Re: Chris Harrison's The Bachelorette 9 Blogs & Interviews - Discussion
According to the ew.com recap, it was Des who started the verbs:albean99 wrote:Mustang19 wrote:Piper61 wrote:I think it's pretty silly to be putting down the two of them for their verb/adjective association game. Especially silly to claim that they're not mature adults for doing so.
That was my point too, Piper. First, CH got it wrong. Des is the one who started that game, so to state that Brooks is less articulate or mature than either Drew or Chris is not being fair or accurate. Having code names is a "red flag"? It was all in fun, geez. He seems to really have it in for Brooks.
I think Brooks was the one with the idea but Des was the first one to say hers.
Earlier in the day the duo had discussed coming up with "adjectives" to describe the feeling between "like" and "love" – the latter is not an adjective, but that would be too much to ask, right? To show her true feelings, Desiree decides adjectives aren't enough, so she gives Brooks verbs: "stepping," "skipping," and "running."

Ali is suggesting in her latest blog that maybe Des goes home and thinks about things for a couple of weeks before the FRC. Is that possible?

Does she mean the ATFR, because there was a FRC.

They showed that he went to Idaho on April 27th and possibly left that same day to be back in Antigua to meet with Des on April 29th. So if the FRC was May 5th as some folks are suggesting, then the was only 5 days between when he supposedly left and the FRC.

Yes .. He has in the past as well
Thanks Jeepers... I mean with friends like that.... Must make his girls feel all warm and fuzzy! NOT!
Thinking back, I don't know of any F1 to the bachelorette he has been really fond of. He is usually the F2 guy. Ben, Chris L, Reid, Jason, Those guys he loved. But with Brooks he seem to have just gotten mean...
I don't think he's being mean...just being straightforward. I didn't watch every season but I feel like Chris H usually is supportive in general about the F1. I have never heard him straight up say negative things about F1 before the finale airs. And yes sometimes he likes the F2 (and of course if F2 is gonna become the next Bachelor of course he's gonna say nice stuff about them). He did not support Reid over Ed in Jillian's season...I remember clearly how he would say he could tell how much Jillian liked Ed.

to me it's like he's saying this cuz Brooks and Des are not together and he's trying to make people understand why. This statement makes it sound like she could very well have ended up with Chris S....I mean if she were with Brooks why would Chris H. sound more supportive of Des's connection with Chris S. At most she is not with anyone but I just don't see how she could be engaged to Brooks with what Chris H is saying. It would be mean if she were with Brooks now if she weren't then it's not mean of him to say these things.

It is different, Chris came right out and told Des he loved her. He didn't need the walking, skipping, jogging, running, finishline silliness. He actually, like Drew, came right out and said "I Love You" to Des. That is the main difference.iamreal2u wrote:FinalHydrangea wrote:From his [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]That phrase I bolded sticks out to me. He's painting Brooks as inept but is he implying that she would only have seen via video that she had a strong connection with Chris, meaning that she didn't see it all through filming?Watching the episode, it really seems like her and Chris have something strong.
Harrison: When you watch it now, and I think Des might feel the same way, you're like, wow those two [are on a different level] than what she had with Brooks. You shouldn't have to have funny little verbs or code names for how you're feeling. You should be able to talk like adults and if the guy can't, it's a red flag. It means he's either not capable or mature, or he doesn't feel it. When you look at Chris and Drew these are articulate men. I'm not sure why it wasn't so evident to her.
Chris is full of CHit . Chris wrote poems how is that different.

Re: Chris Harrison's The Bachelorette 9 Blogs & Interviews - Discussion
i think he said he was leaving the next day to go to antigua but i'm not positive. the weird part about what ali said is i remember when brooks sat down to talk to CH or his mom & sis (i can't remember which but i think it was CH) he said something about not be ready to propose in 2 weeks. i remember thinking 2 weeks? shouldn't it have been in less than a week? 2 weeks later would be may 11th which is when des was spotted back home at target. idk. maybe brooks was just mixed up on how soon the FRC was.mercieme wrote:treschicas wrote:atem wrote:grace8136 wrote:Ali is suggesting in her latest blog that maybe Des goes home and thinks about things for a couple of weeks before the FRC.
