I personally think it is EXCELLENT and expresses the views of many watching last night! I posted in another thread but don't think anyone saw and it is sooo worth the read-so sorry for the repeat.

Chris Harrison was rude in his attempt to get Juan Pablo to say things he wasn't feeling.  I think Chris embarrassed Nikki more than JP's declaration of "like".  The ATFR was awkward to watch. I have to believe the teaser about Juan Pablo's surprise announcement was a creation of the ABC staff, not based on anything JP said. That was one of the most awkward parts of the whole thing.

Juan Pablo wasn't a good candidate for this show.  They made a mistake choosing him, but was his lack of commitment to Nikki worse than Jesse's airplane ticket or Brad's refusal to choose or Charlie's desire to continue dating the top two?  What about Jen-America's-Sweetheart and her season?  All these lead players were duds (and you can add the Prince to this list as well).  Why did they go gunning for JP?  He stepped on someone's toes along the way and I wonder if that someone was CH.

Oh well...it's finally over and next is Andi.  I can't imagine why they chose her, but they did.  Hopefully, she will be a pleasant surprise.

As for the bolded, yes he totally stepped on someones toes. Did we not see that clip in the season preview of him not wanting to continue the interview back in ep2 itself ? IMO multiple people were annoyed. CH was just one of them.

The only person I saw congratulating them was Elan when he posted a picture of them kissing at the beach. No one else.

His choice at the FRC and his lack of verbage has been twisted into some shocking bachelor no-no when yes there have been others prior that have equally sad finales. To add to your list, Travis Storks with his ring on a string as well.
However, the producers have been determined since Brad 1.0 to get that engagement and that "happy ending" at  all costs and JaunP jipped them completely. That IMO is another reason why they are so pissed.

JP (According to RS) was offered money to propose at the ATFR. Perhaps saying ILY on national TV was part of that deal as well (duh !).
IMO they were pressuring him since after the finale till moments before the taping.

It appears like he was angry at being bought but the machine that way and therefore stuck to his guns. As a matter of principal. That made him turn defensive angry and uncooperative.  If the money bribe was one of the reasons for that then more power to him.

He was angry and uncoorperative and it had nothing to do with Nikki's dad or Camiiiiiiila or whatever else he claimed, it's not saying ILY to Nikki or wanting to be private. He is pissed that tptb wouldn't play his game and wanted to buy his proposal and ILY so he decided to fight back and not capitulate to any of tptb's wants and pressure. If I was Nikki, I would be humiliated by his behavior at atfr and also very scared at his behavior in general.

He is so sexist, it's pretty worrisome, especially whore/madonna with Nikki being a special snowflake wife material and Clare being the naughty, spicy minx he can bang in the ocean but not marry or love or respect. Good luck to Nikki. She does seem happy and in love with him and laughs at all of his mannerisms and what seems like very rude comments ("don't get cranky!" at the frc) , so hopefully she knows what she's doing or at least will learn after this experience what kind of man she needs.

I really think he said "it's hot so don't get cranky" meaning "I know you're hot, but don't whine." Ehh, I don't get it, but I'm not Nikki. I'm more into the JP way of showing affection myself- "ooooooh Ashley, you're the most magnificent critter to ever grace my sorry, sorry world!" but if Nikki is happy and understands him, all the best.

Yeah it is for Nikki to figure out JP speak.

But going back to the word "cranky" ...I come from a country where english is not the first language either. So folks using the words "don't get cranky" when they actually mean "don't start crying on me" makes sense.
Other examples is overhearing a lady saying "I felt so ticklish" instead of what she actually meant to say which is "I felt so tickled".

What I understood was that the weather was hot, and he told her don't get cranky. Who knows? That may have been something that was discussed before between the two of them where she may have stated that she get's cranky when it's hot out. That's just MO.

Yes, TPTB probably didn't treat Juan Pablo very well, especially w/his edit, but Juan Pablo has to take a large part of the blame, too. He is the one that signed on the dotted line to be the bachelor. He didn't want to succumb to the pressure of what TPTB wanted him to do, but at the same time, I almost get the impression that he just wanted TPTB to let him do what he wanted to do. It doesn't work that way. TPTB have a TV show to produce, and they spend a lot of money doing so. He just made himself, Nikki, and their new relationship look so bad by his behavior and attitude at the ATFR show. He claims he likes honestly and brushes off his rude behavior as just being honest. Well, others are allowed to have an opinion as well, and they didn't like what they saw at the ATFR show. People were just being honest, too. It's like he wants people to respect his honesty even when it appears to be abrupt or rude, but he can't and won't accept anyone else's honesty. To me, it appears he can dish it out, but he can't take it. From the comments that I have seen around the internet, most of them are not about him not proposing at the FRC or telling Nikki he loved her at the ATFR show, the negative comments specifically relate to his actions and behavior at the ATFR show. He disrespected the show, TPTB, Nikki, their relationship, and the fans that have been watching his story w/Nikki unfold over the last couple of months. I think Juan Pablo was especially rude to the fans of the show when he sat there and said that him and Nikki were so done with the show and now they just wanted privacy. I call foul on that! All previous bachelors and bachelorettes (whether they were engaged and happy or alone like Brad 1.0) sat up there on the hot seat and talked about what was next for them in the future even when they probably didn't want to. They didn't sit up there w/a belligerent attitude coming across like a petulant child refusing to say one thing about what is next for you and your chosen one.

As a side note, it appears that Juan Pablo was very upset w/TPTB that he lost the DWTS gig. When Chris Harrison first asked him what was next for him and Nikki, Juan Pablo brought up the fact that their plans changed two weeks ago - probably when he wasn't selected to be on DWTS, and he seemed really angry at TPTB about it. If Juan Pablo lost that gig, that's on him and some of the comments he made to the media. I know TPTB distanced themselves from him when he made his "more pervert" comment about having a gay lead as the bachelor/bachelorette, but even if TPTB would have stood by him and defended him, he would have still lost the gig. That's the way it works in the media. One day they love you and the next day they don't. Juan Pablo needs to start putting own ego aside when he makes missteps in the media and own it, otherwise it's going to be a very tough road for him in the future.

If Juan Pablo and Nikki truly want the privacy that Juan Pablo is adamantly claiming they want, then both him and Nikki should set facebook, twitter, instagram etc. to private and they should not do any future interviews or magazine shoots. It's not that he wants privacy, he just wants media exposure on his terms. I don't think by a long shot he is done putting his foot in his mouth, and he will learn the hard way that you can't tame the media or people's perceptions of you. You have to do that yourself by what you say in the media. Yes, I think to a certain extent TPTB didn't treat Juan Pablo very well, but it is a two way street, and Juan Pablo has to take some of the blame. No one forced him to be the bachelor, and when he signed up for the gig he signed up for everything, not just doing the parts of it that he wants to. He would have come across so much better if he was humble and gracious instead of being angry and disgruntled. The general public would have had a more compassionate opinion of him and the way TPTB treated him. With his behavior at the ATFR show, I have a really hard time feeling sorry for him, and I was one of the viewers that was feeling more and more compassion for him as the season went along because of the way TPTB were portraying him with his edit. I hope it was worth it to Juan Pablo with getting his revenge on TPTB with his behavior on the ATFR show because that is going to follow him for a long time to come. Not only with future media/celebrity/Hollywood opportunities, but with any and all opportunities. His words, actions, and behavior at the ATFR show are out there on the internet for all the world to see, and it's going to come back and bite him in the butt many times in the future.

I also have to say that I feel so sorry for Nikki in all of this. She certainly did not get her fairytale ending. And I am not talking about being engaged, but the fact that the man you are in love with can't even say anything about how he feels about you because all he is concerned with his getting his revenge with TPTB does not bode well for the future of your relationship.

Yeah. I wasn't thrilled when he said "don't get cranky now". I kind of wanted to reach through my TV screen and slap him!  

Nikki commented on the heat to the Galavis family during her MTP date. She said the heat makes her cranky.
