What about Des' brother Nate making the comment that this doesn't turn out good or something to that effect when Chris H. is walking Brooks down the hall and Nate is lurking to the side.

Here's my take on why I think Brooks may be th F1 and the spoiler that was given to the audience on the HTD episode. Looking back at Ali and Ashley season there was always an episode that gave who the F1 was before the FRC. In Ali's season it was the Lion King date. When the guys where gointg thru the stage door the camera pan to the no. 1 over the door right at the time Roberto passed thru, it was guick but there, also, the winner of that date would be performing on that stage, and we all know Roberto was the one who performed with Ali, and her F1. With Ashley, she just about told JP he was the one in episode six Hong Kong. When she told him the reason she wanted him to know about Bentley so that when everything was over he would know what had really happened. (meaning the show) Now for Des.

These are mostly VO sometimes you see her say and sometimes it said over different guys. On her sit down with CH right before the RC she tells Chris: "HTDs went well, I would be lucky to be in any one of those families" They chat about some of the dates and Chris ask her again about her feelings for Brooks and again she express that she loves Brooks, but, he has not told her that he loves her yet. She also told Chris that she is not worried about hearing it from Brooks as long as she feels it from him.
Chris S. has no problems telling her and showing her. Drew said it to her on their date very boldly. And Zak said it to her and gave her a promise ring. Chris H then told her that she just had all the guys falling at her feet. They finished their conversation and he left to escort the guys in.

This is the part that I find interesting, This is all said by Des as Chris H is escorting the guys to the RC room.

Des standing in the viewing room looking at all five pictures of the guys. Des: "I don't think anyone of them is expecting a good bye and that makes it harder. The decision I am going to make tonight is going to be difficult. I am at a stage where I am in a relationship with these guys and I have strong feelings. I am feeling for them and they have expressed their feelings for me, so it is going to be really hard for me to say good bye to someone and break their heart potentially". At the same time she is sayng this they show Chris walking int the door being welcomed by CH. Camera then goes back to Des and she is holding the picture of Drew while she was making that statement.

Des: now holding Chris picture, "I wanted everyone from the beginning to take it seriously and to really think about if I am going to be the right girl for them, and now that we are at this point when the guys are taking it seriously adds more pressure ." (Drew walking in hotel) Camera really zero in on him at the taking it seriously adds more pressure mark.

Back in the viewing room while holding Drews' picture, but saying
"the person going home tonight will be completely shocked. It is not about getting to know one another anymore, it is really about can we make this work in the future, can we make this work day to day and finding out who is going to be best for me."

Holding Zak picture in viewing room, but saying as Brooks walks in "I am here for one man and one man alone. At the end of this I will be one happy girl there is nothing holding me back from finding my husband "(Full view of Brooks and CH walking from door to elevator/room) Right as she says "nothing holding me back from finding my husband" camera span to Nate behind a post watching Brooks and CH walking in. She never picks up Brooks picture or least it is never shown.

It may mean somethng or it may mean nothing. But, I just thought it was interesting. :Smiley:

If we're going to go by what you are implying then it points to Drew being f1, and I don't think so.

During one of the later RC (after Bentley left )Ashley said that she could see her husband in the room for the first time. The only guy who had a rose on the room that night was JP (after the groom picture date).
The first time Des stated that "she was falling" was in Barcelona. Drew was the only one in the RC room that night with a rose.
Could be nothing, but I'm trying to plug in your analogy.

I am only stating what was said and what was shown. I am sure it can be taken many ways. Just another way of looking at it.

I wasn't criticizing you. I think you made some valid points. I was trying to extrapolate the f1, and I recalled the bold statement that Ashley said about seeing her husband in the room, because we had a conversation about it on another board. During Ashley's season MF said that there was a HINT as to who the f1 was. He pretty much said it after that particular episode. People were saying where was the hint. I picked up on it THAT night when Ashley spoke. To me it was obvious with JP being the only one with a rose that RC night, and Ashley saying it for the first time...

Des said that she was "falling" for the first time during the RC when Drew had the only rose(Barcelona). Brooks did not have a date that night. That was the night James went home, I believe.

Still ruminating…

I know we’re all focused on Brooks… but CH has said that the ending comes out of left field. If everyone believes it’s going to be Brooks (and many of you have said that even casual fans you know think it’s going to be Brooks…) that wouldn’t be out of left field, would it?

Based on SCs I think we are being led to assume that Des lets Drew go and may also let Chris go… thus causing the bonfire, and the story thread that she may be left alone in the end, etc…

But would a possible ending include Chris/Drew returning in spite of her rejection to try and work it out with Des?

He never said the ending comes out of left field. He said it comes out of left field. Maybe he's not talking about the moment she chooses someone. Maybe that doesn't come out of left field (Brooks). But maybe the route to get there does.

Really? I only talked to two but both think it's Brooks and one said Brooks but was torn between him & Drew.

MF does say the ending comes out of left field. Here is his quote:
