As much as I am uncertain about Juan Pablo's level of commitment to Nikki, he didn't have to take her to the wedding, especially since he isn't interested in playing TPTB game, although it probably is also good publicity for him ... Point being, if he is faking it, he is going all out and by choice, not contract. Which makes me think there could be some there, there.

I can easily see the nice guy Des refers to. But I can't imagine being in a relationship with a guy that approaches relationships the way he seems to. But, I'm not Nikki.

I'm completely wait and see. If they make the distance, I'll be a fan. I love love, I'm just a sucker for all stories that end up being true ones.

I think he makes her feel loved. I just don't see her "only hoping" for more. Personally, I didn't take anything other than Nikki being strong and sure of what she wants and what she needs from a significant other while on the show. Through Clare's insistent Nikki pay her attention, I learned Nikki can hold her on, too!

ETA: See, I think JP knows he is stubborn and difficult at times. I think he wants to make sure Nikki is okay with the good and the bad when those situations occur. There are always not so great moments in a relationship. I really think he takes this proposal very seriously and if he ever ask her to marry him, in his eyes...they are meant to be.

I do think Nikki is a great match for him. She's athletic, sassy, bright and just a lil doll(love her beautiful smile) but so mature. I think she has the ability to communicate with JP that will make him observe and listen (even under stress). If they survived this past 4 months while he was being dragged through the mud, their chances of a strong relationship are pretty good! I do think if Nikki is not feeling it at any time, she will say "thank you" but you aren't eternally for me! I really don't think Nikki suffers fools!

I love this post, because I too love Nikki. I like JPG and he is her choice too. I trust her to stick up for herself and know what she wants.

Without proof, I think he also wants to be sure she wasn't too immersed in the bachelor bubble. The tenderness and respect he gave her on the show really signalled to me that he was in pretty deep. I agree Nikki is pragmatic, introspective, honest, witty, but she did tell JPG she was starting to fall for him really early in the show, was debating telling him she loved him after two 1-1 dates, did tell her mom she would accept a proposal during the hometown. He does need to protect his heart to a degree but I do believe he wants it all to be real for both of them.
From what we were shown, and have since seen, I don't get a controlling vibe from either of them. They both value honesty & family in what appears to be the same way, they share common humour & are direct (blunt at times) communicators so they don't confuse each other, they both dress down a lot of the time (saying something), they find each other sexy, and they are loyal - she stood by him through all the negatives during airing and he kept his word to her father despite pressure that became a battle with TPTB.
I really really like them together.

I'm curious - at this point what does JP owe TPTB? What I mean by that is, does he have to tell them if he is accepting interview or going to AC to Harrods?

I really really like them together.

I'm not sure if I totally agree with all of these sentiments because standing up to Clare isn't standing up to the man she loves, and I hate to stereotype but "model loves dbags" is a pretty standard trope in life from what I've seen. Not to mention his treatment of her at atfr was horrible (obviously just my own thought), letting her look like she's with a guy who doesn't care for her to stick it to TPTB. However, all things considered if Nikki's type is a bad boy, she could have done much worse than JPG; he has his faults but he's no Ed or Bentley or Wes. Ultimately he's a good guy, if kind of bumbling with women, he's a good dad, and IA that of all the women on the show, he showed the most care and concern for Nikki. OTOH, if she was looking for a boy scout, she needs to go speak with Des or Roberto's girlfriend.

Anyway, I wish them the best, excited to follow along on their (mis)adventures and their relationship has sucked me in totally unexpectedly! Can't believe how much I'm back to posting and visiting here, I must love badboys too! giggling
