Juan got his early enough, but I can't recall the exact time. SeanCat's wedding got plenty of Juan promo material, but that was still January.

Likewise, Sean got his first extended promo during Ashley and JP's wedding show in December. Yet you have to  question if he would have one that early if there was no Fleiss show airing at that time. Some seasons, we simply don't get one before episode 1... like Ashley's.

I recall Ben Flajnik's season getting one aired on TV and posted online in December. There was a lot of emphasis on Courtney's skinnydip with him (only we weren't sure it was her at the time) and Ben's voice-overing that he "doesn't know what to do now" as Courtney laughs holding her rose. Maybe this was because there is a lot of drama and limited satisfaction with the end-result, so they start promoting early with plenty of gusto in order to draw in the Big Brother/prime time drama crowd who were less concerned with "happy endings" than "catfights" on screen. 

Every season is different... and we can never figure out why. This includes the Bachelorettes, which complete filming in early May and start airing within two or three weeks. Most amusing was Desie's season with her extended music-video (!?) online by the end of April (before fantasy dates were even finished and nothing beyond the Barcelona dates were featured). Roughly half of the footage was dedicated to her romancing Brooks ("Brooks, will you accept my rose?" "Definitely" Smile! Smile! Kiss! Kiss!). THAT was ssssooooo hilarious... and, yeah, "me still thinks" Mister Fleiss, Chris Harrison (who, when responding in an interview as to who "wins" Desie, jokes "I do"), Desie, Prince Siegfried and even Brooks were all out to bamboozle the masses (most importantly, Yee Spoiler King). Now... why would I think such silly thoughts like that?

I dunno what they are up to this season.

I know I am probably in the minority, but I'm getting excited for the premiere on Monday. I feel like it has been forever since The Bachelor/ette was on TV.

You're not the only one, I'm excited for this season! I know I've had so much going on the last month that I haven't had time to poke around on here much, but I'm still ready for this season to start! With JP season being such a turn off to viewers, I have a feeling TP are going to make sure this season is success all the way around. Hopefully those that aren't very happy that Chris is the Bachelor will be pleasantly surprised. I'm hoping anyway!

I am also looking forward to this season. I enjoy the interaction between all the people involved. A love story is great too. I will be watching.

Poor Chris just suffers from the "less popular than the other guys" syndrome. During Andi's season, the Josh and Nick threads on this forum were where all of the action was (especially after how things went down at ATFR). Marcus was always the Stud Muffin that posters like looking at. Then Fleiss & Co. dangled another fan-favorite Arie as a possibility for the next lead to drive this forum wild during the months of August and September.

Chris was always "just the farmer dude". Some of us hung out on his thread during Andi's season simply because it was so... peaceful. (Also the way they edited him on the Bachelorette was ssssoooo bizarre.)

All he needs to do is simply stand there, talk and cry on cue. The ladies can handle the rest.

Ha ha! I hope somebody remembers to screencap his rose bowl parade appearance here. Isn't he on today?

I am always curious to see how wide the other Chris's grin will be... Mister Harrison, that is. Soules said in that one interview (posted on the other thread) that he and Harrison were the best of buds on the show. That is a good sign. At least it will take a lot more than the usual for the Fleiss-mobile to run over him like some past leads.

I seem to remember another season when someone was "less popular that the other guys" and went on to get his own very successful season, found his girl, got his wedding and became the most loved Bachelor of the lot.

Let's give the guy a chance and see how things go....

Oh umngirl, you should have chimed in on Chris' thread earlier this summer when a few of us were comparing Sean's Men Tell All "hot seat" interview with MISTER Harrison (during Emily's season) with Chris Soules' this season. There were sssssoooo many startling similarities... LOL! ("Me thinks" that Mickey Fleissmeister made up his mind early both seasons but was fooling us into thinking he hadn't.)
