klisack, you seem to have become friends with Kari and Ben as well. Did Kari really go on the show to make her ex (Tanner) jealous or was she really into Ben? Was Kari just a plant to give Ben an interesting story line? What do you think would have happened if Ben had chosen Kari at the end? Would she still be interested in Tanner? I have seen some of your posts on twitter saying that all the girls are great, and I don't doubt that.

How did Ben end up proposing to Angela, the one girl with whom in my opinion, he seemed to have very little in common? The chemistry just wasn't there. I know the show was heavily edited for entertainment purposes, but the camera also doesn't lie. Sorry, I have a lot of questions. Can you please share your thoughts?

UHHH my post was just eaten..OK Ill start again. :) Kari did NOT go on the show at all to make Tanner jealous. Ben actually asked Kari an number of times to come on. She was broken up with Tanner for a long time before she went on the show and during the taping of the show. She hadn't talked to him in a long time. She really was there for Ben. I do not think Ben had Kari on the show for a story line. Ben doesn't come across to me as a spiteful person. I think she really was the girl he measured everyone to and if others didn't plant the doubt seed I think they would definitely have gone farther. If Kari chose to be with Ben then she would be with Ben. She is a really solid person. Wouldn't cheat. If she had doubts I believe she would talk to Ben about them. Even after the taping of the show she did not immediately go back to Tanner. it was a while after. She is so happy and I really think the whole situation has made her and Tanner closer. He is an awesome guy btw. Very nice and treats her so well. All the girls on the show are amazing. I tweet with a lot of them. Allie is awesome and so is Mandy. Angela is such a positive and funny person. Beth and Sarah are terrific and Jenna is hysterical. Sara is very talented and so sweet and I tweet with her Mom as well. Terrific lady. I LOVE Shandi. Great role model. All these people are really great people. Ben is a sweetheart, Ernesto is awesome and Tim is so nice. I know Ben has been getting a lot of slack but I really think he is a nice guy. Reality TV is not reality at all. They slice and dice to give us the drama. I get some interesting tweets from people attacking some of these people which is just awful. I kind of figured it was Angela that Ben chose. Not because of the chemistry, because you are right I didn't see any either but rather because she was never in the garden, they did not show more of their heated scenes..and guys there was a very hot ..hot tub scene that we didn't see...oooh la la ha ha ha I see the same thing with the bachelor...they always play down the girl that is chosen. So funny. Angela is an amazing girl and Ben and her actually lasted 8 months after the show was taped. Schedules, distance, lack of being able to be public just took its toll. I don't think they have closed the door yet. I would not be surprised at all to hear they are together again. They definitely had chemistry we were just not given the chance to see it. But seriously all these people are very nice. They were given an opportunity to find love and maybe get their face out their so they could even be more successful with their lives. IMO there is no harm in that.

it's an interesting picture, particularly the way ernesto is holding eva and the goo-goo eyed look on his face. the picture is from mid march (eva's birthday) and reports of eva and ernesto dating were already starting to circulate. if you look at the twitter post and the replies ben received you'll find a couple of people asking him about ernesto and eva. since those stories are starting to circulate again i have to wonder why ben would even post this picture. is he just a narcissist who can't help himself?

I mean yeah guys they are all going to ride the gravy train as long as they can. I mean honestly wouldn't you? It's an opportunity to build business or get charities supplemented. I don't think that it means these people are not genuine..just good at marketing themselves. It only will work as long as we let it ya know. The public is really the driving force. I mean Sean Lowe has really done well promoting himself and he is honest about using the opportunity to do so. His business, their wedding, etc....We aren't beating them up. He is a great guy. I mean Courtney Kerr got a show off of her reality show. If you watch her she is good. So funny! She wouldn't have that opportunity if she didn't sell herself. They would be dumb not to use this opportunity don't you think?

klisack, thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. I think Ben sending Kari home was such a blunder. Kari was all he cared about. After she left, things didn't change. I felt he was just going through the motions. I couldn't see a long lasting relationship with any of the other girls. I am in the minority, because I am no Matt Hussey fan (and I am British). I did not appreciate the way Matt spoke to the girls. I think he constantly questioned Kari's motives and got into Ben's head.

As for Ben and Angela, I respectfully disagree. I am sure she is nice, smart and funny, but I don't think she is for Ben. Ben says he wants a woman who will run his household. Well that is not the 25 yr old career minded Angela (and there is nothing wrong with her being career minded). Besides that purity pledge of Angela's, in my view is a deal breaker. I don't think Ben believes in it. Both Ben and Angela will be better off closing that door for good (JMHO). Granted we did not see the hot tub scene, but we saw some kissing scenes and they were all found wanting, the connection just wasn't there. Compare any of those scenes with what we saw between Ben and Kari. That finale scene where Angela expressed her love/feelings for Ben was colder than the bleak mid winter in Iceland.

I think Ben still has a thing for Kari. I may be wrong, but sometimes I think deep down Kari likes Ben too. (Okay, you disagree with me on that, I know).

I was also in the minority, about Tim and Sara. Sara is a great girl and a lot of people thought Tim should have picked Sara, but I realized very early on that he just wasn't attracted to her. End of story.

My initial impression of Ernesto was that he was a playboy. I thought he would cause a lot of heart ache for whomever he chose.

Why is it that the girls were asked to make changes, but it seemed the guys didn't need to work on anything? We constantly heard rubbish such as "you are not nurturing", "you have a wall", "open yourself up and let him in", I don' trust you" and" you are so lucky you are cute" . WTF!! We had divorced Tim, playboy Ernesto and workaholic Ben. There was a reason why each of them was single and on TV.

I would have liked to hear what mistakes Tim would not repeat in his next relationship.

I don't think Ernesto should have even been cast on the show, because he is not ready for a long term committed relationship.

As for Ben, I believed Kari when she said he was an absentee boyfriend. Angela attested to that in an interview (she said he was focused on his career and very busy). What significant changes is Ben willing to make? I think none. From his twitter conversations, he seems to enjoy hanging out with his boys a lot and traveling extensively. Any girl who wants to marry him should be prepared to be a housewife whose husband is gone a lot.

UHHH Post eaten again. OK I was saying that I totally agree with you. I am a huge Tracy fan and Matt rubbed me the wrong way. The guys definitely should have had more advice thrown their way and have had to deal with some of their issues. You also know I am a huge Kari fan and totally agree Ben still has feelings for her. I too think he will regret letting her go. Tanner however is not letting her go for sure. He said she is his soulmate and love of his life. You may be totally correct about Angela and Ben...Neither seems totally broken up about the split and it only happened a few months ago. :( Angela is amazing and I hope she continues to do great things with her life. Ben is really focused on work so maybe he needs a wife that wants to be totally focused on him and their family.. Maybe she could travel with him. I still really like Ben a lot and think he is a genuine guy. Just on the career track right now. Maybe not quite ready to 100% commit to a relationship. I do wish him love though. Someone else said that they think Angela will end up marrying someone in sports. I could definitely see that. Football player maybe. :) OK on another note what is up with the response system? Is anyone else having issues?

klisack, thanks again. I'm afraid, I have to say you are GREAT! I have followed your twitter conversations with Kari, Ben, Angela, Allie etc. You are very loyal. You constantly defend all of them and that's brilliant. I also like your twitter friends, (RoyalForumMoron and God_Blessthe USA) they are funny.

Of the 3 bachelors, I was interested in Ben's story because I could identify with him the most. I come across many well educated and career driven young men and women like him, at work and outside work. Some of them happen to be relatives of mine, so I am privy to discussions about balancing their careers and personal lives (courtships, dating, meeting the right girl or guy). Yes, we have been introduced to the virgin who was waiting until her wedding night. It didn't work, just too complicated.

I can understand why Tanner will hold on tight to Kari. He must feel very lucky, as he has benefitted from a series of foot faults, double faults and unforced errors made by Ben. Kari is a very beautiful girl with loads of spunk. She has many fans. It's funny, I watched the very first episode that aired on TV with my 29 yr old ivy league educated cousin who was visiting (that was the only episode he watched). Kari had him at "I question you all's motives for being here, I know Ben". His 2 cents? He thought that was the point where Ben should have come out, stopped the "circus" and left the show with Kari for good. In his mind, why was Ben even subjecting a girl like Kari to the show?

I don't disagree that in the real world the guys issues if they have any should be addressed, but that wasn't the purpose of the show so the focus was placed on the women.....Don't get me started about Matt, not a fan at all I thought he was a little heavy handed on the girls especially the ones that were not his girls........For me I really wish there would have been a season 2 because I really thought this show had promise....

Luvlady, I agree. I only wrote that in defense of the girls (I had to leave the confinement of the show). My female senses don't take condescending remarks from the likes of Hussey (actually men in general) very well.

Exactly, I really don't see how the women kept their composure, because I would have told him were he could go....I guess that is why I would never go on a reality show, because the edit of most of the women are not very good....

Awe thank you so much! I so enjoy this board and the friends I have made. You are all so much fun! I totally agree with your cousin. Kari is a total catch that Ben has missed out on. Hopefully he will find someone just as amazing as she is and he will find love and be happy. He deserves love too. He really is a very nice guy and I think in the relationship department a bit of a disaster. Poor guy but I am sure he will figure it out. I can admit I did get upset for Kari at him during all of this. Finding out some of the behind the scenes stuff did make me question him a bit but he was very kind in answering any questions that we had and seems honest. He did feel bad about how Kari was portrayed and treated. Yeah RoyalForumMoron makes me laugh so much. HYSTERICAL and a very nice person. God_Blessthe USA is awesome. I have some of the best people following me on twitter. I feel so fortunate to have met such amazing people from backgrounds all over the world. So cool!
