Perhaps there's a chance Andi will be on DWTS this fall and she doesn't want to go back to work only to leave again in a couple of months? I tend to think that the leads can and should go for any opportunities that come their way so if she has a shot to do it, why not? I don't believe she's necessarily trying for a career in the biz because she seems to have been happy with her job. I guess we'll have to see.

^^^I agree, albean. You have to strike while the iron is hot, and you have only but one life to live. I say go for the green, the mirror trophy ball, the brass ring, whatever your heart's desire. Can't fault her for that at all.

Taking leave until December is a fairly sure sign she is engaged.  If she wasn't there wouldn't be extended "duties" related the show because she wouldn't be marketable.  August would cover most of the media blitz so it has to be something media driven or a quick marriage to plan.

Another possibility is a #livelikeEric venture.

It really is a given on this show that you have to be engaged upon the finale. JPG might have gone against the grain, but look where he stands now. So, the engagement thing ---to me is a given, does it mean so much to me--no. If they are still really together by Dec. that will mean something to me.
Most jobs, at this point in time with the extended LOA, would not put up with the occasional oh btw I have to be gone next Wed-Fri for a PR job in NYC. Resigning was the right thing to do.

What I don't understand is why resign and ask for an eventual rehiring, when you've been granted a leave anyway... Because the report from earlier with the DA himself clearly states that she has been granted the 6 months leave until Dec.

This way they can fill her spot and she doesn't burn a bridge. She may have no intention of returning but wants to leave options open.

It is illogical for her to change her mind from granted leave to resignation. Resigning removes the safety net. Maybe the initial source of it being only a leave was false. It may have been a resignation all along. Is there proof of the former?

We never saw paperwork that indicated an extension of her LOA was extended, but I doubt the DA would lie in an interview when he said that.

Question for me is did the DA actually say that or did the interviewer misinterpret what he said.
