*No Spoilers* The Bachelor 18 Edit Discussions

Please note that I am not saying that I do not wish him well, but I couldn't care less about who JP ends up with or if he ends up alone. I do not claim to know what these people are like in REAL LIFE, so do not who is classy or not, smart or not, but this is my summation; from the little I have been able to glean from articles that I have read about JP and some of the girls and from going through their social media accounts (including friends and family), the one girl remaining that would fit most with JP's traditional Latino life (his daughter, family and lifestyle) is Clare.

Nikki (most especially), Renee, Chelsea and Andi are probably great girls but they are too "All-American" IMHO. Regardless of the attraction, Sharlene is just wrong.

I agree with what you have said. I do see Clare and JP as a match compared to others like Nikki, Andi, and Renee. Sharleen is so far off the match as well.

The other thing with Nikki is that her edit is also looking to be turning bad and the bitchy side is coming out.

Nikki certainly thinks so. Is Clare THAT jealous? In the meltdown with Renee in episode #3, she was mostly upset about Juan not giving her reassurance. She told Juan she wasn't jealous... not that we all believe her.

According to Sharleen, it is "slight possessiveness"... and we hear her commentary right after Andi talks to her.

Andi is quite the seedy criminal prosecutor. She tried to stir trouble with Sharleen at the pool party (episode #3), saying Clare is "tick tock" because "they" might have all seen her kissing Juan. Andi just tells Nikki that Clare is "crazy" and Nikki starts talking and talking and talking. Kelly jokingly told Nikki that Clare is "crazy" too and, of course, Nikki started at it.

It is fair to say that certain individuals do magnify traits they see in their competition. Yes, they have these traits... but are they as bad as we think? Or, like Nikki, "we can never be friends".

This show is quite the Mind Game. Yet, let's face it. These ladies know nothing about each other apart from what they see... or WANT to see... in this Reality TV Bubble.

Nikki's edit reminds me a little of Ben Flajnik in Ashley's season. He got very angry at her in Fiji, but talked himself into thinking she loved him as much as he "thought" he loved her. He also didn't view Jordan Paul as much competition, since he never saw them together in the same group date after Phuket, Thailand (episode #4).

In this key scene, Nikki keeps talking and talking and talking... and all Juan does is kiss her.

Juan then states in this video: "Nikki... she told me 'I really like you'. Wow. I am NOT asking her. She is just saying it... and I am, like, this is good. Nikki... watch out."

I had to listen to this several times because this man is sssssooooo confusing in his Spanglish. Apparently the editors lopped and chopped his comments as if he is warning Nikki on screen that she is over-analyzing The Entire Bubble Situation. Like Ben Flajnik, she has not been on any group dates with Clare. She knows nothing about the Vietnam boating kissing (a full half hour per Kat). Although Andi hangs out with her all of the time, is she telling her what she tells viewers in her PIs? (That is: " I definitely think Juan Pablo gravitates towards Clare. It doesn't feel good to say that, but it's the truth!")

Kinda doubt it.

Nikki loves to talk... and the editors are having the most fun they have had since Reid Rosenthal made the fatal error of joining Bachelor Pad. Take this chestnut scene in Korea when she chews out Kat behind her back. Everything she says is "proven wrong" by the next scene:

He did say Chelsie was "wife material" too on her date. Like I said above, he also uses "my wife" with Clare as well. We just have to wait for more down the line.

note that both couple are dancing with a theme song in intimate setting. of course, both leads also dancing with other contestants other than F1, but in different setting,and usually not repeated . e.g. : Chres were dancing again on episode 5 (different song) while JuClare on episode 6 (same song). ; Des was dancing with Brooks and James as well, each only for one time. Juan will be dancing with Andi on episode 7. and was dancing with Chelsie and Kat

Ali and Roberto were the first to get The Theme Song, thanks to the Lion King date they were on. JP (Jordan Paul) got REO Speedwagon "Can't Fight This Feeling" repeated twice. Chris Siegfried was the first to REALLY get a theme song when Matt White's "Love And Affection" was repeated four times in the season. What was intriguing about that choice was that Matt White personally sang (different songs) at Ash and Jordan's wedding.

Yeah... Chelsie (like Brooks and James last season) got some music from Billy Currington too and Andi will get some music on Monday. Yet we did hear Clare's twice.

"No Better Lovers" was played TWICE for JP and Clare. It was played on their first date when they were dancing in the snow and then again in the living room this past episode. Clare even said "Juan Pablo's playing that song. The song we heard on our first date".

I think jlccaz' comment bears repeating as it appears that JuanPa has been framed by many including some on this board as a moronic, uneducated person who just doesn't get much of anything. Wonder how intelligent and/or educated we would sound in a second language. I think he understands nuances much more than given credit for and other than the fact that he tries to halt the women's feelings (particularly hurt and sad ones) especially if he feels he has caused them, I think he has a pretty high EQ (emotional intelligence). While I take significant umbrage to his "pervert" comment, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that.

Further, I don't get all of the criticism about how many women he is kissing. His predecessor would be the first to admit that he (Sean) kissed many women and has stated more than once he doesn't regret it as he felt it important to be fully present with each woman while with her. Yet, JuanPa seems to be getting blasted for the same behavior. And, as i mentioned elsewhere, if you watch closely, he is not kissing indiscriminately. Kat apparently did not get kissed although she made it to the last 8 and I am not sure Chelsea did after her 1-1 (other than kisses on the cheek). And I have found it refreshing that he can have fun and enjoy himself without the aid of alcohol. From what I have heard, due to his rare drinking while filming even though he asked the women not to have more than a couple of drinks a night many of them chose not to drink at all since he wasn't no doubt creating much more of a challenge for the drama-seeking producers.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Many may think the because of his broken English, he is uneducated, and that really couldn't be farther from the truth. As far, as the kissing aspect, I think Juan Pablo has kissed less girls than many of his predecessors. I am not sure why he is getting more flack for it. Maybe it's because he is Latin, or not the typical American guy, it really is quite puzzling.

I totally agree with you.
Juan Pablo has shown great intelligence by:
- being able to refrain from drinking
- choosing not to kiss every girl, only the ones he really cared for
- being able to speak 2 languages and even being on TV show with his second language

I believe he is smarter than some people think...
