that the decisions were made much earlier than was let on. Sean takes about it in his book.
I see the similarities between the two definitely. I hope this season and the future is as good to Chris as it was to Sean.

I agree it will be tough to get to the Sean level and truthfully, I don't really see that happening simply because of the fact that while these two guys are very similar...sincere about the process, gentlemanly, low key...they are also very different. Sean seems to be much more outgoing, more media savvy and more goofy. He was also still searching for his niche in the business sense while doing the show. Chris, while also having a good sense of humour, seems to have a more dry, wry sense of humour. Overall, he is already a serious and apparently very successful businessman, who is not nearly as good at the media stuff. While certainly charming, he just does not appear as outgoing as Sean. I suspect it will be more difficult for him to sell himself, not only because of his own personality, but also because of his greater (pre existing) business commitments. I'm sure he will do the obligatory press that is required, but I doubt he would have the time to do the level of promotion that Sean did. Either way, I think Chris could still have a very successful season...ratings wise and on a more personal level. We'll just have to wait and watch to see if he and his "winner" can make it for the long term and make it up the isle like the Lowe's did.

Is Chris the wealthiest Bachelor they've had in years?

I am always curious to see how wide the other Chris's grin will be... Mister Harrison, that is. Soules said in that one interview (posted on the other thread) that he and Harrison were the best of buds on the show. That is a good sign. At least it will take a lot more than the usual for the Fleiss-mobile to run over him like some past leads.
Haha this is funny. Nothing will stop Mikey from "running" over anybody if he wants to.
We can hope though and I am looking forward to watching Chris. Hope it works out for him.

On paper I have no doubt that he is. I don't know his net worth, but most farmers are land rich but actual cash flow is another issue. His sisters referred to other business activity so he may be wealthy it's really hard to say. The fact that he indicated to Andi that she could be a housewife indicates that the family has enough cash flow that a second income is not needed. If Whitney is his chosen and she wants babies right away, that could be a really good fit.

His farm is valued at quite a bit. So what does that mean? Are there loans against it? Is it strictly in his family's name? There are a lot of variables involved as well as with past bachelors financial worth. Personally, my feeling is Chris S is using his 15 mins of fame to put his name out there---potential public/political interest? If he ends up finding real love, good for him.
No good deed goes unpunished.

It appears so. I know Firestone was touted because of the family, but I'm not sure how much money he had personally. Same with the prince. Brad and Aaron were both promoted as successful business men. Charlie while not promoted as such, had some real estate holdings with his brother, but again, not sure just how much. Chris is being promoted that way, but again...how much is his and how much is the family land holdings?

My brother works in agriculture and did live in Iowa for a few years. He had passing interaction with Chris and his business. From what I gather, the family is well off in terms of the amount of land they own and how much profit they make from crops. Not to much I think it was discovered Chris also did some other work outside the family farm that could be very profitable to him. As someone who has many family members who are farmers, Chris ain't hurting for money at all.

Possibly, but there is a difference between being iowa rich and malibu beach house rich. His future wife ain't gonna be getting that great a deal as TPTB are trying to make it seem.

As an Iowa born Illinois resident, I have to take a little offense to the concept that "Iowa rich" is somehow inferior to California rich. (this isn't meant as a personal attack against Sara11--please don't take it as such) However, being wealthy in Iowa means that your money goes further. Chris's house, although not lavish, is comfortable from what we saw. He drives a pick-up truck not a Benz, but his tractor cost 3/4 of a million dollars. What being rich in Iowa means is that you have the ability to travel, drink fine wine (which his family seemed to like) purchase nice clothes and potentially retire young- if you want to . You are not living in a multi-million dollar house, paying taxes that are more than the average house payment, but you are comfortable, happy, and able to enjoy elements of the "good life." I could spend all day defending Iowa and the midwest but I won't likely convince those that don't like it or have never been here and assume that it is nothing here other than cornfields and pigs. So I step off my soapbox and move on to watching and hopefully loving the new season featuring the good ol' boy from Iowa.
