And not to beat a dead horse but I was so sad to see Michael go even though I knew it was coming. I loved that he called his momma. Michael I am cute your age , successful, available and one state over. Come up to Hotatlanta and I will make it all better!
I know that not many people like Michael and although I didn't see a connection with him and Des, that phone call shows that he is a softie somewhere inside. I think he's so tough on the outside because I feel like he thinks he has a lot to prove with his problems in life (no father, diabetic, etc.) But I guess this is all based on the show and what I think.

The CH interview also makes sure to tell us that the lead girl is so much into this guy who's not quite there yet in terms
of expressing his feelings etc. Isnt this Des' MO when it comes to guys, that she's always finding someone who is not expressive
and not into her as much as she's into him.
So where is the fairy tale in all of this, if she is just repeating her pattern? If Brooks came back and realized the error of his ways, its not the kind of
fairy tale that the viewers are looking for.
This is the Bachelorette, the man should be working hard to win the girl not the other way around.
I love this post. Thank you. This is a nightmare of a season. Whether they kiss and make up I don't care. The damage has already been done as far as I am concerned with his reluctance to say he loves her.
Run Des, run!

I felt that way until tonight. I had forgotten his story about his sister and his childhood. It doesn't sound like he was able to have much of a childhood. His sister is a big responsibility for the whole family. You could tell how much he cares about his sister. From CH's description, I will probably need a box of Kleenex handy. It will be interesting to see if he comes out of his shell more on his HTD. I don't see him with Des at all though.

Should he say he loves her before he's ready? I don't think so. I love that Brooks is completely serious about this whole process. He's taking it totally seriously. It's not a race to him, or a competition. He is seriously looking at Des as a possible long-term relationship and being very cerebral about it. He's a very smart guy.IrishGal wrote:charriotoffire wrote:

Everyone is absolutely assuming what happens with Des and Brooks. He has been tried and convicted before anything has even happened. Who's to say it's even Brooks who is at fault, in the end? If anything major even happened.
And btw, their story is certainly the fairytale I'm looking for.

I'm just watching now, but OMG. The date with Michael is just painful to watch - poor guy. I actually feel bad for him. She looks like she would rather be anywhere except there with him. She does not have a poker face - at all!

I know. I don't even get why she did the date. It was obvious she wasn't interested.

i think the 'brooks isn't as far along' is all manufactured. i really paid attention to the edit tonight and their whole 1-1 at dinner. the PIs were incredibly spliced and diced with mostly VOs for brooks. tptb probably told him not to tell her he is anywhere close to being in love while they pushed the other guys to do so. well, it will be interesting to see what RS's bombshell about brooks is tomorrow.

I don't pay attention to RS unless it's a spoiler. RS usually is a let down when it comes to that, like MF usually is with his bs.

Neither did I Patty, I can't see Drew leaving on his own after professing his love for Des. IF he leaves at all, it will be by Des telling him so and NOT on his own accord. IMO.Pattycake92 wrote:happygirl77us wrote: Then Drew ends up leaving on his own according to the previews
I didn't see it that way. At all.

I actually enjoy it more watching the lead being so smitten with a contestant. For example, Sean with Catherine and his desire to not be in the friend zone or Brad's unapologetic falling for Emily. Part of the appeal of Desiree and Brooks relationship is how smitten she seems to be. There were so many moments during the fireworks portion of their date where Desiree is leaning into him like, "please kiss me" and "hold me tight and never let go".
