And 2boys3girls, I wish I could claim it but Lady Veneers was the brilliance of another poster from the Emily season.. Can't recall who but it's the best snarky nic I've seen for a contestant yet!

I think Lady Veneers came from that blogger, LostAngeles.  He's hysterical!  Have you read him this season?  His moniker for Brooks is Lady Tom Brady.  :P

I was as skeptical as many others about a happy ending for Des and Brooks after Monday night. CH comments have not been flattering about Brooks as a potential F1 at this point.

So I did a little digging outside the boards with " friends".


And it was confirmed that "Des and Brooks ARE in fact together and as of today happy "still". Didn't hear if they are engaged , so I don't know if they are or not.

So the spoilers, wet paint, and RS ARE right -
(as much as it pains me to say that about RS). Biggrin:

Much as I think Chris is a great guy - I am suspect that Des picks Chris as the F1. I think he is the back-up - the one who goes along with the story, is perfect for her etc. Kind of like Chris L was for Ali - and Melissa R was for Jason (remember the wish to be a kindergarten teacher or stay home and take care of the kids when she had them ?) and the one the viewers love. Set up for next bach maybe? The reason I say this is that when Des asked Chris what he wanted out of this he said he wanted to be in a relationship. This is exactly what Des had said earlier to Chris H. They both love sports, being active, he is funny - she laughs hysterically with him. He writes poetry - she writes poetry etc. It's all so perfect. The suntan application reminded me of Ben with Ashley - too up close and personal - Chris did not seem relaxed at all. I think it's all scripted. Chris has got to have seen what was going on with Brooks and Des. The producers need to have someone to carry the show along. What if everyone except the intended F1 left ? In her poem Des wants Chris to have a place in her heart (in other words remember what we have been through in this adventure - but not necessarily love). She toasts him and thanks him for his support (not very lovey dovey). She tells Chris' father - Chris is a great guy. Again not very smitten. I know all of this could be because she was in love with Brooks. But I think a leap to Chris is unlikely.
The other thing - Des was asked by the Catherine and the other girls - who was the best kisser? Des said Drew. With all the voice overs I would think they would have changed that to Brooks if he was the final one. I am wondering if somehow (and it would be out of left field because I have seen nothing of falling for Drew on Des' part) Drew is told by Des about her feelings for Brooks etc but he persists and convinces her. He moves to L.A.(maybe abc got him a job ?) and they're supposedly engaged... Not sure if I could buy this scenario but it would be a weird ending. He was first out of the limos on M&G night - he had the rose petals all over the bed. If Drew is the F1 - that would be a surprise for sure !

People DO have sources. At times they pass info along. I can say with certainty that those who have passed info from sources here this year, I believe.

I just get the feeling she is with no one. Why is it that last season there were tons of clues (post FRC filming) that Jef and Emily were together. There is nothing this time...unless Fleiss is really trying hard to hide it. also did any of these people who got from their sources that Brooks was F1..did they know about Brooks leaving situation? I feel like no one really confirmed this happened...Reality Steve sure didn't know about it...it just makes you not trust these sources totally anymore.

Raise your hand if you think that Brooks said a lot more than we were shown on Monday and they just chose to show us all the negative stuff.. 


but that we'll see him say things like how much he loves her when they're together but how doubts creep in when they're apart... and how once they said their final goodbye.. that's when he realized he didn't want to walk away, how he wanted to pursue a relationship with her.  This is a heavily edited show, and IMO Brooks showed way more emotion than a guy breaking up with a girl would if the reason was that he could never love her.  And as to CH's blog and words... he works for the machine.. and if he's told to play up that Brooks is gone for good (which we know from Des's blog is not true) then that's what he's going to do.  I think that door is wide open for Des and Brooks to be together but closed shut for Des to choose Chris or Drew.  It's Brooks or Bust for Des.. simple as that.
