Yes, very telling indeed 2observe!!2observe wrote:I just thought that it was extremely telling that Des gave Chris the Dodge Ball group date rose instead of Brooks since he was the one that got injured for his efforts.sfrank wrote:That's the nature of the show...go back and watch Ben and Ashley during their LCD and tell me if you could believe watching those scenes she was madly in love with JP.
As for the Chris stuff, I think she wrote the poem out of appreciation for the two Chris had already written to her. The 1on1 time during dodgeball was orchestrated by Chris and TPTB not Des, the sketches I will give you (albeit the same thing Zak did for her). I think she definitely had feelings for Chris - in fact i believe that she was falling for him. But she was already in love with Brooks. However, now yes she seems to be love with Chris. Its easy to fall in love especially when its a great guy like Chris and he loves that much! Time will tell if they will be a successful couple but they seem to have a good shot!

I see this is a thought carried by many, but IMO, it was a thing said in the heat of the moment during Brooks breakdown and leaving. I really don't know how much weight something like that can hold when it is said during a time of stress and emotion like that. As far as Brooks not getting "that date"; he was on that date and didn't get the date rose. Going by the look on his face when she gave it to Chris, IMO, he really thought that rose would of been his and since it wasn't, that is why it was telling, IMO.BarbB222 wrote:I don't think it was telling at all. Des already admitted with every date she went on she WISHED it was with Brooks and we also know she fell for Brooks early. He was on meds and didn't have a chance to shower. I think it was good thing he didn't get that group date. Appropriate actually considering the circumstance.2observe wrote:I just thought that it was extremely telling that Des gave Chris the Dodge Ball group date rose instead of Brooks since he was the one that got injured for his efforts.sfrank wrote:That's the nature of the show...go back and watch Ben and Ashley during their LCD and tell me if you could believe watching those scenes she was madly in love with JP.

Sometimes people you love go away....leave you, die, love someone else, never love you to begin with, or love you but are on a different page. Sometimes people we love are not the ones we end up marrying. I wish Des and Brooks would have had more time but they didn't.
Des accepted Chris' proposal and I hope they will be happy. She did accept a plan B.

I wonder if its us or themselves they are trying to convince. Facts are facts. Everyone and their mother (and their brother too) knows it. That said, I don't feel her choice was wrong. Chris is a good guy. You should be with the guy that loves you.Adele1117 wrote:Why must they constantly come in here and try to prove Chris' and Des' love to Brooks' fans? /\ Thank goodness.bleuberry wrote:^ I agree. And sometimes, there's no harm in admitting that the plan you envisioned for yourself wouldn't have been great for you anyway. She may have used the word 'infatuation' in her blog after the finale. She isn't the girl for Brooks.

I think that was to start bringing her F4 guys forward. They usually know by the 3rd episode who will be the F4 guys,so it is reasonable they will start highlighting them at this point. In episode three Ali gave the date group rose to Kirk, I don't believe Ashley gave out one, infact she did not even have a RC cocktail party in the 3rd episode.. If you go back and compare the three seasons, you will see how Des season is a combination of Ali's and Ashley.
Ali: First 1 on 1 date: Frank- Hollywood sign, great connection
Ashley: First 1 on 1 date: William- Wedding in Vegas, best first date
Des: First 1 on 1 date: Brooks- Hollywood sign and wedding attire, best date ever
Ali: bad boy: Justin - left in episode six
Ashley: bad boy: Bentley - left in episode three
Des: bad boys: Brian-episode three, Ben-episode five, James-episode six
Brooks was not and is not a BAD Boy, I don't know why people were saying Des always go for the "bad boy" and infer that is what Brooks was. But, the main difference in the other two leads and Des, was that Ashley and Ali were not in love with Frank, William, Justin or Bentley and they had not been spoiled as the F1. Des was in love with Brooks, she may not be now, but, at the time of her proposal from Chris she was. I do believe she cared about Chris and felt very comfortable with him. They shared a friendship that was special. But, Des said on more than one occasion she wanted a " love that light the darkness" and she believe that love was with Brooks. I believe Chris can provide a happy life for Des, but, she will have to work hard at it. I keep going back to what Leslie said to her about the guys. When Des described Chris and Drew she used words, like kind, sweet, nice, loving, caring, and Leslie stopped her and said, thats, great, but I feel you need to have someone with a little edge. I agree, Des has been on her own since she was 18 and she did not get where she is without having a little edge. That is a part of who she is, that is the part that was drawn to Brooks. Brooks, is all those other things that she said about Chris and Drew, and he has just the right amout of edge she needs.
Des did not pay attention to Brooks, when he was telling her about his heartbreak when his father left and about his breakup from his last girlfriend. I think she was just so excited to be with him, and there was just so much chemistry between, she just went head first. Brooks, was gun shy and when Des started showing feelings, and affection to other guys, he did not know how to handle it. Even though this is part of the show, I don't think he thought he would feel so much so fast. This was just not him, and those feelings were strange to him. I am sure if he could have had some friends to bounce those feeling off ,things would have been different. But, of course that is not the nature of the show. And, I do not believe in her wildest dreams Des expected Brooks to leave when he did. She knew how Chris felt and did not have to work at it, and she also knew what she felt when she and Brooks were together. Again, if she had listen to him, she would have been able to see, that Brooks, needed to feel separate from the pack. I know people are going to say well Chris did not need Des to hold his hand, and they are right. Chris was in love before he even met Des and determined to get her.
Des and Chris are together now and it is up to them to make their relationship work, and I believe they will give it 100%. You can not ask for more than that. But, they need to start with sitting down together and watching the entire episode of Des and Brooks breakup. Chris needs to ask the questions he is afraid to ask and Des need to face a hard truth. She did love Brooks, and if things had gone differently she would be with him now. Even answering these questions does not mean they will stay together or not, but, it will make them stronger, and that can make their relationship stronger.
In the final analysis MF got what he wanted, because his lead fell fast and hard, but, did not get the guy. They could put out the rumors, make a story to go with that rumor and dupe RS and all the spoilers at the same time. What a season, the producers are probably stilly toasting their success.

Blah blah blah! Chris was F2 until Des' true F1 bowed out. Simple really. No need for flowery words or explanations. It was what it was.Aunties_Love wrote:I see this is a thought carried by many, but IMO, it was a thing said in the heat of the moment during Brooks breakdown and leaving.
