Love him and love the plot so I watch it a few times and is one of my favorite mini series.

I wonder how many more posters here like this kind of stuff. That's probably one of the reasons why we are on this board.

North and South is in Netflix. The whole series thanks for the tip. I love Richard Armitage too.

Thank you ladies for the tip. I also didn't know that Armitage starred as Robinhood. Wow.

Henry Cavill is my kind of man too aside from Armitage, Cavill has no bad angle. What is up with British, Scottish, Irish men?

Just wondering, which TV or movie adaptation of P&P do y'all like the most? My BF loves the Keira Knightley one, but I'm a die hard fan of the 1995 Colin Firth's.

I love the Keira Knightly version. I haven't seen Lost in Austen, Emma, Persuasion, Northanger Abbey. Maybe I should watch those first

Emma, Persuasion are excellent books and so are the film versions. I did not like Gwyneth Paltrow too much as Emma, Kate Beckinsale's version on BBC was much better, she was the right age for the character, and Mr. Knightly played by Mark Strong reflected the distance in their ages of about 12 yrs. The recent modern adaptation Clueless is pretty good too. As for Persuasion, I recommend the one starring Ciarán Hinds. Also see Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. As for P&P, the 1995 TV series is the best adaptation ever. Kierra Knightly has played so many characters, I always think of her in Pirates of the Carribean.

I like the BBC 2009 version of Emma. I rewatched the proposal scene between Romola Garai and Jonny Lee Miller many many times. :giggle:
