Episode 7 -- Miami -- airs Feb 17

It's been a long time since I've popped in to a current episode thread and not only seen it long but QUITE long.

Plus, it's rather witty at times, something I've also missed seeing as much of!

It just made me smile...which is nice since Juan Pablo doesn't particularly. LOL

Ahh, well 7 weeks into a relationship IS early...either way. And the fact that it was on a TV show that still had a handful of girl shows that it isn't something he takes too seriously.

Because NO ONE WALKS AWAY WHILE THE QUEEN HOLDS COURT. And since I'm as nasty as the best of them, I actually loved Nikki's crack about Clare's family. Made me laugh. I figured her family did have to be crazy, or at least Grade A enablers to produce the likes of Clare. But Mama impressed me in the preview for next week. Stay strong Clare's Mama!

BUT, I do think Clare following her up the stairs, refusing to leave her room because TPTB paid for it and then lying that she came up to check on Nikki were also bitchy and I for one hate lying.

At the cocktail party, Nikki made no effort to be nice to the three girls she didn't like, again not the nicest, but she also didn't try to start a fight or make snarky comments for them to hear either. I found the overly loud whispers about Nikki at the cocktail party to be rude and the one at the rose ceremony really just petty and mean.

I think we have all been in situations with a person we just don't like. I probably identify with Nikki, because I might try to engage that person once or twice, but as it becomes obvious that nothing will change, to me I would probably just try to ignore them too.

Both had their bitchy moments. I guess, I just saw Nikki try to disengage and let it go, whereas to me Clare kept trying to push and cause more drama.

I wonder if we are being set up for the scenario of Juan P just not falling in love with any of these gals. I think he and Nikki are cute together but I am not really seeing any sparks. He seemed so engaged in the dance recital and his daughter - and seeing all his family - didn't seem to really care about Nikki being there. That together with no real quiet intimate moments together (like Clare's hot tub time and hotel room/sweat pants time) and Nikki's unflattering edit seems to indicate Nikki may be the F1 but is there a lasting relationship there ?
Clare started off well with her 1st date and all the intimate times together but in Miami he didn't seem too engaged with her - relationship didn't "grow." And she certainly hasn't gotten a good edit. Their relationship seems a struggle.

So we have been spoiled by RS that no ring is presented at the end - so perhaps the bad edits of the girls are to explain why JP didn't fall in love...

He didn't seem too upset - really - when Sharlene left - he was proud of her for being honest with herself - but certainly didn't try to persuade her to stay. And with Andi - there really hasn't been much conversation - just kissing so hard to see if he really felt something serious with her. I am just not sure whetehr he really came into this looking for someone - I would be taken aback if a guy kept saying his daughter was number one etc...

I wouldn't compare what Nikki said about Clare's family being crazy too to the whispers about JP making a mistake at the RC because one was said in a PI and one was in front of Nikki & Andi.

I have this feeling that Clare is used to getting her own way being the baby of the family (the pretty one?) and that's why she's having so much trouble with Nikki.  It appears her sister wants to make sure she doesn't pull it again with their mom.

I believe Juan Pablo didn't want to show any special attention towards Nikki in front of her daughter, but only to show her as a friend. No hand holding, no kisses ... That's his rules when he's with somebody in front of his daughter.

I agree with you with the lack of " sparks" during the date, when he was alone with Nikki. But was it because there was none or because it was not shown ? ...

I have a question regarding that scene where Renee, Chelsie and Clare returned from the group date, after JuanP had given Andi the rose, and therefore Andi got some alone time with JuanP that night.  Was that scene spliced up so that we did not hear the entire conversation?

It became quite clear after last night's episode that there were two very distinct "cliques" in the house, with Renee, Clare and Chelsie vs Nikki and Andi.  Since we have not been shown enough of the interaction between all five of those women, except in bits and pieces, we will have to come to our own conclusions as to what has transpired in the house thus far.

Chelsie made a comment about Nikki and Andi always whispering to each other, yet she, Renee and Clare seemed to be doing the same thing last night.  I suspect that Nikki gravitated toward the women in the house that she could most indentify with and felt the most comfortable around, and she did not try to be friends with those that she did not connect with.  That could have come across as snobby, so she probably got off on the wrong foot with many of the other women in the house.

But, why did Chelsie or whoever it was that called up to Nikki, letting her know that they were back from their group date, invite her to come down and join them on the couch....since none of the three of them were particularly close her?  Knowing full well what Nikki's reaction would most likely be (upon finding out that Andi would be getting a hometown date), what did they expect to happen?  It also was apparent that the four of them had little to talk about, once Nikki found out that Andi had gotten the rose.

Clare kept giving Nikki a death stare, which made me feel like we did not get to hear all of the conversation before Nikki abruptly got up and left.  So, I felt like we were only given a snippet of the conversation that lead up to the big blowup between Clare and Nikki.

I would like to know what is the definition of bitchy. To me it is always complaining, starting arguments and few other things. I never saw Nikki start an argument, nor choose to carry one on. I never saw her approach any of the girls with an issue. Even when Clare said some nasty things she chose not to respond to it. Clare started with her earlier this season by calling her fake. If she doesn't want to carry on a conversation with them, I don't think that classify you to be a bitch but a way to limit arguments. So what is a bitch.

Everyone looks at things differently. I applaud Nikki for getting up and removing herself from a conversation she didn't want to be part of. What I felt from Clare was that "NO ONE WALKS AWAY WHEN SHE IS SPEAKING". She immediately gave me the feeling that "she is queen bee and should be respected as such". For me Clare going after Nikki was what I call badgering, nit picky what ever you want to call it. I would of said "enough is enough, I don't care to discuss it anymore with you. You can leave now".

Not everyone likes everyone. But we don't have to stay and have our friends picked on either. It's like you sit there and listen to what I have to say and don't move or say a word. Totally bs in my eyes. Nikki did the right thing.
