I get Brooks because I am an over-analyst myself, but I also understand that, while it is okay to be nervous, there should be no doubts or questions.

I love these posts. I do think it's the circumstances and nature of the "process" that is causing his fear and doubt. I hope that. He even talked to his mom about it being scary to be vulnerable and figuring out he has walls up around his heart - so I think he really is trying to look deep within himself and understand where his resistance is coming from. I think it's fascinating and refreshing to watch. I really do think it's how many of us would feel in the same situation and how many other contestants have felt, without verbalizing it. And I'm not saying it means his feelings are more valid than Chris or Drew, just that he is taking a very unique approach for this show and that doesn't mean it's a bad one. Quite the opposite to me - the best one - as much as I hate to see Desiree so upset.

If it is really his depth or strength of feelings for Desiree that are holding him back he should tell her that. At some point he has to take that leap of faith and it looks like seeing her reaction to what he tells her, plus the realization that he'll lose her for good by pulling out jolts him into doing that.

I already said I believe she sends Drew and Chris home, just trying to figure out when. As for Brooks that guy loves that girl, he wouldn't be crying. Its scary for him, love will do that for you when it happens so fast. It doesn't take a lot of dates to make it happen, when it hit you it hits you, when its the one its the one, plain and smiple.

That would fulfill Brooks's statement earlier that there might be no one left at the end. He's "gone" and Drew and Chris are sent home. No one left.....until he appears again.

This is so fun..Love your theories ..I totally believe there's producer manipulation in this because I remember back when Bryden eliminated himself, and Des was speaking with Chris Harrison just before the RC ..he asked her how she would feel in the end if she became so invested in a man who would leave her later in the season...she said she would be devastated. Everybody knows 3 guys have told her they love her while Brooks has not ...So, I think some of TPTB have totally played mind games with Brooks . You can't go from such sweet loving tenderness he displayed on the HTD to end up with them both crying inconsolably for nothing.....This is not right ..I really hate this cliff hanger, though. Even though I know they will end up together in the end, It's driving me crazy wondering just how it will happen. #*#@! YIKES !! :pullouthair:

I am really wondering if there is something in Brooks's history that he hasn't told Des about that could really affect her decision of keeping him or not. When Chris H or producers find out about it, that is when Chris comes to Brooks and says that he's got to tell Des?
