I think so too. They talked with "some source" but didn't have the letter to back up what they were reporting.

My personal take: IF Meandi is wanting to go back to the ADA position when ready(Dec '14?) and there is a position available for her--perhaps they will consider her and re-hire? 
So the door might be partially open. There might be a better legal position in GA available for her at that time, giving her an out once again. 
Bottom line is--that letter is a letter of resignation.

As far as the Dec '14 date, just having the occasional PR obligation that she is contractually obliged to might cause too much obstruction/disruption in her ADA job performance, which may have caused her to resign.

I think she'll return to law, I just don't see her as a fameho. I guess I could be wrong but I don't see this girl who never even had to go to law school in the first place, leaving it to pursue, what, exactly? While her fiance is going to be sitting 2 miles away from her old apartment, just twiddling his thumbs until she realizes that she's not going to be the next Melissa? Who knows but my hope is that she's resigning because the public sector isn't for her and she's going to find some other type of law to work in until she probably has kids and takes time off.

^^^I don't see her as a fameho either, and I believe like you, that she will return to some sector of law.  I also think that she resigned knowing that it is a bit unfair to ask them to wait nearly a full year for her return.  I don't know how busy the dockets are in Atlanta, but I would imagine pretty busy and to be short one ADA puts the burden on those remaining.  Three or four months away might be feasible, but an additional six months on top of that?  Best to give them the option of hiring someone to take her place in my opinion.

I agree plus she'd already had time off when she was on the bachelor. Even if they really like her that's a lot of time off.

If Andi changed careers it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't do something with the law and her undergraduate degree in communication.
