Season 9, Episode 11

Episode Synopsis: Desiree meets with her two remaining suitors and makes her decision in the Season 9 conclusion. Original Air Date: Aug 5, 2013

I throw some questions out there on another thread to get the sluethers going cause with the previews there is definitely something different. They show us clips of Brad 1 rejecting DeAnna, Jason with the switch and so on. Now we have this write up. Come on lets get to thinking. I already said I believe she sends Drew and Chris home, just trying to figure out when. As for Brooks that guy loves that girl, he wouldn't be crying. Its scary for him, love will do that for you when it happens so fast. It doesn't take a lot of dates to make it happen, when it hit you it hits you, when its the one its the one, plain and smiple.

To me, it appears they are hyping up what happens Monday with Brooks and Des. He leaves.
Ha I know it sounds simple, but it is.
Each of the little snips shows someone being rejected and someone leaving. This is what they are portending for Monday's episode. They are not previewing anything except what we are going to see on Monday and that will be Brooks' talk with Des and his departure. The easiest way to think it: Ali and Frank. He talks with her, he leaves and she freaks.

I got a question for everyone;  Do you think the producers would have something on any of the guys, with hold it till the drama towards the end of the journey makes it the right timing(in this case Brooks)then swing things to make Brooks feel he has to tell Des himself?

I am really wondering if there is something in Brooks's history that he hasn't told Des about that could really affect her decision of keeping him or not.  When Chris H or producers find out about it, that is when Chris comes to Brooks and says that he's got to tell Des?

regarding your question... no I don't think there is something in Books past that they are holding and getting ready to side swipe him with it.  we don't know for sure what happens, and wont until Monday at 8pm.  even then we might not know the details until Aug 5 at 8pm.  all the speculating in the world wont make it so.  we can come up with scenarios that might be, but honestly those that know have not told us, and those who have told us don't know.

Ok, ANY of the guys then.  The point is, would the machine do that??

Remember the machine did this during Emily's season re Arie - leak to the press at the start of the season that Arie had dated Cassie L, then bring it up to Emily midseason as part of the storyline of how Emily develops mistrust in Arie and transitions to Jef. (Just talking Storyline here, not necessarily Em's actual feelings.)

The machine could do the same with the info that Brooks "cheated" on his exgf with the older woman in Mexico on an NYE. It might not be coincidental that this piece of info was leaked to us midseason, fresh enough to remember when CH has a sitdown with Des to tell her that "we have evidence that Brooks cheated on a prior gf". Just like Bryden's leaving might have been a foreshadowing of Brooks' eventual storyline, Brian's exgf situation might have also been a foreshadowing of sorts.

(I put quotes around "cheated" because as far as I know, we don't know if he actually cheated on a current relationship with that NYE makeout session.)

The producers always know everything. Whether they choose to expose it or not is a different matter. Even when they don't expose it in the tradition sense (Brian with the girlfriend), they may edit the person in a negative light (Ed and the fireworks)...symbolically displaying their displeasure and thoughts about the future of the relationship. Although I don't think they would force someone to confess ... more likely, they would blindside them with the truth for dramatic effect. And if they don't have any drama, well then they stir things up or just edit stuff in even if it didn't happen. So to answer your question ... would the machine do that .... YES!!! And a lot more and a lot worse!!!

I don't think Brooks has anything to be ashamed of from his past. I think his only problem is the two other guys ..he's probably afraid of being blindsided in the end ..He's just terrified.

And the other two aren't equally as afraid? They didn't up and leave. They stuck it out knowing the possibility of being hurt in the end was there.

IMO, there isn't a way to really make Brooks look good in this situation. He got scared and ran. No matter how much groveling and begging and professing of love he does to get back on the show, many won't forget he left in the first place.

well, i must cheer you on, umngirl. . you are spot on!..who said Chris is not afraid??.....he is being reserved up until episode 5. from there, he is slowly but certainly opening his heart and start to trust Des and the process. yet, God knows how much he sweat and rubbed his eyes due to nervousness for declaring his love for Des. He is afraid to getting hurt again (as his last relationship did to him) yet managed to put himself all together and take his chance in this crazy env. I give props for him to do that. The same goes with Drew.

ITA, Kasha. I think the difference is that Ali sucked it up and moved on faster so they were able to have a more normal RC.

. Can't assume anything...we haven't even seen the finale yet. We do know Zak was confident he was her F1 .....Oops!! He said he was totally.shocked when he was eliminated.
