I thought Catherine went in his place? I recall past people making speeches, etc. before a dance.

The judges have some affect, but it's still the viewers that decide. I always look at it as who else, if not Sean? Maybe, some people think they would rather see Sean than another week of Victor. Plus, Victor pretty much admited he wants off the show (hating practice, etc.).

Anything that is not acceptable to be discussed in the fanforum perhaps?

I love hearing various POV, this is for whoever that wants to appreciate different POV's. Commentators, Snarkers, and any members of the peanut gallery.

Love_Me has posted the guidelines here many many times. It was the hot topic pages and pages back.

NV -- I said the same thing about his contract several days ago and was told here that I was wrong! I feel certain (though I admit that I have no real evidence) that Sean's contract assured him a minimum number of weeks. To use Trista's early (or ESPN's Kenny Mayne's) departure as an example is silly because that took place in the very first season when voters truly watched the dancing!!

It's all about ratings for ABC. As soon as Sean is past his contractural commitment, his continuation on the show will be commensurate with his effect on the ratings.

Hey, it's my opinion. Not nice to call it "silly". At least I came up with examples. I might have mentioned others but don't have the time or inclination to look them up.

I went to the abc dwts forum by accident and people there were not very kind, I mean this thread is much kinder.
