Re: Desiree Hartsock & Chris Siegfried - Media - Discussion
This is funny, Arie sounds like such a woman with that sentiment! ITA with him!
Big: You know, Manhattan has a lot of beautiful women.
Carrie: What an amazing observation!
Big: But the thing is, after awhile, you just wanna be with the one who makes you laugh.

Arie had the best comment for me, too although I don't think any of them summed up what we really saw. Des breaking a pattern of choosing "inexpressive" men who don't love her as much as she does them. It's always interesting reading the thoughts of the contestants, so thank you for posting, Blueberry! Of and everyone is so "shocked" that Brooks didn't come back. Fleiss did better than I expected.

Thanks for posting! I like that she's honest that she doesn't know who would have been F1 if Brooks had stayed. Ultimately everything worked out as it should. She got so lucky it all worked out in her favor!murasaki1393 wrote:not sure whether its been posted yet. Appologize for double posting

you`re welcome, Alanna...ITA with you!...and how Chris been so supportive despite the Brooks saga is beyond me...LOL..He really is a true gem :alltens: . One of the attribute of their relationship is they started as best friend first. It surely helps them survive in this weird circumstances due to the `unusual` ending.Alanna wrote:Thanks for posting! LOVED this interview! Especially the part where Chris talks about their chemistry and "love language." Des was very honest and I love how they are best friends and she seems to know now that they were meant to be together. They both seem so confident that they will stay together forever. Hopeful for these two.

I agree.. but I wish she would stop saying she doesn't know if she would have ended up with Brooks and instead say.. that she hopes she would have seen the light by the end. It has to be hard for Chris to hear that. She is a little insensitive to what she has put him through at times.soccermom333 wrote:LOVED this interview! Agreed, she is sooooo honest. "I dont' know what would've happened if Brooks stayed". That's why there are alot of doubters, I for one AM NOT one of them BUT whatever. The girl is really honest:) I too wish that she would scale that a bit, but it seems that's just the way she is.

Among her last words at the proposal was a statement that she "promised to tell [him] everything," which we ought to assume she did, months ago, back in Antigua, etc. They are so "over" whatever happened during the phase of their relationship when he had to fight for attention, there were cameras in their faces, and manipulating/lying producers (who will now remain their friends for life, remember), all within the agreed social permission of the "game" that is this show. As evidenced by the instantaneous "watch the feet" sign of her move to Seattle, as a couple, they moved past whatever Brooks did or didn't mean to her three months ago ... the public just hasn't caught up yet. She's humoring the questioners, as she must. I doubt Chris could care less about Brooks at this point. He got the girl ... and Brooks was the one who surrendered her to him, after all. Once Des pivoted, all was well.

Exactly! All past contestants had to carry the party line throughout these first batch of post finale interviews. Only months later (and in some cases years) does all the real truth trickle out.jlccaz wrote:Among her last words at the proposal was a statement that she "promised to tell [him] everything," which we ought to assume she did, months ago, back in Antigua, etc. They are so "over" whatever happened during the phase of their relationship when he had to fight for attention, there were cameras in their faces, and manipulating/lying producers (who will now remain their friends for life, remember), all within the agreed social permission of the "game" that is this show. Well said! You have captured exactly what Des and Chris wish they could say without coming across as rude. They realize the viewing public needs to catch up and they are playing along. As time goes on and they settle into their new life together in Seattle, AND Juan Pablo begins his "journey," the focus and sentiment will change. I hope they do find their forever..... Sure anything can happen, but I, like many others, are optimistic and hopeful they will. ;)
On a side not I saw her latest tweet and one of the comments was very rude. At least she has many fans backing her up. I do know that Des and Chris are strong and confident and secure enough in what they have to ignore rude comments from strangers!
