*No Spoilers* The Bachelor 18 Edit Discussions

What is strange about the whole Clare incident is that she was upset about it then and is still upset about it now. At least that's how it comes across in her media interview. Yet she continued with the journey and apparently on the show got over it. So what got her riled up again now ? All she really needed to do is dispel the misconception that nothing happened like she very obviously insinuated on the show. Yet she chose to vent about the incident to the media as well. Seems like she still has unresolved feelings which is a huge red flag in terms of her being F1.

Grace - in some interview JP was asked about his (potential) F1 moving etc. and he responded by saying that if he chose someone they would have to consider her career (paraphrasing here). How much of a stretch would it be for a hairdresser to uproot her business and take it to a new location ? Not as much as say a lawyer, a nurse who both would have to re-qualify or even an opera singer.

To be fair... Nikki DOES want to get to know him better. Andi thinks he's hot and fusses quite a bit about not having a date yet. Renee and Juan are "buds". I don't know what is going on with Sharleen anymore.

I agree. I think a lot of the women have already brilliantly figured out who JP is interested in at this point. They all feel it's Clare. They probably don't feel enough for him to want to fight him. Or they may be pissed off enough to say ok this is not what this show is for. one person to date one person.. We see CH allude to this fault in JP's thinking is that he focuses too much on one person when there are other girls in the show.
I see them more as being pissed off and we'll see some mutiny starting pretty soon.

That reminded me... he seemed to be crying the most when she left. She, in turn, didn't seem all that upset since she knew there wasn't much of a physical connection. In a rare sitdown between them (cut from the show but teased in promos), he is discussing his concern of people who are not what they are (paraphrasing here). I think he spent all of his time with her talking about himself and possibly... ugh!... his OTHER relationships, much as some leads discuss them with Chris Harrison. She came off as the "good listener" type. When the ladies talked about Clare, she simply asked how she was on other dates. It is a shame we didn't see much of her.

On a different subject: I do think some of these ladies' EDITS are works-in-progress. I hate jumping to conclusions like I do with Nikki and Andi. I just get this "vibe" at THIS particular stage in the season, but it can change in future episodes. I do NOT get the sense those two are completely "in the bubble" quite yet (and I don't mean the kind we see in the next dates... just the Reality TV "bubble"). Andi has this "are you kidding, me?" look about her and Nikki can't stop smirking on screen.

I have to comment on everybody's favorite Chelsie too. She pretty much threw in the towel and is simply making the best of it. Her "romance" talk regarding Alli made for hilarious storytelling. She'll be a lot of fun to watch on the "Women Tell Nothing" show.

Regarding that interview, nd4reality, which I took apart piece by piece... yeah, the one interviewer asked her if she was angry and she answered that she wasn't. Just curious. Did anybody hear her voice in audio? All I was reading was a contestant who was carefully coached on how to answer questions. The parts I didn't believe were her comments about it being "just a swim in the ocean". That was NOT what I was seeing. Also she seemed more upset about him using his daughter as an excuse than the "being fair" with the other ladies part. (Yeah, Clare is "all about me"... we can all see that!) However, I can still only think of Juan currently being with Clare... or nobody.

I believe Clare is upset at how she is being portrayed, and what was being insinuated. I just listened to Jason and Molly's latest podcast, and I think it is important to remember that the "swim in the ocean" was all producer driven. Whether they did or didn't really does not matter, except it would explain why Clare was so hurt and embarrassed on last week's episode. Jason mentioned that the producers went to her room, put on her mic and then walked or drove her to his hotel room. He also mentioned that when he did his show, they were always telling him to kiss so and so. He would tell them no, he didn't want to kiss someone and they would say but it makes "good TV!" Jason and Molly thought Juan was using the excuse of his daughter and/or someone else's child, to not kiss someone.

I am surprised that she was even allowed to do the recent interview.

(i.e. no sex) yet she chose to give her p.o.v of JPs reactions and how she felt.
She comes across as "a woman scorned".
The way she clarified what went on in Vietnam (other than the no sex declaration) makes it seem like she is not F1.

Clare didn't seem too "scorned" going by this statement:

Strictly my "take" (nobody here has to agree with me): The whole point of the interview was to show, once and for all, that too-young-to-be-watching Camilla should not be paranoid if they were Doing The Deed in the ocean. (Granted, I was still seeing quite a bit of "foreplay" going on.) I also agree that the pool session was "hotter" and more questionable... and he did that while the ladies were still waiting on their date. So screw the line of "being fair" there. What we have here is this: Juan initiated pooltime make-out and Clare initiated ocean make-out. Which one did you find more "perverted"? Clare is reminding him that he needs to be more honest and up front than he is. This not-kissing-because-of-the-kid is getting really old.

I still suspect somebody in production felt a need to stir up tension between the two of them so that the other ladies don't all leave at once on account of every group date being Clare's 1 on 1 date.

As of now, many online who are calling both of them a variety of names... and the stupid season is only half done! We have to see how The Story plays out, one way or another.

There's little question that the editors really enjoyed themselves stitching the clips together. I guess when you suggest a gay bachelor might be too "perverted" for Camilla to watch during family hour, it gives Mike Fleiss the go-ahead to have the Bachelor Pad-like season ("perversion" with heterosexuals) that he desperately misses after "wholesome" Emily, Sean and Desiree seasons back-to-back. You could tell with all of the ridiculous "live feed" of Consummation Station during the wedding that Fleiss was losing patience.

Oh... one more thing to add:

This line in Clare's interview is especially interesting: "I’m not one that’s personally into all the blogs and Twitter and all that. I try but I’m – it’s just not my thing. I’m usually the one’s that’s not on my phone, not on my computer. I’m out doing things and so I don’t pay too much attention to it but at the same time I don’t put too much weight on it."

Basically we can rule her out as the one "sharing" Juan's nudie shots with radaronline. If Nikki was F1, would she do something like that? Would Andi or Sharleen? How about Juan accidentally sending a shot of himself intended for his "final one" to somebody else... and Mister Fleiss thinking it might make good "stir" for a bachelor who wants to act like a total prude on national TV. (Juan finger pointing James on Desiree's Men Tell All: "I like James. But no, not my daughter, not my sister." I still chuckle over sister telling "all of America" that she was pregnant... THEN Clare arriving "knocked up" out of the limo.)

I'm wondering if this scene occurred before or after the talk or maybe tptb will make the whole date appear like one huge argument throughout, lol.

This is my biggest question too. I thought she could be F1 until I read that interview. Now no way I would believe it now. Takes mystery out of the finale if she's in the F2 as it looks, because it will be hard for me to consider he might pick her after reading that.

Why are they being nice and caring that she doesn't like how it was portrayed and letting her both clear the air and make it seem pretty obvious (IMO) she's not the one. Not their usual way. Makes me think they need to have a pleasant, trusting relationship with her now (post-show).

Maybe she has some beans they don't want her to spill.

hmm interesting  :strings1 . She does have that crazy streak in her and this (interview) was an olive branch extended.

I honestly have gotten to the point that I have no idea what's going on this season. I took screen caps of the Vietnam RC to get the facial expressions that JBF was referring to and, wow, no one really seemed like they wanted to be there. It was awkward to the nth degree. Maybe that why Juan was crying...maybe he got lectured on how he was screwing up the season...who knows?

I have no clue how to interpret Clare's interview...it was all over the place. But, yeah, "my confidence" in her being F1 has diminished. However, I'm still not feeling it with Nikki or Andi either. Could there be a default pick this season? Btw, not that this proves anything, but Andi is now being followed by Chris Harrison on twitter. I'm thinking she is the next B'ette.
