I am curious what she will do long term, I don't see her going back to being an ADA, so I will be interested to see if she is back to some kind of law come January.
I do think she and Josh are a good match and she definitely chose the right guy for her.
Very recently, didn't Josh and Andi make a statement that they had some big announcement coming out within a couple of weeks? I don't follow them closely, so I don't know exactly how it was worded. I think maybe once that announcement comes out, we may have a better idea of what path their futures might take.

Yes. There's been some debate over what it might be but as best I recall, Josh's statement was in response to a question about a wedding news so it may be something similar to what Sean & Catherine did at their AFR where their "big announcement" was that they were going to have a televised wedding, but no date was mentioned then. In fact the date wasn't mentioned until much later - a month or so before the actual wedding.
I suspect this may be similar if it's about a wedding - maybe just that it will be televised but no date given yet. If any couple does agree to a televised wedding the date and any announcement of the date will all be dictated by the network more so than by the couple.
I think all we can really tell about their futures is that neither is doing DWTS though it's possible the network wanted Andi (she was on a list of people the DWTS producers supposedly wanted). They have both stated rather consistently they will remain in Atlanta and I believe Josh has gone back to his job. I doubt Andi will go back to her old job and I actually don't think she should. She was in the group prosecuting gang crime and there are some very evil people in gangs; there has to be a safer area of law that she could be involved in than what she was doing.

I agree that Andi shouldn't go back to her job. While it is a really necessary job, she may in fact be too high profile for the job now, since it is so dangerous. I am just curious what her career will be whether it is law or if she and Josh decide for her to stay home and take care of the family and be a mom.

I have no idea what their announcement is. If it's wedding related, it would have to be sanctioned by TPTB unless they aren't going for the free t.v. wedding ABC would give them. (That would be incredibly dumb IMO)

I think in the short term she will go into some field in law because I suspect they may want to wait a couple of years before starting a family. When that times comes it could very well be another matter though; Andi has said she wants 4 children and Josh has said as many as she will give him; that many kids can be a real handful to figure out how to balance family and a career.

^^ IMO also, assuming that either of them want a "big" wedding; I don't believe that Sean did so much as he wanted it for Catherine. All Josh has said is that he'd like it as soon as possible and Andi hasn't said she wants anything more that a trip to the courthouse. I don't think I really believe that but sooner or later one of these couples is going to really not care about a big TV wedding and will get married on their own terms - basically tell the network "We're getting married next month. If you want to film it be there, otherwise don't be there."
Here's a funny thing about televised weddings and the contract. The show contract says that if a marriage ceremony of any kind occurs within two years after televising the FRC, the show has the rights to photograph or video tape it and use that footage just as if it was part of the regular series (ie they can televise it). So it really isn't the decision of the couple to have a televised wedding in the first place - all the couple decides is to get married. Once they make that decision the show has the rights to film it and televise it. This is why wedding related announcements have to be sanctioned by TPTB - they already have the rights and they are the ones deciding if they want to televise it - not the couple.

I thought I remember Andi saying she wanted to take the time to really plan it which to me seems like an indication of a bigger wedding. Sean and Catherine's wedding wasn't huge, around 200 I believe.
While the show has the right to televise it, if a couple decided to say elope the show couldn't do anything about it. They could also plan a surprise wedding which again, the show wouldn't have control over. So the couple does have some say. TPTB obviously have a lot of say though on what they televise, hence the appearance of passing on Des/Chris wedding since they already said when and where it's happening.

If they end up getting married I can't imagine anything other than a large wedding with Andi (& MM). I also think Andi wants a televised wedding if it's offered. If I had the choice it's a no brainer that I'd rather have Des & Chris on my tv than Andi & the Murray clan.

Josh said an announcement if a "few" weeks, which seems longer than a couple of weeks IMO.

I for one would love to see Josh and Andi get married on my TV. If they televise Des and Chris I would love to see that also. But it seems Des and Chris are making their own plans no date has been set for them that I know of.

The language of the contract would IMO preclude a surprise wedding:
Producer shall have an exclusive and irrevocable right to photograph (moving and/or still), film and/or videotape any such wedding ceremony (the “Wedding Ceremony”) (hereinafter the “Wedding Exclusivity Period”).
A couple could elope if that was how they decided to get married and the show couldn't stop them but I think to avoid a breach of this clause they would have to tell the producers where the ceremony was going to be and allow it to be photographed or filmed; the producers have the rights and the couple can't revoke them. Of course the producers would have to be totally crazy to try and enforce that, but legally, IMO they could.
The producers are not required to televise anything, though if they do televise it they have to pay a certain amount ($10,000 in the past) for each hour of televised airtime.Obviously the show doesn't have to actually exercise any of these rights - they just have to be given them. So if, as it appears, they decide they don't want to televise Des & Chris's wedding they are under no obligation to do so.
Like everything else in the contract, this is all very one-sided.
