After Hong Kong (when I believe Ashley was firmly on the JP train), they had to make his jouney go downhill. There was no way it could continue to climb without major obstacles.

We saw the jealousy and crabiness in Taiwan, then the wounded man issues highlighted by his family, problems on the fantasy date, family issues on MTP ...

His edit has to go that way (as your souce said) because (IMO) there is no other way to get drama and suspense at the FRC because Ashley made up her mind in Hong Kong.

I am not sure what part Ryan is going to play, but I am convinced there must be some part or some piece of wisdom he imparts, or it wouldnt have been worth beinging him to Fiji. They have Dino's leaving for drama, they dont need him for that.

Does any of this make sense?

Sorry, but really don't think so. When you look at it, with JP's yes there was fun, but there was a lot of serious doubtful conversations as well. With Ben's date, there was a lot of substance there that makes you understand who Ben is, the connection that Ben and Ash have.

I have to agree to disagree with you on this. That's not how I saw it...sorry! I understand who Ben is now...but didn't do anything for me in regards to Ben & Ashley. I think it's a case of personal opinion on what people find to be the most important and best of the four.

But this is something that I think everyone can agree on...............if you are on Ben's side of the fence, you will see it one way.............if you are on JP's side of the fence, you will likely see it another way.

From Ben's side of the fence, a lot more was shown with regards of the connection Ben and Ashley were getting. IMO.

You heard and saw Ashley talk about her feelings for Ben. Ashley also gives Ben more of her attention when he's talking to her. And, I can't get pass how Ashley turns her head when JP and Constantine would go in for a kiss. Their kisses generally landed on the side of her face and mouth. It was pretty clear to me that Ashley was trying to avoid a full kiss. I also noticed that when she could not avoid the kiss, she would focus on the bottom lip like an actor would.

Ashley didn't seem like she was avoiding JP's kisses :giggle:

Are we watching the same show? Am I hallucinating, or did Ashley say JP's kisses were the best she's had and that they were magical? I thought there were a lot of things to cause doubt during JP's HTD date, but her avoiding his kisses certainly wasn't among them. During their second kiss on rollerskates she grabbed the back of JP's head and pulled him in for a kiss. And when they were sitting to put the skates on she's the one that went in for the kiss. I could go on, but I won't.

I'm with you on this, 2Observe. I brought it up here earlier but wasn't a popular opinion. :laughingoutlou I think part of the reason people see so much chemistry with JP is because of him. Not to say she's disgusted by him at all of course. I'm sure she does enjoying kissing him but the best kisser comment was several episodes ago. I just think it's a strange way to kiss someone if he's the one you're choosing.

I don't truly trust the editing when we're given such different dates so no way to really compare them. I'd have liked to see more fun with Ben to see how Ashley reacted (like in my avatar). I hate it when good stuff lands on the cutting room floor.

I'll be very interested to see how JP reacts to the FD's with the other guys. We certainly have plenty of background to suggest that he may be jealous or at least upset by the thought. I do think it could cause issues on their FD but how much is the question.

ITA Bronwyn...and she had that red chin when she hugged him, told him how cute he was and kissed him before they put on their roller skates. They were doing something to give her that red chin before they even got to the roller rink.

All I know is that my sources are standing very FIRM on their words to me. Now when you see that as an obstacle along with what Ash's sister is saying during the MTP time, I do think that there will be continual problems with JP and thus, he is F2. Now when you look at the editing with regards to past seasons and the FD's / LCD's.............since DeAnna's season, the F1's have all had alternating FD's/LCD's..........meaning:

DeAnna's:

Jesse had horsebackriding FD, Jason had Kayaking, then the activities were switched and Jesse had a water date, and Jason had a land date.......driving for their LCD's.

Jillian's season:
Ed had the boat/water date for FD, and Kiptyn had the ziplining/obstacle course for his FD.........then LCD's Kiptyn had the kayaking/paddle boat date, and Ed had the land date, flying to the waterfall and sitting in the forrest for the day.

Ali's season:
Roberto had a "land" date for his FD......flying to an island, having a picnic and being on land.............Chris had the boat date...............Ali's LCD with Roberto was the jet ski........water date.

Ashley's season:
JP_ getting Land date.........flying to island for picnic..........Ben getting the boat date/water date for his FD.........then for the LCD's, Ben gets the land date......mudbath and JP gets the water date.....kayaking.

So if editing and history plays a role in this season as it has done for all the others, then this means that Ben is getting the F1 edit and JP is getting the F2 edit for the FD'S/LCD'S.

It was interesting that in Trista's season, this was the point of contention with Charlie. We believe Trista did share intimacy with both of them; however, Charlie wanted her to be exclusive with him, and she flat out refused. I have forgotten her words, but she indicated to him her perogative to something with both of them. Ryan, on the other hand, was shown as not possessive or jealous with the issue, and yet we know that Ryan was frustrated at the end because she couldn't tell him that she cared.

Bloomers, correct me if I am wrong........this kind of edit above and the previous season's edit of how the FD'S and LCD'S go, I am thinking we are seeing that JP will be F2 and Ben will be F1.

Point of correction Coastal, Jason's LCD was shark-diving off a boat, not a land date.

Yes you are right and Jason's FD was jeeping to the kayaking site. Jesse's LCD was on a seaplane to a private island.
