Oh yeah!!
Maybe, that made Chris H mad. Heck, he didn't even tweet to him about using his stupid dating ap.

I still don't get why he was sobbing so much when he broke up with her if he didn't love her though.

Did not listen but it in a frame with the roses that she gave him. It was a sweet thing to do but JMO it lost some of its affect by presenting it there. It should have been something personal.
I agree! It was embarrassing to be there in the audience listening to yet another very personal poem. Des was flattered but also embarrassed.
I think it would've been more affective if Des would've made some grand romantic gesture to Chris, don't you think?
TP/CH pulled out all the stops to oversell this relationship. It would be more believable to me if they didn't do that. It looks like they were all trying a little too hard.
LOL. Was most of the audience excepting Brooks to come back?! Because that's the vibe I got from home. It seemed like the audience would not cooperate with the exception of the one lady and Lesley who said Chris.
I was totally bored by the episode. I think they needed the "will Brooks come back" to hold viewer interest. Beyond the suspense of that, it was really the most dull finale. I still thought she would let Chris go once it was obvious there was no Brooks come-back, so was surprised by the proposal. But not in an "awesome they shocked me" way. More in a "why Des and Chris why" way. I know many found this season boring and last night I saw why, without the excitement of Brooks for me the interactions felt really bland. At 9 I thought ok there's still an hour lots of time for Brooks. But once they started the audience filler for entire segments, I knew there were filling time and it was a no go.

We want it because we are fans of his but it goes against what we like so much about him. I don't think he would be able to date all those women and God knows he would have a hard time breaking up with them!

I think because he felt bad, now. He said he didn't know what to say to make it better. We can take it literally now. He just felt bad for hurting her. CH wasn't lying there.

I think he was sobbing because he is a sensitive, empathic man who hurt because she was hurt and hated being the cause of it. Speaks volume to his integrity in living his truth honestly and courageously. Kudos to him.

He was shuffled off that stage so quick! They simply did not want to spend any more time on Brooks than they needed to. The more time with Brooks, the less believable the Chris/Des relationship would've seemed.

Um, she would have chosen Brooks, no doubt about it.
Probably. But what else is she going to say to the question about what would've happened if Brooks hadn't left, when Chris is sitting there right beside her. But that's why I'm glad that Brooks got out, because she was able to switch like that.
She should've said, no, I would not have chosen Brooks and still would've gone with Chris. This one ambiguous statement by her speaks volumes!
Her answer was pretty shaky....and spoke volumes. Did we see the Kelly and Michael interview. Poor Chris looked embarrassed.
That moment made my heart ache for Chris and really put a damper on Des for me. She should have had a rehearsed line that would be clear, decisive and delivered with confidence (whether true or not). She owes Chris that, IMO. I'm not sure what to make of him in all this. She seemed so in over her head in the media today. I feel for Des too.
Honestly, like when Chantal did interviews instead of the mess that was Brad and Emily, I wish Brooks could have done media today, and let Chris and Des head off into privacy. Not saying they're a mess, just that it is too awkward a situation to address well. Brooks would have been awesome in interviews I bet.

There was one exchange last night between CH and Brooks; don't remember exactly what they were talking about, but possibly about Brooks being wishy-washy or not being able to make a decision. I sensed a irritation from Brooks towards CH's comment - Brooks said something like "yeah, Thanks". I was glad to see him defend himself to CH if only that little bit. If anyone should be called wishy-washy, it's Des going from telling two men within two days that she loves them. I like her, but think she should have told Chris lets date.
