I think she's got adventure and spontaneity covered. I think Courtney could use someone more like Drew...perhaps some of his warm and kindhearted spirit could make her into a nicer person. Not to mention they are both from AZ!

Courtney just moved in with her boyfriend, one which she dated before her appearance on the Bachelor, so it looks like she is taken.

But I definitely agree about the original point that this season feels like Ben's, except at least Courtney was entertaining. This season, not so much.

Aunties_Love, you are right. Des being with Brooks at the end is just what I believe will happen. I could be totally wrong and if I am I will be disappointed. I think those two together would be a wonderful love story....but that's just me. I know there are many people hoping for a different ending and will be disappointed if Des chooses Brooks. Most of all I hope Des is happy, she deserves to be.

Sorry, what am I right about....for a change.    I am really wondering about how she could take Brooks back again, especially since he left and she missed out on time with him.  This being of course if he shows up at the FRC only, which I am suspicious that it may be the way it goes.

I still don't think he's the one that leaves, or at least not by his choice. I think she breaks it off when he tells her something she doesn't want to hear (like he's not ready to propose yet).

Whatever happens though, I'm finding it all very entertaining... yikes, I think I just sounded like MF there...

I find Des to be an honest person and when she says she is/was falling in love with Chris, I  do believe her. In fact, several times this season I have thought that Chris could be a legitimate threat to Brooks (and will still hold my breathe on finale night). I think she kept an open heart and open mind as best she could but in the end her feelings for Brooks could not be matched.  In contrast, I don't think Lindzy (or anyone else) EVER stood a chance against Courtney.

I agree with this! I haven't posted or checked this site much this season b/c I tried to avoid spoilers BUT after the 1st few episodes I clearly knew she had "it" for Brooks. As someone who has watched (almost) every season this was a HUGE red flag for me. The episode where she and CH had a fireside chat & she said she was in love with & saw a happy ending with Brooks was another red flag. No way MF is gonna let it out just like that. Something obviously goes down with him or they would have left that part on the cutting room floor. I am certain this has been picked apart on threads across the forum but I believe that despite her being so hooked on Brooks she is a woman thinking with her heart & head so I personally don't believe either that she isn't giving Chris a fighting chance. Ben only thought with his little head and was horrible at playing the part when it came to the other women. Des seems sincere IMO and by this point should have at least somewhat strong feelings for Chris. JMO of course   I missed you guys!!

This is reminding me so much of Ben's season right now especially if Des really only gave Brooks a chance. They both got early epi 2 dates and the leads were gaga about them from the start. I'm not saying Brooks is the villain like Courtney was but I'm not sure Des gave anyone else a chance and she may regret that. Hopefully she's happy and it works out for her.

I think the difference is that at least Des was able to show some real interest in the other guys.  She did enjoy being with both Drew and Chris. You can't fake body language and hers with Drew was unbelievable! She sure enjoyed kissing the guys. I thought that Ben was basically sleep walking through his whole season once he settled on Courtney early on.  He couldn't even try to fake interest with the other F3. That made it like watching paint dry!

Also, Courtney was the villain of the piece, as you said. The drama was centered around her. Would Ben pick the girl that everyone loved to hate? He had some great girls, but they never stood a chance.

I will just say that Des appears to have settled on Brooks very early on, much the way Ben did. But at least she did have some decent interactions with the other F3.  The question is did she ever really open her heart up to them? I am thinking no at this point. However, she certainly liked being with Drew and kissing him. I guess it could be considered infatuation.  

I am at a point where I would prefer it to be Brooks. I can't imagine what Drew and Chris are thinking watching this play out. Hopefully they both have moved on, but it would still be uncomfortable for them to see that it was Brooks all along.  This is the part of the season where I get queasy watching the F3. I know they signed up for it and all that, but I never like seeing people blindsided and hurt in the short term. I have to keep reminding myself that this was a while ago and the guys are now doing great.

If Des wanted Brooks all along and he finally can put the "I am in love" to what he's feeling, then all's good. It's not that he doesn't FEEL these things for her all the time. I'm sure she can trust him as much as she always could, because he's always been completely honest and open with her. I'm sure they come to see eye to eye.

Who's to say what happens, anyway? Does he really "leave" or does she just take something he says wrong, in a way he didn't expect? (Which makes more sense based on what he says "There's nothing I can say.") I think she must just take something wrong. Or, maybe he's just royally confused and doesn't know what he wants at that point, so it sounds like a letting go, but he's just confused—and her response doesn't make it any better. I must say that I find it comical that you speak as if you KNOW Brooks, have personally met with him and are privately privy to all of his feelings.  Forgive me if your personal relationship with Brooks has suddenly changed in the last few days.  I would challenge, however, that you are speaking in opinions rather than exact knowledge.  [b]The truth is that none of us here actually know any of this for sure. You basically took the words right out of my mouth.  I don't understand why anyone would feel the need to praise Brooks at the expense of the other three guys. I think that Drew, Zak and Chris seem to all be great guys who come from wonderful families.  These guys do fall under the spell of the bach bubble while on the show. I have no doubt that their declarations of love were sincere at the time. However, once the show is over and they return to real life then they all seem to be able to move on.  Even the lead and the F1 encounter trouble once they are again in real life. That's why so few of these relationships have worked out long term.

The truth is that we don't know these guys. We can try to assess them based on what we see of them on the show.  I wouldn't even bother to speculate as to what happens with Brooks and Des.  But to in some way think that he is better than the other guys because he has held back in expressing his feelings, is quite disingenuous.  I always wonder if it's really about building up one's favorite.

Native and LLiza, you both have summed things up great.  I don't understand how it is right to pump up your fave by knocking down the others, especially when they are good.  I almost hate this time of the season as sometimes things get "sparky" around here.

Guys, one Brooks fan does not speak for ALL Brooks fans. I think that Des did a wonderful job selecting her F4 guys. And although I see the connection with Brooks and are rooting for them as a couple, if in the end she picks Chris or Drew I think she'd be one lucky girl.

I second that! Thanks for the sentiment, sfrank! It's appreciated. I also do think it's best not to generalize or lump everyone together. I will agree that Des did a great job with her F4. I think she managed to get rid of a few rotten apples and the ones for whom she just didn't feel anything.

Yes this part is usually the worst. I know for me personally Emily's season was one of the hardest b/c SO many of us & viewers across the board really loved Arie, Sean and Jef. They were all 3 great guys and each clearly felt strong feelings for her. There was no denying her chemistry with BHG and most thought he was F1. Sean came in as a very loveable F3 and there were plenty of JEM fans fighting for their couple. I hate this part of the season too! :(

I said in the end Des ends up with Brooks, the guy she has loved since the beginning
Canyonvue said that was a fact (that Des and Brooks end up together)
You said it's not a fact yet because we don't know yet FOR SURE what the ending is and I agreed with you.
I hope Des ends up with Brooks but really I think all three guys are great...they all love her (I know Brooks hasn't said it but I think he does). We also don't know yet what happens to make Des cry even though it's looking like it has something to do with Brooks. I don't think Brooks leaves her but we shall see.
