On IG élan posted a pic of nikki swimming alone and the tag said Stonefield Estates. I know nothing about St Lucia, but it said it was from there. Fwiw

Ah, so it was a case of thinking with the little head instead of the big head? He definitely got it right in the end. He and Cat are great together. Cat is one of my favorite female contestants to come on this show. I love her and Sean together, and glad they found each other.

More like ignoring other females' thoughts and being stubborn. Typical dude. And you should definitely read their tweets if you're a fan of either of them. On second thought, if your a fan of JuanPa don't read them.

I like snark. I like JPG too. I am okay with a bachelor who didn't necessarily believe he would find his wife. I like to think that if Cat hadn't been there that Sean wouldn't have found his wife. I prefer someone be real about the fact that they like someone enough to date and continue to get to know and fall in love with just them in the real world, instead of the proposal as an agreement to date and see if we really like each other. I do think Sean and Cat were the exception to this rule, but in general the proposal is pretty hollow to me.

Edited to add, I prefer no engagement to a situation like Ben and Jason where they proposed to multiple women in less than one year. Really makes it special when they do propose to the one they really will marry.

I honestly think the guy thought he was just making a TV show, and had no conception that the producers would seriously expect him to choose a wife candidate in that batch. He sticks to the same lines everywhere in publicity and in talking with girls. It's tough. I don't like to hurt people. I like _________ (name). His list of qualities in the girls shows that he never did get to know anyone. Andi over did it on camera. Reminded me if when Garofalo tried to go all Prosecutor on that villain character in Des season. If I was JPG I would have done the same... No point arguing with a lawyer. Trust me I know!

So if Nikki was at Stone Estates, using our old theory of whom the lead likes the best, it would be Claire, Nikki and Andi in a distant 3rd. Her hotel was waaay less expensive than the other two.

My opinion about the main players has changed more this season than any other time I've watched. I've always liked Nikki, but I've become less and less convinced that she's the best fit for Juan Pablo. I was ambivalent about Clare, but liked her on her hometown. To me, she's seeming more and more like a better fit for him. I've liked Andi until tonight. I'm not looking forward to her season nearly as much as I was. I have liked Juan Pablo more and more as the season progresses, and Chris Harrison's interactions with him I've liked less and less. I think TPTB have done a terrible job with the culture/language differences.

I think you could very well have hit on the story of this whole season. That was his mindset going in, not in a heartless way, just how it was in his mind. He wouldn't get past saying he "likes that" about the girls and that they're "sexy" and the show couldn't do anything to make him get more real. He didn't follow the usual pattern of peppering the girls with leading questions to build their characters and story lines either it seem to me. CH seemed so frustrated in that sit down tonight. I think the producers must have really had a hard time with him.

I blame TPTB. They chose a lead to take the pressure off of themselves with the minority lawsuits and didn't bother to really know him or how he might handle the situation. They were right he wasn't in love with Des and did they even bother to ask him if he thought he could fall in love on tv?

I am tired of them throwing him under the bus. CH could have warned him before those videos, but nope just threw him to the wolf so to speak.

Can you imagine eight weeks of listening to him in the control booth. I'm sure they were exasperated he didn't ever show depth on camera ever. Not mere language barrier.

Very deceiving from Andi. For a supposed intelligent woman, she didn't show a lot of intelligence there in my opinion.
I believe she's guilty of being greedy for the bachelorette gig...

I agree about Andi. I liked her until tonight too and the whole break-up thing seemed so producer manipulated to me. She'll be a nice, pliable bachette.

I absolutely agree with you that they have done a terrible job with the culture/language differences. Maybe they should have had an extra character in the mix - sort of a JP translator - to help us all along sort of like the shrink did on Brad 2.0. :Biggrin:
