Episode 6 – Seeking Clare-ification

In case we missed “the greatest episode” per Fleissmeister, we are forced to re-watch clips of Vietnam before our visit to New Zealand…

Again… we must be reminded “why” Clare thinks there’s a “dark cloud” preventing her from finding “romance” here like the other lady goslings.

The mommy talk between Cassandra and Renee: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (I guess something important was discussed here.)

Andi’s date:

Dig the background musical homage to “Bodyrock” (Moby tune of the nineties) as she enjoys a repeat of Cassandra’s aquatic motoring. This got us ready for lots of body-against-the-rocks.

I was worried that we would get another Amazing Race stunt date, but fortunately the between-the-rocks visit to the waterfalls wasn’t too dangerous. No dinosaurs lurking. Their make-out session was kinda “hot” even if she kept squirming and gasping for breath more than I expected.

At least we can guess she goes far on account how the heat looks on screen. Although a few geysers exploding over dinner did help adding more.

Their conversation: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz One thing that bugs me: like Nikki, the talk was about what each wants in a… *drink!*… relationship. Yet they aren’t including each other in the conversation.

Special note of interest: Andi does not like being fed.

Oh yes… Andi’s theme, repeated episode after episode, is “losing control”.

Group date: Ogo Mojo Time:

Best moment by far: Chelsie and Juan talking to the cows. Words can’t describe the udder joy of it all. I think they should just ditch half the ladies and make Chelsie the show’s centerpiece. She doesn’t have to be F1. Just the show’s entertainment.


Mercifully the silly rolling ogo scenes with Juan hopping from ball-to-ball with different ladies were brief. Guess they have to promote the tourism.

Is it my imagination, but when Clare is not around, Juan is more often than not sitting by Renee? They are boring as a couple, but something about her makes him “comfortable”. Both she and Nikki got some tongue action this date. Ahhhh Juan!

Speaking of kissing… Sharleen with Juan. Oh… ay ay ay… Poor girl. No wonder she feels like Bryden last season, despite the group rose. He tells her to just enjoy the moments (paraphrasing) as if cluing her that she’s not The One, but he needs additional contestants to stick around as long as he needs them.

Cassandra’s birthday. Ouch! At least they gave her a groovy “Mystic Dream” for her exit from the date.

Princess Clairol on a vengeance:

Well… not really. They insinuated she would be in the promos. Juan kinda apologized. He also did so with her on top of him. The boy likes his woman on top.”Did we have our first fight?” she asks. That was priceless, Princess.

We opened the segment with little lambs baaa-ing in the Pasteur. Two, in fact. That’s the number of kiddies Juan is expecting in his future.

As for the second half of the date: it was sssssoooooooo blatantly “final one-ish”. They dressed “casual” on couches like Ashley and JP… all “cozy”. They added a musical theme, just not Matt White or REO Speedwagon this time. Worse: Clare and Juan talk about “our” relationship just like Chris and Desie last season, about “we” get over “our” problems and so forth.

Ugh! This is the most predictable season in Bachelor/ette history.

Wrapping it up

Chris Harrison’s sitdown with Juan: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Juan and Nikki before the rose ceremony... that scene instantly reminded me of the two dates Ashley H. had with her F2 Ben Flajnik in Chiang Mai and Taiwan. Lots of smiling “Hmmmmmm”. Remember how Ashley said “hmmmmmm” when discussing harvesting grapes with Wine Boy? I could never picture Ashley in the Sonoma California dirt. Yet we gotta pump up the heat with Nikki and Andi! Actually Nikki genuinely thinks she has the best connection… and it isn’t that I don’t see the heat there. Nikki needs no additional geysers for support.

I seriously think Renee is the one he wants to “love” as much a Clare, but there is a definite problem with their “chemistry”. Even worse, Renee wanted Cassandra to get a rose earlier with no concern for her self. I don’t sense she has her heart fully into this.

Regarding Beloved Renee, Juan moans: “There’s nothing more attractive than a woman talking about her kid.” You wanna bet? How about a woman stepping out of a limo knocked-up?

I couldn’t keep up with Chelsie’s Walter Winchell speed delivery when covering... ugh!... “relationships”, but she looked ravishing in her red. Great comic timing. Just keep her on the show to keep ME entertained.

Kat tells Juan she isn’t aggressive with guys. Uh oh. He wants an aggressive woman to be on top. Of course, she’s the next to leave…

I want to see that fight between Nikki and Clare. My gosh Clare to me does not seem stable at all. Nikki finally call her F*%ing crazy. That is not really F1 characteristics. Hmm.. I think Clare is peaking to soon. Something just does not seem right.

Nikki calls her to her face but the other girls (Andi Sharlene and Kelly) have already talked about her crazy characteristics before. I just wonder what sparked their tiff. Now that is entertainment.

A-men and what didn't seem right to me was how much focus Chelsie got from the cameras every time the words future or wife was mentioned in the episode. what the heck? Also did anyone else not noticed that JP was looking at either Rene or Chelsie when he said I see my future right after he send Cassandra home?
I would have thought he'd be looking at Nikki,Andi  or Sharleen since edit is showing us he has a stronger relationship with those 3 right now.

Yaaawwwwwn... after tonight, I hate to break it. Juan ve a la princesa Clara como la madre de sus hijos ... y nada me va a convencer de lo contrario.

I don't speak. I just use google translate: "Juan sees Princess Clare as the mother of his children... and nothing will convince me otherwise."

I'm guessing whoever it is that met the daughter next week is the one? I don't remember which of the ladies were in that screencap of the ladies waving which was sleuthed to be in Miami but from the previews for next week, I think Sharlene got another 1on 1 and Nikki? so, either of the 2 of them might have met the daughter.

Honestly, after tonight's episode, I'm back to thinking Clare is F1. That interview to "clear up" last week's episode through me for a loop -- it only served to confuse me -- but now I can't see it with anyone else. Unless Juan goes with a default pick. It just doesn't make sense to be Nikki or Andi. I don't feel either of their storylines moved forward in a way that can even begin to rival what Clare has with Juan.

Just suppose Nikki is F1. How do you think tonight's episode is going to go over with her, especially after the contentious relationship she seems to have with Clare illustrated by the previews?

I honestly can't see anyone being F1 but Clare.  Also, JP said that he'd do an explaination of his date with Clare in his blog.  How the date didn't go as expected and how they went with the flow instead.  He tweeted that tonight and cited something to do with the weather.

I saw their date going tonight as so many F1's have in the past. Didn't JP and Ash have a chill night, Molly/Jason, Des and Chris. Also, the fact that it was important to him as well to get things straightened out from their date in Vietnam.
