Exactly IG, I keep wondering what reason he could come up for leaving that when she takes him back won`t make her not look completely like a pushover and cannot come up with a single one. But this as well as a slew of other `holes`are frequently brushed aside to the point that it gets a bit ridiculous.

i think some would take him back and some wouldn't if it was just a freak out on brooks' behalf and not a real emergency. in a way to me it shows he's being real and not completely in the bach bubble and i think that part is a good thing. it certainly isn't good that he'd leave and come back thus breaking her heart, but she is definitely gaga over him. so i can understand her taking him back over a freakout depending on what & how it went down. i don't know if during the show jillian knew ed was having flings on the side when he left so that is a little different. i doubt we'd hear brooks' is having a fling if he did go back to SLC for a few days and then return.

IF he doesn't leave, can you help me figure out why the crying limo car ride sc we have and since that is the only one along with the one of him answering the door that puts him anywhere near the finale location. We have no FD or LCD location sc's. I still don't understand that part. Thanks.

I think he may leave but the preview could easily be edited out of order: ie, someone tells Brookes that Des needs to talk to him, he paces outside of his villa thinking she's dumping him, he gets in the limo and is teary on his way to see her, they talk etc. The power-that-be created the scenario that we get from the preview...it may not have gone down that way at all.

As far as the caps from other dates, again, that plays into whatever the PTB want to show us.

Curious: do we think Des would get engaged to a guy without meeting the family?

I wasn't certain that Drew does have a LCD...I thought that there was still a lot of speculation about that. But regardless, I'm only suggesting that the producers offer an edit in the preview, and we are meant to believe that edit...and it's easier TO believe it until we actually see it unfold. Chronology can be easily manipulated, and yet because it's what they've presented to us, it's what most believe. (Until the actual episodes air...when we see how different things actually are.) (And - not to get too parenthetical here - but even then, we really only see what they want us to see anyway.)

Yep, true. Just thought of a couple of different things. Guess the one cap that gets to me is the one of her on the pier. Just trying to find a way to explain them all away.

That is my question. Is it absolutely certain that Drew does get an LCD?

But Des was a complete pushover (or more likely a scripted one) as shown by how many chances she gave James (producers in her ear). Most with free will would have ditched him the first time they talked to him at the group date after party. If Brooks did leave whatever was the scripted reason he hung out in another section of The Verandah for a couple days the writers would have known exactly what Des buttons to push for her to take him back. Brooks's scripted over-the-top everything-but-the-kitchen sink first date worked like a charm and now all the writers had to do was pull it all back together again. Des (the script) set the pushover precedent with James so taking back Brooks would be consistent.

I've read this all day but I'll say it again, there will be a lot of backlash, more than usual, if she took Brooks back at the last moment.

i agree w the last moment. analizing PIs of Chris, i do think Brooks will show up at FRC interrupting Chris's FRC . but i dont think she took him back.

First time I've agreed with you all season on Brooks, Irish...in fact, I said something similar in the BF thread earlier tonight:

I hate to think Brooks leaves but the evidence is just too overwhelming on that side after last night's preview. If he does leave, IMHO, it needs to and MUST be a darn good excuse (and it better not be that his needy co-workers just couldn't cope anymore).

I am hoping that its not because he is suddenly calling his feelings or hers into question. Otherwise, I don't think either of them looks too good...he would look weak, wishy-washy and unreliable and so would she for taking him back while Chris and Drew have been loyal and been there for her without wavering. Also, I don't know in which version of this "Cinderella" fairy tale the prince questions his feelings for her or vice versa and then leaves even just of a little while

MFs words are still in the back of my mind..."weirdest ending"..."out of left field"..."doesn't make sense"..."doesn't know if guys or Des are happy with it". Have a strange feeling that Brooks is NOT one of the "guys" he is referring to and its likely Drew and Chris. Additionally, CH calling Brooks an "enigma" and maybe "just going through the motions" kinda sets up that storyline, unfortunately. All these statements don't point to him leaving for something out of his control and/or an emergency. But MF and CH are slicker than snot on a doorknob so two things keep me hopeful...

The first is that I truly believe Brooks is a good & genuine guy and knowing all that she has already been through during the process (Ben, Bryden, James) how could he purposely hurt her by just giving up and leaving?! The second is that its Brooks own words..."Worst Day of My Life" -- would he say this if HE is the one that as orchestrated all of the drama of the day by leaving? Doesn't make sense but I guess we will have to wait and see but until then I remain cautiously optimistic!
