It's too bad that you feel that way. I think it is one thing to share your frustrations in the Brooks fan thread but another to come into the Chris and Des tread and tell us what we should or shouldn't be saying.
 
To answer your question, yes we need many more than 12 pages because they are way too cute and in love. We think they have a good chance to make it. Regardless of what she felt for Brooks on the show, that was 3 months ago. I believe they are in love today and focusing on their relationship.
 
I don't think it is accurate to say she is lying. I really don't feel that it hurts to wish them well. To me, it is better than expecting their relationship to fail. Why not be happy for them for now?

Yes, Des is having revisionist history. But its to protect Chris because they are together and more importantly she loves him, wants to protect his feelings and focus on their relationship going forward. While some believe her, most do not and its has to be hard facing a skeptical media/audience that is questioning your relationship and constantly wants to remind you of where you were emotionally 3 months ago....especially when you have moved on!

While I strongly believe that she picked Chris on May 6th more because he was there and she saw how much he loved her, I honestly believe their love has blossomed and grown post-show. They are look amazing together and I really can't see her with Brooks -- in fact it seems like a mismatch now. Even the staunchest Bres fan would be hard pressed to say these two don't look great together because they do...I wish them the best.

As for why these pages are "needed", its so rare that you get two genuine people that come out of this very artificial process that seem truly in love and have a real shot as a couple. This two seem like they can make it and they ought to be celebrated!!!

My favorite thing about Des and Chris is how quickly they are trying to move into normalcy and real life away from tv and media etc. It's a great approach to take. I hope Desiree finds a career direction in Seattle and that they get a start on a life together so they can honestly assess if this relationship that formed in such a bizarre way should be their forever one.

I have to bet we won't see any tabloid coverage of her moving to Seattle and posing all kissy for paparazzi who just happened to show up at their moving van or coverage of an entire grocery shopping trip. I appreciate that.

I hope they don't rush. I think I would need probably a year to decompress after everything that has happened to Des since she started the Bachelor. It's been a long time since she could just relax and breathe and live her own life on her own terms.

I don't know why she would have to tell everyone that if Brooks had come back in Antigua, she would have chosen him over Chris? What's the point? I think Chris knows he was 2nd choice and the audience definitely knows it too. She essentially got lucky that Brooks didn't show up to mess everything up otherwise she'd be another Jillian situation, breaking up with him over a long, never-ending year together.

Also, she kind of created her own edit here in that during their proposal, she told Chris that she's going to tell him everything and that Brooks tore her heart or whatever. I'm sure the editors caught that right off the bat and the edit with Brooks was born before they even left Antigua. Most importantly, it leads us to believe that Chris already knows what went on so it's not a stretch to me to believe that even though he knows that he was 2nd choice, it doesn't phase him and they've fallen in love along the way now. She doesn't need to announce it to everyone again now (I hope! ). Although I'm shocked at how steady and unflappable and non-jealous he is, Des is a very lucky girl!

Alanna I totally agree with you.  She is a very lucky girl and I am sure she knows it!  They have had three months together and their love has obviously grown from when the show ended.  Her show reminds me of Ashley's, (Bentley) and a little like Ali's, (Frank).  And yes I agree about Jillian!  Ed could have saved Jill a lot of heartbreak if he had stayed away when he left.  I am sure, at least hope, that Chris and Des have talked through this and are driving up to Seattle today and beginning their new life!  

Happy to have found this board!  I said in my first post last night, Brooks and Drew seem like wonderful men, and the decision Des made in choosing Chris was the right one for her.  Ali was right, it was fate!

I haven't posted in a long time but, seriously??? This is a media discussion fan page. This is where pictures of the couple are posted every season. If you didn't want to see this, why would you even come here and look?

Most viewers of "reality" shows understand that the producers manufacture whatever "reality" they need to generate ratings for the show which translates to $$ in their pockets.  Is there anything real about finding everlasting love while traveling all over the world going on over-the-top dates with multiple suitors?  Not in my world.

After 20+ seasons, it's incredible that the producers are still able to elicit such strong responses from people watching the manufactured drama unfold on their tv screens.
