Wow, the finale was a brutal one for a Bres fan to watch!  I kept watching the clock and as soon as it hit the last 20 minutes I knew Brooks was not coming back.  I kept holding on to the spoilers even when we had no facts backing them up - I questioned everything that Atem and others did, but then I would reassure myself with spoilers backup and then read something in the Chris or Drew thread that made me doubt and so on.  The thing that did bother me when looking back on things was a foreshadowing on Bres' first one and one on the Hollywood Sign - Des made a comment that she was not afraid to get her heart broken because that just it was not the right person.  I thought about before the show and then pushed it aside again.  Anyway, I think I am officially through with the franchise - I had not watched since Brad 2.0 and only came back when I figured it would be fun to watch some eye candy - did not know anything about Des since I did not watch Sean's season.  I watched and was spoiled by Brooks being F1, liked what I saw and continued to watch to see the love story.

Anyway, good luck to Des and Chris and best of luck to Brooks and Drew - hope all find happiness in the real world.

I stopped watching after Jillian and then watched some of Ali's and some of Ashley's season. After that, I could have cared less about this show. I truly cannot stand the people who run it with a passion as I do with RS.

I think Chris Harrison knew how in love Desiree was in with Brooks and is still bitter about that. Don't you? I don't get his anger over it. You would think he'd be praising him all over the place with him not proposing to Desiree just to 'win'.

Don't you think it is wrong for the show to plant false stories in the media? They did that with WetPaint, US, InTouch, Life and Style...

What was your reaction when he first walked out. I noticed the crowd reacted strongly. Was it that he is really attractive?

I was expecting more than 5 minutes of Brooks last night so will take any bits I can get.

The second point I have, regarding the spoilers, is how would that show have been edited differently if there were no spoilers? I still think the most riveting hour was the breakup. So I'm not entirely convinced that the edit would be that different.

Yes remembering being on the boards during Jason's season and that was brutal - we had the right F1 but gosh were we wrong about that outcome!

I think it may have been edited differently - they spent so much on Brooks and kind of pushed Chris and others even Des at times to a supporting player especially the prior 3 episodes. They made it all about the Brooks and Des love story/journey making the spoiler of Brooks as F1 all the more plausible IMO. Well MF got his wish, just at expense of others. Brooks probably felt like Chantal the year she was spoiled F1.

This show never learns and always focuses on the fake drama way too long.

Desiree and Chris do not make for good tv. Sorry, they don't. They needed the storyline of Brooks possibly coming back to get people to keep watching.

He was so very attractive! And the sexual energy between Des and Brooks was palpable! It was a much different energy than Chris. I still see " something " there with them. With Chris I saw a different " something". More of an innocent, safe, and comforting "love" ? I don't know they can call it that just yet. But CH was uncomfortable with the energy between Brooks and Des and he was really just speeding things along, I felt.

I sure wish he'd do a tv interview.  Does the show prohibit him from doing it?

Isn't that bad?! The thing I'm MOST upset about regarding Brooks not being F1 is the interviews!!! I wanted to see him on GMA and Regis so that we could get witty, charming Brooks that we missed out on during the show. I don't really care that much about the "happy couple". More Brooks, please!!!!
