*No Spoilers* The Bachelor 18 Edit Discussions

That's why I love her so, nd4reality. Even tasting fake snowflakes makes her gasp in delight. I am fully expecting one very noisy fantasy suite.

If we decide to have a poll here of "who do you think Juan will pick?", we should certainly include his ex as a "contestant". I am really curious how many on this forum think he is not "over" her.

I am 50% on the ex. I see great admiration for her and friendship. Still not sold on if he still has a romantic crush on her.

He will always have some feelings for his ex especially if they have an amicable relationship. She is the mother of his child and there will always be a connection there. There was a reason that they broke up and they had plenty of opportunity to reconcile. The thing is does he have stronger feelings for the new partner and will this new person bridge the gap that was lacking with his ex.

Whoever JP hooks up with he better have a good working relationship with his ex because it will spill over into his current relationship. Disgruntled ex can make unhappy times for them.

Andi for Bach'ette?  I can dig it. I'm kinda over this season already. Sure Juan Pablo is nice and charming but he lacks depth. The converations that take place between him and the women are superficial (purely physical). I am glad he isn't as stiff as Brad Womack. Granted he is more believable than Ben Flajnik being the Bachelor but I'm not really feeling it. I think Andi would draw great guys and I'm hoping she's in the running for the position.

I'm losing interest as well.  Might just spoil myself and call it a season.  I think I can guess who is F1 (if it ends with an F1) and the way this season is being edited, makes it seem like he was "faking it". I could get behind an Andi as Bachelorette season.

I do think that the season hasn't even really begun. It always seems to be a damp squib at this point in every season where the lead is kissing too many girls, there's too much drama and the edit is making sure that the "signs" don't point to the F1.

We have seen in the past that the obvious contestant is  never the one. There has not been a single season where they have laid out the F1 on a platter and given us the "romance" up front. I doubt this season is any different. Or maybe it is   .

OAN - Someone mentioned a  tip  by veteran sleuths to watch the person that the lead is chasing - particularly for The Bachelor more than the B'ette.
I keep going back to Brad 2.0 with almost everyone was convinced that Chantal was F1. But Brad wasn't the one chasing her. She was chasing him. While he was chasing Emily instead. In each episode, he made it a point to check up on her, making sure she was comfortable, do small little things different with her than he did for the other girls,.
Some folks started also noticed his blog entries about Emily. But 95% of the boards would not change their "seeing the connection with Chantal" till proof emerged with that kids drawing.

Just a thought to mull over while watching this season so far.

Since the three of you brought it up, I have to go back to that video above (a page back).

Both Litta123 and I were correct in what we were hearing. He says "our daughter", then there is an edit cut before he say "I have a daughter" (jumbled up in its wording), followed by more edit cuts and her response of "your daughter". Therefore, we are NOT hearing the full conversation. It is unlikely that there were TWO cameramen shooting this from two angles at the same time and the editors carefully made this an "uncut" continuous take.

This raises key questions:

1.) Is "our daughter" part of a discussion including his ex? In other scenes this season, he candidly DOES discuss her with contestants (i.e. why it didn't work out, we are still friends, she is still in Camilla's life, etc.), so the editors would have no issue having him mention his ex in THIS conversation too. Yet they don't.

2.) Is "our daughter" a slip of his Spanglish jumbling? If this is the case, they would have simply deleted it since he AGAIN says "I have a daughter" so that previous line is no longer important.

3.) Did the editors deliberately leave this in here as a peekaboo "Easter Egg" of sorts? Since his ex is not discussed here, "our daughter" technically means Juan and Clare's as well... AND there has been plenty of stepmommy talk this season so the F1 can't completely ignore Camilla. By saying "our daughter", Juan is getting tough on Clare about how she expresses affection for him in public... even if it is nighttime on a beach. (Yeah, he wants to be like Mitt Romney and only "hold hands" at political rallies.) This conversation is also after her "making love" comment at the toast.

Regardless if Clare is F1 or not, are you suggesting here that in episode # 5, he was already referring to "our daughter" w.r.t Clare ? That is a tad premature.

 Am I the only one that thinks that there's more to Juan and the opera singer then we are being shown?  Also, she has a huge hurdle to overcome.  She's not sure that she wants kids.

It is premature, BUT... no telling what the editors are up to.

2observe, I have occasionally thought of Sharleen periodically as a Dark Horse too, despite all of the "red flags" in her edit.

One pattern I noticed is that the F1s are not shown in the best light in these, relationship-wise. Last season, F1 Chris (who had zero "trouble" with Des) is simply wrapped up in the James drama, with only a fleeting shot with her during the poetry scene. Catherine is dubbed "manipulative" by AshLee and Sean's FRC is an unhappy one thanks to The Letter. Jef is actually presented favorably in the beginning, but then gets into talk-behind-his-back "business" with Chris B. & Ryan B.

This season comes across  most like Brad 2.0 where Clare = Chantal with a eyebrow raising entrance, a strong attraction despite the entrance stunt, possessiveness and childishness and hence drama drama drama. That was a smokescreen for the "real" relationship that Brad was gung ho about from the very beginning.
Sorry that's how I am currently seeing it.

TA : That season Chantal was the spoiled by RS F1 and none could see anyone other than her including the VOs used during their 1on1 time (I want to take her/run) away etc. I don't know who he has spoiled this time and don't want to know yet but the read off that season is so similar to me.
When Chantal returned to the group after her 1on1 wearing just Brads shirt, she allowed everyone's imagination to run wild. Most said that was no way she is NOT F1 if he has "his way" with her in that shirt or less. The camera's showed them making out at the end of that date in next to nothing.  This time they did the kissy kissy in the water instead. Was that the same episode ? Possible 5 or 6 when she got her second 1on1. I think Brad did some backtracking and 'splainin in his blogs then also because his "real" f1 was already needing bucket loads of designer shoes to keep her happy.

No need to say you are sorry... LOL! I wish I could get a Brad promo for this upcoming episode to compare those with.

I agree. He barely knows these girls.
