Re: The Bachelor 17 - General Discussion - Thread #1
^^ Sean has said you're either a virgin or you're not. He says he is not having sex until he is married. As I recall, he doesn't really deny that he has had sex before... but he has never used the tabloids terminology to describe his choice to be celibate until marriage- that he believes it is God's way- and that he didn't always understand that, or care to do things God's way.

Having a healthy discussion about things that happened in past seasons is fine.
However, somethings should be discussed through private messages rather then on an open Forum.
Asking people to re-read our rules here hasn't seemed to help.
We don't want to shut down any threads just because the season is over with. What would be the fun in that?
Please, help us keep this site enjoyable.
Thank you.

I hope I didn't say anything out of line, Love_Me. I'll be more careful. : )

When I watch Sean with Catherine, I see a passionate man. The way he kissed her in the rain was beyond passionate. Then there is the way he is always touching her, on the show, and after. He touches her hair, rubs her leg, and touches her bottom. That doesn't come across to me like a man who isn't passionate. Just because he has strong beliefs and chooses to live his life a certain way, doesn't take anything away from his passion for the woman he loves...jmo.

And knowing that, he still agreed to sign on the dotted line...gabriele wrote:noobsleuth wrote:IDK ... maybe this all just proves my point that the relationship isn't as healthy as they are making it out to be. I don't think Sean is gay ... but I do think he cares about his image therefore caring about whatever marketable qualities he might have. If the celibate thing sells, then that is what he's going to go with (or at least his agents or telling him to do so). I can't blame him for the man that he is. IMO he wants $$$ (who doesn't) and his celibacy is what's making the headlines. Whether or not Cat's aware how the tabloids work is still a mystery to me. However, she is still willing to show up to support him at DWTS - for the opportunity... for the $$$, right?
I was such a hater during the whole Jason and Molly and Melissa fiasco, but they went back to normal life, preserved, did the long distance, for over a year and eventually got married. JP and Ashley left their busy life in NY to settle down and compromise in Princeton - and then got married. For Sean and Cat to be proclaiming their love and their wedding aspirations to the world after a few weeks in the Hollywood spotlight is silly to me.
is he the one making a big deal of this though? i think it may be tptb instead. whenever there has been a guy on the show that was a virgin they announce it from the rooftops. i've seen them do it over and over and over. honestly, i think the guys would probably rather
It was a hot topic during Emily's season, I could only imagine it would be during his (they originally wanted Tim Tebow after all). Tohis was the work of a PR person but Sean still went with it ... For the $$$? ... for the Fame?
I just don't see this couple as the real deal. I can't explain it... it's just a vibe I get (people get vibes all the time). I was right for JEM but dead wrong for Emily and Brad. I don't see Sean and Cat lasting much longer then his DWTS the career. I don't think either one know what they are getting into with the other. I don't think they know each other very well and I think they have been avoiding such topics as where they are going to live, etc.
I agree that Sean's season seemed totally off. Normally, I would assume this was the work of MF and Hilton in that they were changing the premise of the show however, Des' season seems like all of the others. For whatever reason Sean wanted his contestants to "compete" for their chance to win his heart. It's no surprise to two left seemed the most laid back and go with the flow of the bunch. The most real convos he had IMO were with Des and I'm glad she is the Bette.
Anyway, his post season antics are the most I've been amused the whole season so I am enjoying the discussion going on in this thread.

Obviously everyone has the right to their opinion but think it's sad that gay is being thrown around in relation to Sean being celebate. Haven't we come further in this day & age? :hmmm:
NV, lots of Christians have done the show. I don't see why Sean should be any different. It's about what you do and not how others perceive the show.

Sean and Catherine remind me so much of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise.
Catherine Giudici @clmgiudici 1h
Sometimes I feel like the hotel reviewer in Ocean's 13. Now I'm waiting for Brad Pitt to present me with that lucky coin to justify it all.
"to justify it all"?
Catherine is way smarter than Sean. The way she expresses whatever feelings she has and put it in a cryptic enough way, so it still could be debated, pure genius.
She might be talking about a plugged toilet bowl for all we know but its still a good analogy. I love the reference.

Catherine has a uniquely quirky but articulate way of turning a phrase that precisely expresses what she's thinking and yet does so in a way the likes of which I've never heard. When Sean asked her if she would be willing to move to Dallas her answer was "I'm pretty expired in Seattle".
She's used the phrase "to justify it all" before. On the LCD when she told Sean she loved him and got nothing back from him by way of acknowledgement she used that same phrase. Of course the analogy to Ocean's 13 is brilliant and no one would make the connection unless they had seen (and remembered) the story line of the real hotel reviewer who got treated horribly by the hotel and staff while they lavished service on the fake reviewer.
Since Catherine subsequently tweeted:
Catherine Giudici @clmgiudici 2h
Sappy Lover Pants speaking: @SeanLowe09 always comes to my rescue ❤ Now, off to vomit because that was so cliche and sticky sweet
it's probable that whatever she was talking about didn't involve Sean.

The hotel reviewer quote also sounds like something one might think after job interviews.

so, she's making the comparison between the "real" whatever being mistreated and the "fake" whatever being lavished with good treatment. hmmm...

Don't know what happened to my post. But
we dont know wht she was referring to, all I know is that I was impressed by how much she creatively use the movie as reference for whatever she was feeling at that time.
To give you an idea of how much tortured the hotel reviewer was here is a clip
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Night or day, the ocean 13 would mess with him constantly because they can and it was fun. Ofcourse the guy was inconvenienced, abused and always feel like
he was 2 seconds away from having nervous breakdown. But he was rewarded because the group, tweaked the slot machine so he can at least have a remuneration for all the unnecessary torture he went through. He was an accidental victim after all.
Whatever Catherine was referring to, since she compared herself to the long suffering hotel reviewer, she wants to be rewarded for it, so she will be justified for
going through much inconvenience. I dont know much about it, just going by the hotel reviewer character.
Minutes after she posted the tweet, Sean came to her 'rescue'. Gag. Yes Catherine, you really know how to use twitter to get the results from your man.
Too bad my man dont use twitter, I would have tweeted 'I need help with the sink', and the prince charming should be saving the day calling a plumber or something.
