Pavalygurl, i have done my dissertation called the `Mysterious Consoling Guy` in the preview. LoL.i am a researcher IRL, and IDK why that particular scene intrigued me so much. being a Chris cray fan, let me drown myself in endless 3 days efforts, to figure out that indeed the guy is Chris. and the ugly cry is actually the desperate plea for apology/take me back kind of thing ( i am good at body language too!..). this doesnt match with confirmed spoiler where it said two guys showed up and Chris get dumped.but i do believe spoiler. thus i only see this scene happened after the reported spoiler, aka....the shifted F1. what caught me also is Nate`s tweet as if he feel the need to tell the truth without revealing too much. At first i think i just gonna save this in mind and maybe spill it all during last episodes. But now after you have had your own analysis, i am glad that i am not the only one. On top of that, more than anything, i really2 need to see and prove (and i think MF and co too! ) that RS is big wrong this time!..

let me also share this with you. one evidence about the 2nd FRC/the shifted F1 FRC....just to tickle your mind -this was taken from my mail to one of my fello Chris fren :
The second one, the one she had said yes to Chris was taken out of Verandah perhaps in the adjacent island on the next days. This is the hidden one, de jure, only few crew got to see. . This will explain the PI, wearing red dress, where she said..after tonight, I want him to get down on one knee. I love him.. If you notice, you can tell she made those PI after bailing her eyes out entire day!!. Its irrational to think that particular PI is taken from one of FSD/LCD. It would be a dead give away as to whom she will pick for the next day, of course!!..the only explanation is PI refer to the 2nd FRC. JMHTheory

That's true. Why would she spill right off who she wanted to get on bended knee?

You need to read my theory above. I took your idea and turned it on its head so it makes sense with the spoilers.

I kind of hope it works out that way. I do like a few good man tears and some drama.

Could the show just cut that portion out and pretend we didn't hear it in the first place?

How far ahead do the producers edit a show before it airs? The week before or sooner?

Side note and something of interest. Interview with Mike Fleiss posted 2 days ago. Talks about Bachelor Pad and Des's season.

Listening to that for myself for the first time, it's possible MF only meant that he doesn't know if Des or the guys (could be all the guys even, not just final 2) are happy is referring to post show because he's not in their heads, he's no longer around them. Could the shock be that Drew returns after elimination and asks for another day or two with Des and that mixes up the scheduling. Shocking and out of left field that Des wants to do it. ETA: scratch that last part. I just don't know, and speculating makes my head hurt. :Smiley:

Guess with my experience watching the show all these years , I've learned that things are RARELY as they appear to be and I think some of us may be setting ourselves up for a big letdown. And for me when it comes to this show I think its best to take up the philosophy "believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear."

I can recall almost every season since sleuthing became popular that screencaps would be analyzed to death and it turns out to be not what was thought of at all. For example as recently as 2 months ago, Sean's got that letter and was SO upset and angry remember? We thought it MUST have been from someone who "got cold feet" and now we know it was from Catherine and an ILY note. And Brad 2.0 season where we had him crying on the shoulder of a blonde woman and there was endless speculation...it turned out to be just an embrace with his sister-in-law. If I had the time I would go back and find something from each season but I think anyone who has watched this show should be aware that things are rarely as they appear, especially in the promos.

Additionally, if Fleiss has anything as juicy and explosive as her changing her mind from one to the other at the FRC, I don't know that "weird" would be his best way to describe that. Weird implies something oddly strange or not quite usual, or that deviates from the norm but its relatively tame in my mind if we are going to ascribe to her 1) choosing someone, 2) getting engaged, 3) changing her mind and 4) getting engaged to someone else. That's a little more than "weird" don't cha think? I mean this is Fleiss we are talking about here. I would think he would come out with something a little more hefty than that. After all these are the same people who almost every week promise "THE MOST DRAMATIC ROSE CEREMONY EVER" and 9 times out of 10, it is not. I mean think about what a BFD that was with Jason and that switched happened AFTER the show. Now he supposedly has it actually happening ON the show in living color and right before our very eyes and it just "weird". That not "weird" that is "BOMBSHELL", IMO . Or perhaps my general usage of the word "weird" is just different. My weird is much more like "its weird that my iphone isn't coming on even though I've charged it all night".

I think something strange happens but its not nearly as dramatic as we think...if you listen to him he sounds relatively nonchalant and indifferent about it. If I've learned anything about Fleiss after all these years its that this guy is a SALESMAN -- now whether you think he is in an Armani suit selling you the Maybach in Beverly Hills or in the cheap suit and gold pinkyring selling you the Kia Sedona in Piscataway, Jersey, I'll leave that up to you but HE SELLS THE SHOW! And to me he doesn't sound like the giddy schoolgirl he should be for a guy who has another "Mesnick" in his lap which means RATINGS (ching ching), baby! If you were on boards, then I don't have to tell you how HUGE that was online and across the media spectrum. In fact the "Mesnick" is what truly got the tabloids interested in the show! Frankly, I think Jason got off lucky that it happened back then and not now which would be MUCH worse with social media what it is today.

Good post, sfrank. I'm only going to believe it when I see it. Maybe only half, maybe more. :) I'm strapping on my seatbelt, loosely, and am just going to enjoy the ride on a show that let's you see beautiful locations, some drama and angst, and the possibility of love and a happy ever after. Maybe next time I'll try to go back to being unspoiled like I was for most of it's 26 seasons.

I was on the boards then and remember things well. But the thing was that MF really was pretty nonchalant about what he had on film, at least initially. In an interview he all he said was that he expected to see a wedding because the couple seemed very much in love. At the time I knew Jason had picked Melissa and simply assumed that MF was talking about Jason & Melissa but later on learned that he was really talking about Jason and Molly because the interview took place AFTER the breakup had been filmed. Harrison was similarly nonchalant and only said that what Jason did took guts which made no sense to me at the time and only did after I learned about the breakup.

That season got huge online only after RS revealed that there was a breakup and switch of who Jason was with; before that was known TPTB were pretty tame about what they knew to be an explosive ending.

I agree with you, sfrank, about Fleiss being a salesman for the show. In fact, he oversells. The whole interview is up on ew.com. In it, he says that the season really starts with the next episode because of the drama surrounding the guy with a girlfriend. He says that it's crazy, almost violent, like no confrontation they've had on the show before. To top it off, Des really cares about the guy. Whaaat? Brian? The same guy we've seen a minute of on-screen? The previews certainly don't make it seem like the confrontation is out of control. Fleiss is a hype machine.

The interview is interesting to listen to in its entirety though.

Like all the other contestants after the show he's not going to say one way or another if Des and the contestants are happy. He's not going to give away the ending. I think people are forgetting that.

The unspoiled don't know how the end comes about and who is supposed to be the finalist. Supposedly that will be pretty evident, so I don't know where a shocking part comes in. But, keep that in mind. He's referring to the unspoiled person being shocked.

I wish i was one of those lucky people who got to watch the show early every time. It makes me highly impatient for every Monday to roll around. I want to know the ending already.
