I'm bringing this over from another thread because it fits better here!

A story has five basic but important elements. These five components are: the characters, the setting, the plot, the conflict, and the resolution. These essential elements keep the story running smoothly and allow the action to develop in a logical way that the viewer can follow.

When you have a show like TB where they want to keep you guessing until the end, they throw out all kinds of possible resolutions to the conflict so we can debate and keep talking about the show.

The conflict is clearly that Des is in love with the one guy that cannot commit to her and tell her he loves her back.

Bee , I love up your insights ! I'm a novice at this. I'm from a message board not a board designed for sleuthing. You hang around the best and you're apt to learn something. CH's last comments after the preview from MTA said ok start discussing! They know that they are playing with us. We know there is only ONE love story being told and the others no matter how much TPTB magnify it, are side stories. There is only ONE crescendo. Again, thank you.

Is it similar to Frank's conflict with Ali?  People didn't think there was a conflict arc for Roberto.  The conflict with Roberto for Ali was he too pretty for her, would she stand a chance in a normal setting with Roberto.  Other than that, Frank had the conflict during Ali's season.   

Chris I'm not sure but we have seen previews of the beach scene with Des and Drew so there is some conflic there. Does that get resolved or it that the end of the line for Drew ? But conflict there is.

Don't know where it is at. But someone posted that in previews earlier and now about the situation with Drew and Des. The wording has been changed. Editing making you believe one thing over another. Who knows what was actually said. We'll soon find out.

Bubba, posted the other day. Casting for Sweet Home Alabama. So they must be going to film another one. Yay, liked that show alot. Loved Secret Princes as well. Looks like Jasmine and Robert are still staying in touch. She was just with him and Francisco in Miami, and booked flights for Italy and Spain.

This is all going down as planned by TPTB script for this season. If you listen to words and watch closely you can see it fall into place.

Brooks HTD his brothers talk about (not per word) if you find someone and let them go. You will do anything to get them back. (Brooks leaving and coming back).
Brooks saying he regrets what he's done something like that.

Des's brother spying on Brooks. Then vo, this is all gonna go bad for her.

Right along with the script for the ending.

This reminded me of Brooks saying, "There might not be anyone left at the end." (Something like that.) Is that foreshadowing? IDK How do we draw a line between foreshadowing and just being left in to distract us?

The dynamics are very interesting when you think about it.
All of the 4 involved(Des, Brooks, Chris, Drew) are all adults in their mid-late 20's, so can be assumed mature adults with past dating histories.
Now put them in this dating experiment--the bubble. What would you do --not being in the bubble--as an objective variable if you were in the mix? And what will each do being in the bubble?
I don't have a favorite in the mix, so I am interested in see how each handles it and what it ends up after real life takes over and the bubble pops.
I think if it were me--and I was Drew/Chris and Brooks stays--that would be it for me. Game over. I may go along with what TPTB insisted if the contract specified it, but my heart would be out.
If I were Des, and Brooks put me through a wishy washy--it would not portent well for the relationship long term. I don't know if I would have the strength in the bubble to oust him, but I know once back in real life it would weigh heavy on my heart. I want someone to want me, for me, to know their own heart and not have to check it out with momma and sissy first. Hopefully, that will change.

Very good and logical points there Kasha!  If Brooks is being wishy washy, IF it were me in Des's shoes, AND I knew that there were 2 other guys that stood by me through this AND were very forthcoming with loving me, IF my feelings were strong for either/both of those two, I would give them a chance.  Why am I going to continue to fall in love with the ones that don't love me back the way I want to be loved?  IMO, if she took Brooks back, one thing that may be the problem is in the back of my mind, I may think "Is he going to bail again when the going gets tough"?

Going gets tough?? Your premise is exactly correct but, so far, Brooks has not had anything get tough!! If needing your mommy and sissy to help you with a girl is tough, then just imagine how he would bail when there was legitimate trouble!! STAY FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY, Des!!

When I was younger, I had been in that position. It turned out the way I was afraid of too. Now I am with someone like Chris/Drew that has stuck by me so it is still a thought that I had that may be the premise of what's going to happen in the finale.

Actually seeing Des with the last three guys. I think she is best suited to Drew. They remind me of another Ashley and JP. When rewatching their dates. There is alot of chemistry there. And the physical attraction is quit obvious. Even at his home town date. She has both hands on his. Not like the other dates where they are just holding hands. I also noticed that she initiates the kisses with Drew alot as well as Drew doing so. It's cute, it is like they can't get enough of each other.

ITA. And it's completly reciprocal. The seduction body language has been strong. I guess the hot FD will be with Drew especially with the press release speaking about "reserved man" (typical TPTB audience distraction).

^^ yes, I think Des is physically attracted to Drew. In fact, she has told us how good looking she thinks his but I don't see much more beyond that. She certainly doesn't have the emotional connection I see with Brooks and sometimes with Chris.
