Re: Bachelorette 9 - General Media - Discussion
Mike always lawyer. He said you cannot deny the chemistry with Brook and Des but if he had to pick based on what he has seen so far and the fact that Chris said he love her he would pick Chris.

Does everyone have to be on the Brooks train? Isn't enough that Michael said they're good friends? I didn't listen to this radio interview but maybe he's just being honest.

I just read from sfrank that Michael said if he were to say who it would be Brooks, but it seems like right now Chris has the edge or something like that.

He said he think Chris and Des have the most in common, seem to be the furthest RIGHT NOW, but he also talks about the obvious chemistry between Des and Brooks and that Des is smitten with him, and that Brooks is a great guy. He also said in another interview that the fact that Des is smitten with Brooks shows that she has great taste.

I didn't like the joke/dig you made directed at Michael because he said Chris. That wasn't called for.

It was a joke. I happen to really like Michael. Probably my next fav to Brooks.

About this: I haven't really been able to watch this season but I did happen to get a peek at US Weekly and wanted to post since nobody else had.momoftrips wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The 2 guys in question according to US Weekly are Brooks and Drew. US Weekly says Brooks was the frontrunner going into hometown dates but then Desiree really connected with Drew on their HTD and so she started to feel conflicted between those 2 guys. The anonymous source from production telling US Weekly this also says there's a lot of drama ahead. The inside Bach/ette sources leaking to US Weekly tend to be accurate.
I don't have a lot of analysis to add because I haven't really been following the arc of the tabloids this season.

Interesting. Des would have to find herself convinced that Drew is her soulmate and that Brooks was nothing at all real and deep for me to see it, but hey...stranger things have happened.

I read that so called paragraph (it wasn't even an article) and it literally said nothing. The source didn't claim anything, but that it was going to get 'more complicated'.
The article said 'because, how Drew was with his sister' or something like that. Now, does that make a reason why she would be torn all of a sudden? Doesn't to me.
US didn't say what the 'complication' was.

My take: None of us irrelevant strangers have to "see" it. Regardless of how we feel about one contender or the other, we don't matter in the story. All that matters is for Des and her F1 to see and feel it. Yes, it is a tv show and they signed up for it, but it is a show that impacts their lives.

I like this post !!!
Haven't a whole bunch of posters sworn up and down that they have "seen it" with some contestant and then at the end in fact there were just clever screen manipulations ?
Des needs to be 100% confident of her choices and I believe she is. Be it Brooks, Drew or Chris.

Which would definitely support the idea that she lets Brooks go. She may even, at one point, think she wants Drew instead, or that she thinks she might be happy with him despite her sadness about Brooks (I've considered that). But then she can't get over Brooks.
All I know is the ending sounds very exciting. At least the endings I make up.
She could definitely want Drew—her ideal dream dude with the perfect life. But she loves Brooks. She needs what her heart yearns for.
I've always thought it comes down to Brooks and Drew battling it out in the end.
The Want vs. the Need. And a lot of growth for Des.
