Every detail of this season and post season points to Nikki as F1 IMO. Even going back to past seasons, regardless of rose ceremony order ect. Nikki is getting the F1 edit. Clare is getting the typical F2 edit!

I guess there are and will be differing opinions on that. JBF and others have put out a pretty convincing case for why Nikki isn't/won't be F1. Post season, there is a lot pointing to a Clare F1 too.

I see the HTD "distraction" very differently from you and Litta123. If Clare's HTD was intended to be a distraction they would not have shown it last and left the viewers with the final impression of her HTD fixed in their minds.

The impression that the AfterBuzz hosts (and probably many viewers) is that Laura made it an "awkward" date. Just because Litta and I are noticing the striking body language does not necessarily mean "All Of America" is. So it probably didn't matter when they showed it. As Auntie suggested, the F1s often get edited as either #3 or #4 anyway. (Roberto was one of the exceptions.)

To me, Juan Pablo clearly felt at ease with Clare's family...in spite of Laura (Lara?).

One similarity between Clare/Juan and Nikki/Juan is the frequent looking-away in front of the cameras. You see this in four shots above.

In a way, this works in either favor since Nikki told Juan in Korea that "science" proves that girls who are attracted to their man look away. Of course, this may apply to Juan as equally as the ladies. We see HIM looking at Clare constantly as SHE looks away.

I think the reason Juan is almost always beside Clare in group situations (despite her habit of muscling in to that spot each time), is so that he isn't facing her directly. Again... this shot in Vietnam still has me amused. Is he rubbing his eyes because they bother him or is he trying to avoid all of the other "eyes" noticing his blushing?

Obviously their relationship leaped forward in Vietnam (like Ash/JP in Hong Kong, Sean/Cath in Alberta, Des/Chris in Munich) to the point that her crying prompted loooooong sitdowns with additional It's OK's over and over and over. (One reason Andi got sick of It's OK was because there was a lot less emotion behind it when spoken to HER.)

In group dates without Clare, he is frequently sitting by Renee, probably because she was his emotional F2 (and had to be eliminated before things got serious in St. Lucia).

We also get more of these kinds of shots with Clare...

Yes... I know there are the occasional far way shots with Nikki too... like the dark cave scene in Vietnam. (Quick! Grab that shot and post it immediately to Fight Fire With Fire! Ha ha!)

Yes, Nikki/Juan had a longer goodbye on her front porch than he had with Clare at the car -- but he had a make out sesh with her before she walked him to the car.

Also, the actual F1 gets their rose second at the FD stage, just like Clare did this time.  In the seasons since bach 8 and bachette 5 are Melissa in bach 13 and Jef in bachette 8.  All the rest have followed that rule no matter what order their FD came in.

I feel you can't count this season cause Nikki is always called first unless she has a rose already.

If it is better for you not to count this season, what about all the others and the stats on it?? There are so many F1's roses called second than not. But I do count this season in as it just adds to the proof as far as I am concerned.

The reason I say this is because the lead usually swap it up. JP doesn't he calls Nikki t first every time unless she already has one. He doesn't call Care over Nikki, in the pass the lead calls there F1 first at some point. I also believe it's Nikki because JP did the same thing Brad did.He called Nikki off away from the other girls to give her the group date rose. Brad did that with Emily.

So the stats for how many seasons of this show don't matter?? There are stats that have been recorded and those state: Bach season since season 8 and bachette season since season 5 at the FD stage, the rose that gets called second is the F1. TWO seasons are exceptions: Melissa with Jason season 13 and Bachette season Emily with Jef. All of the other seasons: FD rc; the name that gets called 2nd is the F1.

So, I ask, do all those stats deserve to be taken into account or should they be ignored??

I don't think so. Just like the FIR (with the exception of Roberto) the first date of the season has a "curse". That date in many seasons has gone well with a great if not excellent relationship emerging. However often the pressure is one of the causes of the relationship to disintegrate. AshleyH and Brooks came close as Brad said he was to take Ashley to the finale but she decided to leave prior to the RC and Brooks did not even go on the FD with Des. Bets that he would have been in the finale and possibly F1 (sorry Chres fans but that is how I see it) if he was willing. So neither f1 or f2 have emerged from that position yet. At least not since post Brad1.0.

However, quite a few future leads have come out of that position. Ali, Jake, AshleyH, Jillian and Des.

I have stated a lot of points earlier, think you can research the past posts.

But the stats thing that I have said a few times. That is an absolutely major thing that shouldn't be ignored.

Another point is how there has always been doubts from JP about Clare, etc. There has always been obstacles for them to work through. With Nikki, there hasn't been anything which is way more indicitive of a F2 than a F1.
