It sounds like he gave someone a haircut like Brooks.  Am I reading that wrong?

No, you are reading it right.  I read it wrong.  What is a Brooks hair cut though?

I think it's long in the front, short in the back....they mentioned how cool it was on the ESPN Grantland Pop Culture podcast. Commentator, David Jacoby, said Brooks' haircut "blew his mind" and wondered if he had a stylist. LOL.

i just love that look on guys. so attractive. if brooks had some buzz cut i probably wouldn't even think he looked that great. it's all about the hair for some of us. okay, maybe not all...

And the hairy armpits.  I think Brooks is downright beautiful, no matter what—his face and body and voice and ways, and his hair just adds to it. I love his hair.

As for the Chris stuff, I think she wrote the poem out of appreciation for the two Chris had already written to her. The 1on1 time during dodgeball was orchestrated by Chris and TPTB not Des, the sketches I will give you (albeit the same thing Zak did for her). I think she definitely had feelings for Chris - in fact i believe that she was falling for him. But she was already in love with Brooks. However, now yes she seems to be love with Chris. Its easy to fall in love especially when its a great guy like Chris and he loves that much! Time will tell if they will be a successful couple but they seem to have a good shot!

I just thought that it was extremely telling that Des gave Chris the Dodge Ball group date rose instead of Brooks since he was the one that got injured for his efforts.

Not to me...Brooks just had a 1on1. How could she give it him after he had missed half the date and Chris taken her to the roof? That would have been too telling and I doubt she would have been allowed to. I believe even Ali said she would not have been allowed to give it to Brooks. What was telling is that even after her special time with Chris, Des told Brooks she missed him and was disappointed because she was looking forward to it. She even commented that was thinking about Brooks while with the other men.

Guess some still wanna spin it like it was Chris all along bwahahahaha ! Nothing was telling between Des and any of the others guys as compared to Brooks. She chose #2 when #1 bowed out. Plain and simple.

To go along with what I said earlier that it's not a very girl thing to be able to switch from one great love to another like that in the course of five days/two weeks. I also realized just now how little Des fought to keep Brooks. Did she really even try to stop him? I mean, I would've at least tried to work things out and tried to keep him. She just started going whoa is me, no one loves me, okay, go then, what else are you going to do? I wonder what would've happened if she'd actually asked him to stay, showed more love, begged a little. I'm ashamed to say I probably would've begged a little.

I can't believe the people gushing over this great love story. I just dont feel it. But, I hope Desiree really loves him by now. Afterall, in real time, she's had much longer with Chris than she ever did with Brooks. But, I still find it awkward seeing them together. He's cute in his own nerdy way, but I don't find him very sexy. That's up to Des ....I do hope shes happy.

I don't mind Nate's honesty, either. He's only speaking what lot of people have thought. He doesn't seem to be able to contain himself when he sees something that bugs him. My own hub just said he doesn't think Chris and Des will last after I told him that that is so not a girl thing to do, to be "Oh, I want you and to only be with you, waaah!" one day and then turn around five days (or even two weeks) later and say, "Yeah, I'll marry you," to someone else.

Even if someone made the excuse that it was total infatuation for Brooks, infatuation takes a while to wear off, too.

Whether it was infatuation or love, Des said herself that the way she felt for Brooks was on a different level than how she felt for Chris or Drew. Whatever term you want to use, she knew how she felt personally in relation to each of the guys and the way she felt for Brooks didn't compare. I wish her all the best though. I really do hope it works out for her.

I don't think it was telling at all. Des already admitted with every date she went on she WISHED it was with Brooks and we also know she fell for Brooks early. He was on meds and didn't have a chance to shower. I think it was good thing he didn't get that group date. Appropriate actually considering the circumstance.

So why didn't she give the rose? That makes no sense to me. If she was that into Brooks, I would think that she would give him to rose especially after he was injured. jmo

Brooks looks funny after playing Dodgeball in 70s clothes, then going to the hospital and getting all sweaty and medicated.  But somehow you'd still want to kiss him.

She didn't give Brooks the rose for the same reason she couldn't although she wanted to take him on every date. The Producers set up. If giving Chris the rose meant anything , Des would not have told Brooks it was ALL about him an No ONE else. No ONE else! Again, she chose # 2 when #1 bowed out. Nothing was significant about Chris until Brooks bowed out. If Brooks stayed, Chris would have been F2. That was crystal.
