Des and Chris look happy so that is what I will continue to believe. I think with the history of the show (all of them not just the Bach'ette), people are on edge after the fact and an opinion turns into a rumor which then turns into the couple having problems. This isn't always the case but a lot of the time. I won't fall for it unless Des and Chris say otherwise. Based on their actions, I believe they are happy and in love.

We just have to wait and see. The relationship didn't really get to start until after the show ended, and I think there is a lot of pressure starting off a relationship "engaged." Not to mention a big move for Des. I would expect there to be rocks. But if they are meant to be, they will find their way through. If they aren't, then so be it.

Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

What a great article..and such a fine young man..I believe him and DES will be very happy...
“ You’re one loan away from your very own fantasy suite.”

Lol.

I don't know, I've got friends in that business who are good people, and we love our mortgage broker (who we've refi'd with probably a dozen times), but there is also a lot of pressure and it can be a dirty business - not fond of words like aggressive and expansion when talking mortgage lending (used by Mason, not Chris), because its when lenders try to push the envelope that issues arise.

Also mixed feelings about the move to Seattle being a potential deal breaker. I can understand it because of how little time they had spent together at that point, but in real life, career shouldn't trump love. IMHO.

Anyway. They are cute together. Hope it works out.

^^ As with all relationships, the depth of commitment will be what gets them through. Some "engaged" couples (particularly with this franchise) aren't really engaged to be married for a lifetime- they are just "engaged to date" or go steady (witness Courtney and Ben) while others do intend from the start to stay together through thick and thin- the "engagement" is of the more traditional variety. I do believe Chris and Des fall into the second category- because from what I've read of Des, she expects that level of commitment from herself. And I get that vibe from Chris as well. I'm sincerely hoping the best for them.

Hmmm ... All I see is an article in the "Stir" ... which is a website that just "stirs up" rumors to help get clicks and sell ads.

It is a known fact that gossip/tabloid bloggers can and will post rumors on their website just to encourage clicks/revenue.

It also is a known fact that those bloggers like to hang out on this forum to gather content from vocal naysayers of the happy couple or fans who had their hearts set on Des picking someone else as use these posts as their "sources." These trolls should be ignored! They rarely post but instead they just join the forum post season and will have their first post intended to get a convo going about their being problems with the couple. Very suspicious!

All I need to read is the article in Seattle Business Journal PLUS see the photos of Des & CHris from the weekend to know that all is fine.

this 2 weeks old article has important highlight that worth to share, IMO, so here you go :
If you were Chris, how secure would you be in that relationship?
As much as I am in shock with how this all turned out, I've been in a similar situation with "taking Jason back", and in no way are either of Chris or Des's feelings "Wrong." If they truly love each
other, and they can emotionally get past what happened on the show, then that's all that matters. Now is the time for the two of them to move on from their "Bachelor relationship" and start working on their REAL relationship.

Could you do what Des did and just 180 into an engagement?

It did seem like Des did a quick turnaround on her feelings, BUT we are only seeing a small percentage of how it all went down. We have no idea how much time was in between. We don't know how she really felt after calming down from the Brooks departure. Again, we must remember that we are only seeing an edited version of the truth. It seems like she's really happy with her decision, so all we can do is support her and wish them the best!

I agree with you MVMom, just got home from work and not sure what rumor everyone is talking about?? Des has only been there a week and they seem to be settling in just fine. They have been tweeting sweet pictures of them hiking and calling each other "love of my life and Loverr" so not sure what all the panic is about. I do agree that they are engaged or at least seem to be engaged with the intent to marry and not just date. I could be wrong though but they both seem serious about this. no idea  I am still pulling for them and think they have a real shot until I hear it from them! cheerleader

They are definitely "on the rocks" lately (at least Des is!):

giggling giggling giggling

At least we're getting some cute pix out of this showmance! And Des and Chris are getting the perks! Can't be horrible sharing the same apartment with another attractive person!

Gotta say, those are relaxed, happy faces. And usually the showmances are for the professional photogs- not selfies.
