I thought it was interesting how he said he was oblivious to it. Brooks was right. He said he didn't think Zac expected that at all, and you could see the wheels turning in Brooks' head. You could also see that he felt bad for Des.

Who's to say what happens, anyway? Does he really "leave" or does she just take something he says wrong, in a way he didn't expect? (Which makes more sense based on what he says "There's nothing I can say.") I think she must just take something wrong. Or, maybe he's just royally confused and doesn't know what he wants at that point, so it sounds like a letting go, but he's just confused—and her response doesn't make it any better. I must say that I find it comical that you speak as if you KNOW Brooks, have personally met with him and are privately privy to all of his feelings. Forgive me if your personal relationship with Brooks has suddenly changed in the last few days. I would challenge, however, that you are speaking in opinions rather than exact knowledge. I think that Drew, Zak and Chris seem to all be great guys who come from wonderful families. These guys do fall under the spell of the bach bubble while on the show. Even the lead and the F1 encounter trouble once they are again in real life. That's why so few of these relationships have worked out long term.

The truth is that we don't know these guys. We can try to assess them based on what we see of them on the show. I wouldn't even bother to speculate as to what happens with Brooks and Des. But to in some way think that he is better than the other guys because he has held back in expressing his feelings, is quite disingenuous. I always wonder if it's really about building up one's favorite.

Reid flew all the way to California after Jillian dumped him. He talked TPTB into letting him return, so he turned right around and came back. Of course, this was before they made the f3 stay longer because the viewers could tell the order of the final three by the order in which they came home.

That actually should have made this part of his journey easier. The are separated from F5/f6 onwards so there is no comparing and competing. Time to focus on their individual relationships with the lead.
Yet he says something to Des to upset her to the point of her crying bitterly and him somehow in a limo ? For that scenario to pan out his 'reveal' must be huge, even bigger than the whole James fiasco for whom she gave a second chance !!!

I'm not sure why the board is minimizing what went down on the pier so much. (HM - not meaning you !!!!). Des certainly didn't.

nd..I agree something did go terrible wrong there on that pier for sure...gosh just think we have to wait another week to see what it was...who really cares about the MTN..not me it's a waste of time...and I really don't think we will get a "new" preview..

And we have to watch her chat with the past Bachelorettes too.UGH..

This is always the tortuous part of the season...waiting for 2 weeks for the good stuff! :shocked!:

It was worse for her with Brooks because she LOVES Brooks. There are a lot of emotions involved in him. She didn't have such emotions with James. It may not be as bad, but she's going to feel it more.

Moonchild and pavalygurl, in the quote above where you say Des has been unhappy for a lot of the season...do you really see her that way? I know there have been some rough spots along the way but generally she has seemed to me to have enjoyed the season. Anyone's thoughts about this?
