To me, Brooks didn't seem conflicted in his feelings towards Des. Brooks stated he had given it alot of thought and knew that he wasn't in love with Des. He knew what it felt like to be in love and he didn't feel it with Des. He also said that he tried to fall in love with Des, and it just didn't happen. However, he was very conflicted on how he would tell Des that it's over. He didn't know that she was in love with him which made it even worse.

I agree with this. I just don't see Brooks coming back after that and if he does, how does it sound and feel genuine especially after his talk with Chris Harrison. So the question is; can she get over it and move on with someone else, does she find a way to open her heart and find the thing that has been with her all along in Chris or Drew??

Well, actually they weren't if you are talking about this season. He had Drew and Zack W wrong as well as a few other things. If you are talking about past seasons, they were wrong there too.

The back and forth with Chris H was interesting, most of Chris's "tough" questions were 1 shots and could have been filmed later.

Do I think he comes back and actually gets down on one knee and pops the question, Have no clue. Do I think he does love her? Yes.

I think TPTB worked overtime to make him doubt that Des was falling for him. He mentioned a few weeks back that he was falling and it bothered him seeing her with some of the other guys.

That's where I'm at too. Brooks had insecurities and tptb fed them, played it up to get their drama. I think it's going to come back to what Brooks brother said to him on HTD's about if he could live without her or something to that effect. Now that he knows how she feels, which was the unknown that fed his insecurities in the first place, coupled with what he said about how he felt when he was with her, the feelings could have come back... especially if tptb were now feeding him stuff about how much she loves him and how happy they could be together blah blah blah.... I can totally see him coming back after a few days and saying he's ready to commit to working on a relationship with her.

I think for me, maybe I would feel different if he'd have had a different reaction to her saying I love you.... his immediate reaction was one of disbelief and a why didn't you tell me that sooner. Also the last relationship that he was in, he was ready to get married, but she broke it off. In the back of his mind he could be afraid of a repeat of that so held back, afraid that history was going to repeat itself. Also his dad leaving leaves scars that effect how we feel about relationships.

I'll wait to see how this all plays out, but if Brooks came back and she takes him back, I'd wish them well and hope they can make a go of it in the real world. If not, I'd rather it end quietly and with not as much fanfare as there was last night. That was gut wrenching, felt so bad for her, and with a camera there to witness it all, that had to sting. I can respect that he told her how he felt and didn't play the game, even though without him realizing, he was more than likely just a pawn for tptb and an unwitting player in somebody else's game.

I feel bad for Chris and Drew for having to have to watch that last night. Mostly for Chris though as I think he really had deep feelings for her. Drew I think was more about winning the girl, so I think he bounced back much quicker than Chris. Chris is more like Arie I think, in that he may have still had hope after he left, and Drew is like Sean and over it about a day or two after he was home.

Did anyone else think "Wow, I she has amazingly-waterproof mascara!" when watching?!? Couldn't believe with all that crying she didn't look like a mess.

And I'm also wondering if one of her bracelets is a match for that "coil" thing in the Brooks crying cap that we have been analyzing to death....

Putting my thoughts here too...I think Brooks does come back but to make her choice of F1 plausible she will need to reject HIM now. This sucks. I will be f-en livid because he should have just stayed away. Because why let Chris pick out a ring and show up to FRC if Brooks is back and thats who she wants?

All the sympathy she has garnered all night will go completely out the window and she will be ripped apart for picking Brooks at the end. She will look weak and pushover. And kinda stupid, especially after Brooks says he doesn't love her and doesn't think he ever will. It doesn't make sense.

But you've got to hand it to MF...he is able to craft a season that will keep people coming back to watch even when it's a snoozefest.

Oh I am not saying it going to believable just make more plausible....but yeah default. However, I think most viewers just want to see a happy ending and just want to see her happy. If she picks "poetry guy" (what my friend calls him) great! She got her happy ending.
