I don't have a problem with Brooks' realization that he is not ready for this kind of a quickie commitment. If he goes, I would even congratulate him for giving Des a chance to find a fiance, a definite NEED for her. Both remaining guys are awesome men and could fill the role with aplomb. I would, however, find it pathetic if he left (for whatever reason) and then returned and Des still chose him in the end. That flies in the face of Des' need for loyalty and "stick-to-it-iveness" as a cornerstone of a marriage.

But true love doesn't work that way. Love is complicated, as Des has stated. You don't go with the guy who sticks right by you if that guy isn't the right one for you. Love isn't logical sometimes no idea

Then she should decline to make a choice if her "intended" is not thinking the way she hopes. She surely doesn't need to pick anyone. Love may not be logical, but a smart woman doesn't need to set herself up for disappointment just because the guy gets her all hot and bothered. Who knows?? They are both just kids and haven't learned enough from experiences. Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs...

Agentcurls, I totally agree. After all Des has said about Brooks, she loves him and wants him to propose, if he would leave for some reason would she pick someone else? No way would that happen. I don't care how wonderful the other two guys are. And if I were F2 I wouldn't want her to pick me if the one she loved was Brooks and I was her 2nd choice. Her F1 (I think it's Brooks) or she walks away and won't settle.

On that note, I'm trying to keep positive and hope Brooks comes through for her in the end. I really do think they make a great couple.

This is a perfect example of self-respect. I hope that she garners some if she finds that her love is not returned by the one she requests.

I can't imagine Desiree accepting a proposal from anybody she is unable to give her whole heart to ,and I think that's how she will express her decision to her F2. I think she would go home alone rather than settle. I still believe no matter what happens..she will end up with Brooks.. They love each other too much not to let it happen. That's just me...I haven't read the tabloids..I never do.

LLiza...I agree. I think Brooks and Des will go through some turmoil, they resolve it and he is there for her at the end. If it's not the man she loves (Brooks) she will walk away and not settle.
