I meant to post a reply and I started a new topic, hope they can clean that up.

Anyway, what I posted was that it looked like he was trying to see if she had a ring just before he sat down on AFTR, and she spent most of the time he was there looking like she was trying to hide it.

It sure did look like she was trying to hide it and I do think is was kinda shocked when she said she was engaged to Chris.

I kind of think that Chris agreeing to not watch Des's journey with Brooks was a trade-off, with her agreeing to move to Seattle in exchange for his not watching.

I can't imagine the questions Chris's family and friends will have about this engagement.  That's going to be tough to overcome when literally millions were watching.  But they still probably have just as good a chance as any other couple coming out of this circus.

Happy Brooks can have his life back now, and I feel like he came out of this looking good.  He and Des seemed to have a good rapport, but for him it didn't extend past friendship.  Wish the best for him.

IzaLurkin, regarding the first bolded statement... I hadn't thought of that, and it could very well be. not that moving to Seattle would be horrible, but there are more overcast days than sunny ones, and apparently Des gets down when it's cloudy.

regarding the second, underlined statement, I shudder to think what his mom and sister really think. his dad will just do an adjustment to "clear her thoughts" if needed and Chris can have his sinus adjustment.  e[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

and then the last statement I colored red... I agree, I am so glad that Brooks can have his life back. he only has to get thru a few weeks of interviews and such then can ease back to those things that bring a smile to his face.

Who knows. He might've been nervous that she was still single, because he seemed relieved that she was engaged. Maybe he was afraid that she'd come chasing after him again, or that she'd say "I stayed single for you." He seemed nervous.

I've read through the last 3 pages of posts, and feel like I learned a heck of a lot about this show, and maybe a little something about male-female dynamics.

I'll just throw my own opinions out there:

1. Desiree is in no way over Brooks. Evidence includes:

a. D hiding her ring by folding her hands (also a defensive gesture to protect her feelings)

b. looking away with a look of chagrin when Brooks says he saw how she looked at chris

c. D continuing to ask about his feelings even after her engagement

d. D snarking at Brooks saying things went really well after he left

And I think most tellingly, D touched Brooks arm twice, then touched her heart. Very obvious body language in my opinion.

2. I do agree that if these two had the opportunity to get to know each other outside of the ridiculous 10 weeks to proposal time frame, they could've gotten along famously.

3. But it wasn't just the show's format which was the problem: D's desperation to get married, literally with anyone, was far too obvious. Her first date idea (bridal salon) tipped her hand to an embarrassing degree.

Brooks might have felt cornered and trapped by D's single mindedness and over=riding ambition to get married.

I'm expecting a baby girl in February! I will just say that she was conceived around the same time Brooks' and Des' first date was aired. :Hugesmile:just sayin'

first... love and congratulations to agentcurls on the baby girl.  I have a grand niece named Brooke, so... I wish you all the health and stamina you will need to get thru the next months. babies are blessings and proof that life and love is the most important thing, proof of a higher power's love in my book. my prayers are with you and your family as you build your nest.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] at the risk of getting banned for life (who cares at this point) Aunties_Love if you don't have something positive to say in this thread :: Brooks Forester Fan Forum :: then go someplace else to voice your "opinions" cause I'm not interested in hearing them.  I listened to your "expert" opinions enough on the spoiler threads, and at one point asked you to just foe me if you had a problem with my posts.  same thing for "lovinlife"... this is a fan thread for Brooks Forester, not a platform for you to come in here and tell he how I should feel and interpret what I saw all season, in the finale, or after the fact today in the interviews. feel free to head over to the Brooks Forester Spoiler page for that, only don't expect to see me over there to feed on your nastiness.

now that all being said... I have never been so proud of any one more than I am of Brooks Forester.  he has handled all the questions and dribble with such dignity and grace. when he finds that girl that melts his heart and jumbles his brain, we are going to see fireworks from him. I only wish we could all have a front seat to see that happen, but I bless the ground he walks on for not considering the bachelor. I am all over this series, doubt seriously I will watch JuanP. my heart continues to break for Des and Chris... I don't think they understand what a tangled web they are in by not being truthful and upfront. as difficult as hearing the truth might be, it is the only way, by putting it on the back burner it will just simmer and soon boil over. it was obvious to me last night that there are still feelings between Des and Brooks, and just like another couple that hooked me from the start, I believe those feelings will stay there no matter where life leads them.

well, I will hush my mouth now, and wait for Love_me or San to send me on my way.  enjoy your time here just in case that really happens. I think this is one of my favorite sayings and it is so apropos on this board...

gator~breathe in...breathe out. I know emotions are running high right now, but please don't let what someone else thinks or says effect you to the point where you respond with disrespect. The "Foe" button works wonders and that's what it's for. I understand you are frustrated and venting, but it's not worth the price. I don't want you to be banned from this site, but Love and San have to have a set of rules on how we treat each other or the bashing would be worse than a WWF wrestling match. It's been that way before and they had to shut down threads so no one could post in them.

Let's please not comment or respond to disrespectful posts. Just pass by them or Foe the people making them. I love you all and don't want anyone to get banned for responding to someone else's post. :campfire:
